September’s (very late) CBversary RP!!

Cambria is a flourishing port city, full of life, laughter, and magic. For a city built from the ashes of a war only months ago, it is remarkable how much it’s grown and developed. And it’s also remarkable how quickly it’s grown, though no one questions the magic.
Your characters were children when the city rose. And they are barely grown when the city falls.
An inescapable darkness has risen. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, an idea unheeded by the founders of Cambria. Too much magic calls forth too much darkness. But what’s done is done, and their only hope now is to journey beyond the land across the perilous sea, in an attempt to save the people they have doomed.
The journey is not for the faint of heart.
The Lottery is the last thing they give you, a system enchanted to find the bravest, the strongest, the smartest, only the best to sail across the Deep and find salvation.

Rules and Information that you will NEED to know (PLEASE READ THEM ALL):
- There are 14 spots. Reservations are accepted, but you MUST post your charrie within a week of you reserving that spot or I’ll give it to someone else
- This will start after I have at least 7 characters
- I’d love a cast of both males and females, which brings up an important point
- CHARACTERS!!!! I would love if we had a ton of diversity, so I’m accepting literally anything, especially POC (People of Color) and LGBTQ+ (@ADMINS, sorry, just wanted to make sure you saw this if you’re not allowing this, please delete the part where it says LGBTQ+, so no one gets confused, thanks!!) NOTE: I will be looking over your characters and okaying them.
- The time period is a fantasy-medival, think Throne of Glass, Six of Crows, A Darker Shade of Magic, or if you have no idea what I’m talking about, just think of Pirates of the Caribbean or something in terms of clothing and technology

- A note on magic: If you choose to give your characters magic, it does not mean that they can summon winds, control the ocean, or anything big like that. The magic in this world comes from a sort of stronghold thingy, so it can be mined, but not everyone is compatible with the magic, meaning that it is very picky and may possibly reject your character
- I might be a tad bit harsh on your character, but remember, it’ll help with your character building!

I'd like for you to fill out the default expression and one word to sum them up, so I can get a better sense of how to interact with your character. For the one word to sum them up, yeah, I get what you're saying, but please put one of their overarching characteristics that can sum up their personality; for example, you character sounds quite guarded. Also, I'd like for you to add one more weakness and his PTSD triggers. Thanks!!

I can't think of PTSD triggers yet because I haven't decided how his mother died. Is it okay if I figure this out later?

This looks like a lot of fun!!! Mind if I join? I also love the idea of Finnish names! My brother went and visited Finland for two years. (Sorry for errors, I'm on my device instead of computer.)
Name: Ainikki Rostoni. (Ay-knee-key) She's called Kikki by friends and family.
Age: 17

Weight: 111 pounds
Appearence: She has milk chocolate skin, and walnut brown eyes. Her dark brown hair is thin and goes two inches past her shoulders. It's usually pulled up into a milkmaid braid. She also has bangs that go straight across her forehead just above her eyebrows. She has a bit of buck teeth going on, and scars decorate her back. Her nose bridge comes down with a slight decline. Her lips are dark pink.
Default exspresion: Worried
Personality: She always tries to look on the bright side, which can be annoying in some situations or to some people. She likes to read a lot, and has trouble making friends. She has a bit of social anxiety, but will do anything she can to help someone. Whenever she can stand up to someone to help others she will, but never for herself. She hates loud noises, especially yelling. Very rarely she can be a Debbie downer, but when she is, she is extremely pessimistic.
Strenghts: She's a great listener.
Weaknesses: A giant pushover.
Greatest Motivation: The greater good for other's.
Greatest Flaw: Mistrust. Hides things from people, and can freak out if anyone gets too close that she's not comfortable with.
Greatest fear: Dark, damp places, and Her father and old boss. And sometimes shady people. She was once a whipping girl for someone higher on the social chain, and her father would/does beat her. Sometimes he would put her in the cellar for hours, or days if she "acted" out.
One word: Conflicted
Howgwart House: Hufflepuff, and very very slight slitheren.
Social status: Almost bottom, and very low.
Magic wielder: She's always wanted to, but her father forbids it.
Preferred Weapon: The bow and arrow. Clean, silent, and elegant.

Appearance: light black skin, think milk chocolate, with darker brown eyes and neatly cut black hair that doesn't curl. A white smile with long eye teeth. Muscly, works out often. Strong. Has a tatoo of a snake climbing down his shoulder and onto his upper arm. Usually only wears Jean shorts in a faded greyish colour. Large, lush lips in a faded pink color. Wears a necklace of a rope tied around a shark tooth. Smallish botton nose, an ear piercing on his right ear. Has a scar you can barley noticeable on the upper half of his left cheek bone. High cheek bones.
Default expretion: uh....a half smile? Idk
Personality: kind, gentle, seems tough on the outside just to cover his soft inside. Will help anyone in need. Loyal to all he trusts, though it is hard to gain his trust. Holds grudges. Respectfull, humble, courageous, riskfull.
Strengths: humble, kind, risktaker, will protect anyone he loves to the death.
Weaknesses: hard to trust, holds grudges.
Greatest motivation: uh....to protect the people in need and the ones he loves?
Greatest flaw: very likely to kill himself doing something stupid. And he hold grudges, which can turn ugly.
Greatest fear: to become his father

Yes, that's fine! I'll make the changes:
Strengths: I didn't mean that she was psychic. I just kind of thought she's good at visual cues, like you said, but I didn't explain it very well.
Greatest Flaw: I didn't explain this very well either. I meant that she will continue to focus on something until she finds the answer, and that she gets lost in the process. She loses focus, and eventually travels further from the correct answer. I still don't think I'm explaining it that well, but it's basically what you said.

Appearance: Olin has wavy black hair which he wears to the back of his neck, light brown eyes, a slightly pudgy face with a wide nose and a large, x-shaped scar on his forehead from losing a fight. His body is athletic, but not overtly muscular. He generally keeps all of this covered with a black, hooded cloack which is slightly too short for him. Underneath his cloak he wears a rough, black wool shirt tucked into pants of the same material.
Default expression: Neutral
Personality: Olin is highly reliant first impressions: if he decides he likes you, he'll follow you to Hades and back; but if not, he will be extremely passive-aggressive. He's most comfortable off the ground, climbing on scaffolding or trees. Olin is an excellent liar, and can keep a straight face while saying outrageous things.
Strengths (as in personality): Can think on his feet and make decisions quickly.
Weaknesses (as in personality): Has poor judgement, and often rushes into situations where caution would be better advised.
Greatest Motivation: To prove he is worth more to society than a person to unknowingly give their purses to.
Greatest Flaw: Can't swim, and is not very tactful.
Greatest Fear: Drowning
