You're an alley dog. You were born on the street with no master, no friends, a free dog in this crazy world. You steal food, find shelter under benches and trees, while constantly running away from the dog catcher and the threat of custody hanging over your head. You want your freedom, and you will do anything to keep it. Every new moon, when the sky is darkest, you and the other alley animals meet behind the local Casino to discuss everything that has happened since your last meeting. The last meeting you attended was in an uproar about the new disappearances of comrades, disappearances like nothing the city has ever seen before. It could just be the work of a new dog catcher on the streets… or something more sinister. 52 have gone missing since the last meeting, granting this case the name Deck of Cards. What will you do about this? What will you do to keep your freedom you have tried so hard to keep? What will happen to you?
Greetings. I am Asphalt, leader and organizer of the New Moon gatherings. We have gathered here today to discuss the outbreak of a new dog catcher. Yes, as you may know, this dog catcher has been the unfortunate fate of many of our comrades this past moon. Hush! Wait! Call to order! No, it is nothing more than a new dog catcher! Nothing more! Yes, 52 have gone missing. Yes, I suppose you’re right, that is the amount of a deck of cards. Call to order! Now, to protect our freedom, we must do something to get in the way of this new catcher. Yes, and save our 52 comrades. I need volunteers to help our cause. Call to order! These volunteers will work together to track this new dog catcher. Once they are found, if backup is needed, please see fit to start a bark track. No, nothing bad will happen to said volunteers. You will form a pack, nothing can hurt you when you are in a pack. Be careful not to let them solo you out. Do you understand how important that is? Good. Remember, a pack is as strong as its weakest link. Do I have my volunteers? Good. With the moons light, you will find this dog catcher and save our comrades. It is up to you. Good luck, chasers of the Deck of Cards. Meeting adjourned.

Hey all! Yes that was pretty vague, if anyone has any questions, please ask! (Pre-answers to some questions probably) you can have had many charries as you wish, just don’t go overboard! Yes, the story will center around the volunteers, the chasers of the Deck of Cards. We will develop the plot as we move towards. I was thinking they lived in a suburb off of a city, so not too city-like but still dirty with allies and trash dumps and such. I’ll post my charrie later!

Name: Sakura but she has everyone call her Cherry.
Age: 2 years 4 months
Gender (or preferred pronouns): female, she/her
Species (you don’t have to be a dog): Fennic Fox
Appearance: A normal fennic fox but her fur is ever so slightly more pink(slightly pinkish-orange fur, creamy stomach, white paws, black tail, big ears, brown eyes, abnormally small even by fennic fox standards, etc.)
Personality: Suspicious, serious, quiet, agile, calm, loner, kind to creatures that she likes, intelligant, and wise.
Something random about you: Sakura smells kind of like cherry blossoms which is why Sakira is her name.
How you reacted to this meeting: She quietly nodded, sending the message that she is volenteering, and walked away.
Background: Escaped from her family because they didn't properly care for her and she has been untrusting of humans ever since.

Appearance: all black with tiny white dots that look like stars and the black has some purple and blue honestly because of her look she is surprised to be a stray oh can’t forget the sharp claws and teeth
Personality: fierce doesn’t talk much fast like super duper fast and super athletic only on a clear night though
Something random about you: has some connection to a clear night sky

Background: family was part of the deck taken will do anything to get them back. Her mother Sky and brother Comet were taken in the 52. Her father was taken by the dog catcher before the 52 and is presumed dead. Nova turned away from everyone else and has lived alone in an alley. She has been found by humans numerous times but she escaped them all. had friends but they were taken away as well she thinks that if animals are around her they will be taken. When she was little she watched animals that she knew be taken either in the 52 or by other catchers which is why she belives this.

OMK YES! That’s a great idea! Or there could be uh 13 in all and they could be the ‘spare’ suite or the freedom suite or something like that.
Oh and we could give the 52 captured numbers and suites too, like Twister could be the Ace of Spades and Amber could be the 2 of hearts or something.

Name: Sky
Age: 13 in cat years, 2 in human years.
Gender (or preferred pronouns): Female
Species (you don’t have to be a dog): Cat
Appearance: She's a tabby, with her dominant fur being black and her markings light grey and orange. She has long-ish fur, is pretty long (But lithe) and has grey and gold-flaked eyes. She is quite pretty, despite the scars she has on her face, and has a very graceful stride.
Purrrrrrrrsonality: She has a graceful, charming way of speach, and is quite intelligent. She holds no prejudices against dogs, and when in an conversation with them, she often manages to convince them not to hold prejudices against her. She is rather strange in the sense that, unlike other cats, she is an introvert. She may seem perfect, but in truth, she only does things if they benefit her in the long run.
Something random about you: She likes all seafood, but especially crab.
How you reacted to this meeting: She lurked in the shadows, knowing that to alert the dogs that a cat listened to their meetings would be suicide, for even she could not talk hundreds of dogs into not attacking her, and though she had many pack-friends, some with great influence, they would be no defence against that many. "Tell them..." she whispered to Ash "Tell them that the Sky agrees." she then slunk away.
Background: She was orphaned from shortly after she was weaned, then taken in by a couple named Bane (A wolf) and Falc (A husky) who raised her along with their daughter, Ash. Also, @Rogue Wildling, could Fang be the daughter of Bane's sister and another wolf?
Other: @Insomniactic, could Cosmos and Sky be friends, or at least (Distrustful) allies? Alignment: Neutral.

Age: Around 8
Gender: Female
Species (you don’t have to be a dog): Canaan dog mix
Appearance: Sleek, slender build, white coat with hints of tan, amber eyes.
Personality: Juno is independent, and a loner by nature. She prefers to keep to herself, and not much is known about her. She’s very distrustful, but loyal to her friends for life. She doesn’t like dogs or other animals that talk a lot or talk very fast, and she won’t tolerate being annoyed. She has a quick temper and can be snappy and can come off as aggressive, but in reality she’s more submissive. She’s always tense and alert, always ready to fight if necessary, something she’s had to learn in order to survive on the streets. She’s only relaxed when she’s around those she trusts. Deep down, she’s afraid.
Something random about you: She has certain things that she’s extremely scared of that she won’t reveal to anyone. Some of these fears include water, small dark spaces, and being confined.
How you reacted to this meeting: Juno lurked in the shadows at first, keeping her presence hidden, but when she heard the call for volunteers, she stepped forward, surprising those who knew her, and volunteered herself.
Background: Her mother was a canaan dog whose owner mistreated her, and eventually she ran away. She lived on the streets for awhile, trying to adjust to the new life, and once she was nearly captured by the dog catcher, but a mysterious dog helped her get away. They saw more of each other on the streets, and soon the two fell in love and became mates. They had three pups, Juno, Ilta, and Vulcan. A year or so later, an unfortunate accident occurred from which only Juno and her sister Ilta survived. Ilta was one of the 52 captured, and Juno will do anything to get her back.
