Dragon Hunters RP

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A figure stood at the base of the mountain, his brown cloak blowing in the wind. The creases on his face showed signs of aging, but the man was still very strong. His brow sat low above his eyes, and he seemed as if he was watching something on the mountain very closely.
Then the man began to climb. It wasn't long until the man reached the peak of the mountain. He drew something out of his cloak, thrusting it into the air. Seven pieces of paper fluttered in the wind, drifting down, heading for the village below.
..
Èolith trudged along the cobblestone path leading through the village. She pulled her coat tighter around her body as the snow began to fall. Suddenly, she noticed something blow by her face. Èolith snatched the piece of parchment from the chilly air.
Child,
The north is calling. We must arise once again. The strong. The fearless. The warriors. The hunters and the huntresses. The seekers. The wanderers. The ones who will make up our small party. Come, join us. Find your journey. Come to the top of Fuar Peak. Gather with us. We will be strong once again.
Arlerac, Huntsman of the North.
Èolith gasped. There was a small symbol beside the signature. The mark of the Dragon Hunters. She could only imagine what this meant.
Many years ago, the legendary Dragon Hunters had braved the snowy mountains of north Daklur. Some thought that while up there, the hunters and huntresses fought and stayed dragons, protecting the village below. Others claimed that these men and women tamed the dragons, creating an alliance. Only a true Dragon Hunter knew. These people were both admired and feared.  And becoming one was only for the strong willed and not for the weak of heart. A few years ago, however, the Dragon Hunters were banned from the village, and one by one, they began to disappear, until they became just a myth. When the Dragon Hunters were gone, the dragons began to slowly close in on the village, expanding their territory farther and farther down the mountains, until it wasn't even safe to be beyond the forest at the base of Fuar Peak after sundown.
However, there was once a prophecy that a time like this would come. And it was only the rise of a bigger evil. It was said that seven would be chosen. Seven children. They would be the next generation of Dragon Hunters.
Èolith had always loved hearing legends and stories of the Dragon Hunters. She had dreamed of becoming one herself. So when she read this piece of paper, there was no question that she would go to Fuar Peak. Èolith ran all the way home, forgetting about the cold, her head filled with wonderings about what the other six would be like.
If you've read this far, great job! As you probably guessed, this is an RP. I hope that the snippets I posted were self explanatory.
-Be kind and respectful, always (this one is kinda obvious).
-No OP charries.
-I will accept 7-10 charries, that's it. Six of these will be the next generation of Dragon Hunters and Huntresses, and I'll allow some older dragon hunters such as Arlerac. I'm going to start with a one charrie per person limit, but if not enough people join, then maybe I'll allow extras.
-Try and develop your charries. Really try. If you write a one sentence personality, I might not accept your charrie.
I shouldn't do this.
It's too good. I'm doing it anyway.
Name: Aria Tajeldr
Age: 57
Gender: female
Appearance: Chin-length gray hair with one silver-white streak, gray-green eyes, long pointy nose that you should not comment about if you don't want a hard punch in the face. Slightly on the short side with a muscular build. Has one of those timeless faces that could be forty or sixty-five and you'd never know the difference. Wears leather armor on her chest and shoulders, sturdy boots and gloves, and practical tunics and trousers in shades of burgundy and off-white. Carries her dagger in its sheath on her hip at all times.
Personality: Feisty, tenacious, and incredibly stubborn, often seeming to possess all the energy and drive of a much younger woman. She's something of a jack-of-all-trades, being excellent at fighting (especially with a dagger or in hand-to-hand combat), musicianship, basic magic, and even library research. She likes to think she has a strong moral compass, though this sometimes isn't the case; if provoked, she responds with violence sooner than necessary, and is prone to sacrificing the needs of the few for the good of the many. Threaten her family and friends, though, and you will pay for it. Despite her affinity for small spells, she holds a deep distrust for very powerful magic, especially magic dealing with undeath- it's her feeling that such magic cannot come without a price, a price she's unwilling to pay.
Strengths: Versatility, physical and mental endurance, strong musical and combat skills, biting wit
Weaknesses: Sometimes-shaky morals, vengeful and far from a pacifist, not as young as she used to be (physical strength and ability to recuperate from wounds/disease aren't great)
Background: Aria grew up in a family of traveling bards, hearing - and telling - stories about the Dragon Hunters. She trained to become an adventurer throughout her adolescence, but then took a husband and tried to settle down. It didn't work; times were hard, their money ran low, and when Aria discovered she was pregnant, her husband didn't want her to keep the baby, which was the last straw. She kicked him out of her house (quite literally) and raised her daughter, who she named Melody, on her own. As Melody grew older Aria began to go back to adventuring. In the course of her travels, she had a very bad experience with a magical artifact, leaving her an inch away from going rogue and becoming a villain. By the time she fully recovered from the thing's mental influence, Melody was twenty and all but estranged from her mother. At a loss for what to do, Aria decided to become a Dragon Hunter in the last few years of the Hunters' public existence. She told no one about her sudden choice, though she tried and failed to contact Melody. Most of the people in the area now believe her to be dead.
Other: Will not tolerate puns, for some reason. Talks with all the proper grammar of the upper crust, in a commoner's accent.
Name: Stjera Jokkul
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Appearance: Loosely curly black hair that goes down to her shoulder blades. She's pale and has a few freckles sprayed across her cheekbones. She has a small mouth and a small nose but chocolate brown almond shaped eyes that are a bit rounder (however, she still looks Asian). She's slim but agile, and average height. She usually wears a cloudy blue tunic with dark pans, almost legging material, and laced up boots. She always wears a black cloak, and will most often have a bow and arrow on her back.
Personality: Kind, gentle, and merciful. She's an adventurous and curious person. However, many people take advantage of her because she used to be quite naive, so she refrained from showing any real emotions or talking to people about problems. Sometimes people overwhelm her. She has trust issues, and is an amazing, amazing lier. She very smart and observant, and can pinpoint flaws in a matter of seconds. She moves and fidgets quite often, and prefers the company of herself and her horse to tons of people. She has an eye for detail, which makes her specially good at the bow and arrow.
Strengths: Intelligence, precision, lying
Weakness: Lying, trusting, fire, and sometimes people
Background: Ètoile grew up with only her father and her one older brother (by one year) a younger brother (by one year) and her other younger brother (by six years). Her family were forever the only people that actually cared about her. The others around her, including the neighbours and other children often said she was strange and different, and not in the nicest meaning. Something eventually happened that caused her to run away, which will be explained later on in RPing.
Password: Dragontooth
Other: She loves cold weather and snow
I was having a hard time with names and meant to put Ètoile (eh-toe-lee) as my charrie's first name. Sorry for the confusion.
@Jarvis and Nebula, Please make your charries! I'm sorry, all the young huntresses are taken, so you'll have to make boy charries. As soon as you make yours, we'll be able to start!
OK, I'm finally here to make my charrie!
Name: Edvin VonHassbinger
Age: 47
Gender: Male
Appearance:Despitenot being too old, his hair is stark white and sticks up in odd places. He has incredibly bushy eyebrows and ice-blue eyes. He wears heavy coats lined with fur and two gauntlets made of white scales. Upon his back he has an iron broadsword about as tall as him slung across his back.
Personality: He's loner, but extremely talkative. Just notto other people. He says the rocks 'tell him things'. He's very trusting, and a little crazy. OK, a lot crazy. Never complains and goes on and on and on until he collaspes without even knowing he was tired in the first place.A little foolish, and makes decisions way to quick.
Strengths: Very strong,and has amazingsurvival skills.
Weaknesses: He's pretty crazy, and he trusts people incredibly easily. Also doesn't like to talk to other people.
Background: When an Ice Dragon attacked his northern village of Iesengrad, killing his wife and family, he swore he would hunt it till the dragon was dead. He spent years and years in the mountains with no company but himself, and encountering many other threats and dragons along the way. When he eventually found the beast, he slew it and fashioned himself the gauntlets he wears now. However, when he came back to society, nobody beleived him. By the time he came back, most Dragon Huntershad either died or been banned, so he was cast out. Nobody would house him in their inns, nobody would sell him food, or give him water, and his 'talking to rocks' habit didn't help. So he drew back into the mountains to continue to protect the village from the drgons, even though they had cast him out. Nobody knows why except him, and he's too busy talking to that Elk over there.
Password: Dragontooth
Other: He speaks with a sweedish accent, so 'the' become 'Ze' and 'what' becomes 'vhat' and so on.
I'm really excited to start this! :D
Random note about dragons: maybe they could be D&D-esque in that they're definitely magical and definitely intelligent, but some are good (or benevolent to humans at least) and some are not? The Hunters wouldn't kill them unless it was a matter of life or death for the human villages, they'd just make deals (stay away from the valley and we'll make sure this other dragon doesn't steal your hunting grounds, etc.) and ensure that the dragons stick to them. Since the Hunters have been...out of commission, a few of the more chaotic evil dragons have been going back on their word, and that's the dragon problems everyone's been having...?
Just my ideas. Leeli, what do you think?
I was thinking along those lines too. That means we'll need a Bard in case we run into a Copper Dragon. When I said Ice Dragon, I meant more like a White Dragon, cruel and ruthless. I really like the idea of making them more D & D-esque.
Wait--what? Copper dragon? Bard? I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with D&D.
