The Deck of Cards
You're an alley dog. You were born on the street with no master, no friends, a free dog in this crazy world. You steal food, find shelter under benches and trees, while constantly running away from the dog catcher and the threat of custody hanging over your head. You want your freedom, and you will do anything to keep it. Every new moon, when the sky is darkest, you and the other alley animals meet behind the local Casino to discuss everything that has happened since your last meeting. The last meeting you attended was in an uproar about the new disappearances of comrades, disappearances like nothing the city has ever seen before. It could just be the work of a new dog catcher on the streets… or something more sinister. 52 have gone missing since the last meeting, granting this case the name Deck of Cards. What will you do about this? What will you do to keep your freedom you have tried so hard to keep? What will happen to you?
Greetings. I am Asphalt, leader and organizer of the New Moon gatherings. We have gathered here today to discuss the outbreak of a new dog catcher. Yes, as you may know, this dog catcher has been the unfortunate fate of many of our comrades this past moon. Hush! Wait! Call to order! No, it is nothing more than a new dog catcher! Nothing more! Yes, 52 have gone missing. Yes, I suppose you’re right, that is the amount of a deck of cards. Call to order! Now, to protect our freedom, we must do something to get in the way of this new catcher. Yes, and save our 52 comrades. I need volunteers to help our cause. Call to order! These volunteers will work together to track this new dog catcher. Once they are found, if backup is needed, please see fit to start a bark track. No, nothing bad will happen to said volunteers. You will form a pack, nothing can hurt you when you are in a pack. Be careful not to let them solo you out. Do you understand how important that is? Good. Remember, a pack is as strong as its weakest link. Do I have my volunteers? Good. With the moons light, you will find this dog catcher and save our comrades. It is up to you. Good luck, chasers of the Deck of Cards. Meeting adjourned.

Hey all! Yes that was pretty vague, if anyone has any questions, please ask! (Pre-answers to some questions probably) you can have had many charries as you wish, just don’t go overboard! Yes, the story will center around the volunteers, the chasers of the Deck of Cards. We will develop the plot as we move towards. I was thinking they lived in a suburb off of a city, so not too city-like but still dirty with allies and trash dumps and such. I’ll post my charrie later!

So unfortunately I was not counting all the animals (haha whoops) and the spare suite would be a great idea if we had only 13. Not sure how many we have right now tho!
Ok, and so here was what I was thinking if we do have 13: so the ones who were captured can be a number and a suit, like each creature can have their own card, or be they’re own card. So let’s say... Amber’s the second of hearts. All the other 51 captured would be a different card (our animals can talk about it on the way there so we can RP everyone giving their captured friends suits!), making a Deck of Cards! And now, there are 13 of us going to rescue them. On the way there, we could have our charactures discuss how they’re the ‘spare suite’ because they’re filling in the place of all the other ones and going hunting for them. We can play with this as we go on.
But ANYWHO go ahaid and assign your captured charries a suite and number and our characters can touch more on it while we RP! (Maybe the Kidnappers even gave them code names based on a deck of cards)
Can someone make a character list? Like all the creatures volunteering, they’re species, and the kidnapped. Oh, and Ashpalt is a side character, she will not be coming with us, she has an Alley Pack to run.

Could Sakura possibly be the Queen of Hearts, ya know because she genuinely cares about everyone but she feels too much so she blocks it all out? Maybe? If not then ace of hearts or something heart related.

YES YES YES THANKYOU TUX! *worships* Yes, we should add our cards to the list! How many animals are there? *counts* 11! YES! Two more, and we could go with the spare suite thing. Everyone knows what a suite is right? I may not be spelling it right but whatever, idea is across. So, to explain this better, the 52 each have their own card in a normal deck. WE THE CHASERS OF THE DECK OF CARDS (new national anthum lolS) ARE A DIFFERENT SUITE then the 52. So theres them...plus 13. We made our own suite! The SPARE suite! Haha Im funny I know. Sorry, Im SLAPHAPPY its what NO SLEEP does! *laughs hystarically* I just love high school!

I have anothder one of the Deck! His name is Kei, meaning lucky, he is Sakura's brother and I thought that he would be a good Jack of hearts, since he has a white heart between his brows. I just read the most recent posts and maybe Sakura would be the Jack of freedom.

We are using jokers, correct? *counts cards with jokers* YEP! JOKERS IT IS! She is a joker, as according to an article by Wikipedia "In a standard deck, there are usually two Jokers. The Joker's use varies greatly. Many card games omit the card entirely; as a result, Jokers are often used as informal replacements for lost or damaged cards in a deck by simply noting the lost card's rank and suit on the joker."
