Warriors Roleplay!

I know a lot of ppl have these, but I kinda wanted my own. If you have not read the books, check out Mei-Xue's Warriors RP thread on Blab About Books for a better description. Let's get right into the plot.

To put it simply, the Clans are a mess. Lovers have been crossing the borders, Completley disregarding the Warrior code, Medicine cats have been loving other cats, and StarClan has seemingly deserted them. It's up to five cats to bring the clans back together. One of Wind, one of Thunder, one of River, one of Shadow and one of Star. Can they do it?

Okay, so I am the prophecied cat from StarClan, and I have a living Clan cat(but she isn't part of the prophecy). You can have up to five charries. If you have already claimed a prophecy cat, you cannot claim another-one prophecy cat per CBer, first come, first served. Here is the sign up sheet:

Ravenpaw~
Ravenpaw touched her nose to the moonpool, and instantly its icy tingle ran through her, from the tip of her tail to the ends of her whiskers. She closed her eyes, and when she opened them, she was standing on the edge of the flowing strength that surrounded the Riverclan camp. In front of her was a fluffly white kit with bright, shining blue eyes. Ravenpaw remembered her immediately. "You're Snowkit! My...my littermate." Snowkit nuzzled Ravenpaw affectionately. Ravenpaw was amazed at the intensity and wisdom of the gaze of the kit who had died when she was only a moon old. But suddenly, the kit became solum. "Ravenpaw" she said, with a new full of power "~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~" Ravenpaw blinked in surprise, and was just able to hear her dead sister say "I miss you, Ravenpaw." before she found herself in Starclan hunting grounds with Owlpaw and three cats that I didn't recognize. One of them, a golden she cat with deep brown eyes, was a Starclan cat, and Ravenpaw shot her a glance, to which she defensively mewed "Don't look at me! Just becuase I'm from Starclan doesn't know that I know any more than any of you!" She growled slightly, and Ravenpaw decided to avoid this cat if possible. She was formidable. And slightly scary. "Hush." Ravenpaw turned around to see a small group of cats who had an aura of command around them. In one voice, they chanted the same prophecy that Snowkit had said to her earlier. Then, everything faded and Ravenpaw found herself with the others around the moonpool. She stood up and shook herself. In a shaky voice, she said. "Ok, if we're all going to be part of this prophecy, I'm going to need to know all of your names. I'm Ravenpaw."

Okay. This is going to be a super-complex and long post. So... prepare yourselves.

Dewstep

~~

Carefully, Dewstep hooked out a marigold leaf with her claw, a drop of juice leaking out as her thorn-sharp claw pierced it. Raising it up so the light dimly shone through it, she looked at the leaf and saw so much more. A medicine cat... trained to heal, save, and speak with StarClan. All I ever dreamed. But then Streamfeather came along... she sighed, letting the leaf drift to the ground. Sometimes it's so hard to walk this path alone. But now, because of my love, I'll be hated by the Clans. Her fur bristled as a cat pushed into the medicine den. Spinning around, Dewstep saw it was Mallowpaw.

Her apprentice had usually been so kind. Sharp-tongued and feisty, but gentle, forgiving, and caring. But lately, all she had seen in her sharp golden eyes was anger, distrust, and spite. Mallowaw practically lived for the code. After all, her mother had been one of the first cats to cross the borders and love another. That was what made Mallowpaw so resilient. She had won her Clanmate's trust, and vowed to always follow StarClan, to never make the mistake of her mother.

Now, however, as Dewstep looked at Mallowpaw, she saw nothing but guilt and anguish. Taken aback slightly, Dewstep curled her tail around her paws, quickly turning around to avoid Mallowpaw's gaze. Absentmindedly, she began sorting herbs to try and figure this out. An odd sense of doom hung over her. Wondering what could make Mallowpaw so terrified and guilty, she opened her mouth and asked a question.

The words came out louder than if she had yowled to StarClan. "Is... everything alright?" Mallowpaw noticeably flinched, her fur fluffing up along her spine. Quickly she flattened it, but her stature remained tense.

"Yes, of course... why-- why wouldn't it be?" she replied, stammering a little. Dewstep finally turned around to face her, herbs rustling back.

"Mallowpaw... I know you're mad at me about what happened, but I'm still your mentor. I want to help you, and I--"

"I'm so sorry!" Mallowpaw burst out. Dewstep gasped a sharp intake of breath, and Mallowpaw's eyes widened with fear. Her eyes wet, she took several trembling pawsteps backwards, the fled the medicine den. Dewstep stood there for several moments, shell-shocked. What in the name of RiverClan could have made Mallowpaw so distressed. She snapped out of it as she heard a Clan meeting being called. Padding out of her den, she noticed Rainstar's matted fur, and the way his blue eyes coldly stared at her. Pure fear laced through her. Rainstar was getting older, and she could tell his mind was beginning to fail. Only one thing could have made him this angry at her. Mallowpaw... you told him, didn't you? she thought.

"Clanmates, listen closely, for I have some very important news," hissed Rainstar, his scruffy black pelt bristling. He took a deep breath, then whipped around to face her and snarled, "We have a traitor in our midst!" The whole Clan gasped, and Berrytalon, who was sitting next to her, leaped away, her golden eyes wide with confusion.

Rainstar loomed over her, his eyes bright and wild. "This cat has betrayed the warrior code! She has loved another… and no less than our own deceased deputy, Streamfeather!” He spat these words at her, his teeth bared. Dewstep cowered on the ground, terrified. Rainstar had been ready to join StarClan for some time, and this must have been the breaking point. She lifted her head, unsure of what she would see, but the only things she saw were fear, confusion, anger, and betrayal reflected on every cat’s face. Dewstep took a step back, her legs shaking. Rainstar straightened himself up. His eyes glittered with icy blue anger.

“Dewstep,” he said in an imperious voice. “You have broken the warrior code and betrayed all our Clanmates. You may have even killed Streamfeather.” This brought a wave of memories washing back to Dewstep. He was right… Streamfeather had died in an unfair fight with a ShadowClan patrol when him and Dewstep had been meeting on their border. If they hadn’t been meeting, he wouldn’t have died… Rainstar continued, even though Dewstep was past any more heartbreak.

“And I say this under the watching eyes of StarClan… Dewstep, you are no longer welcome in RiverClan to serve as a medicine cat or anything else.” Dewstep looked up, horrified. She had never heard of a cat being banished, though she suspected she deserved it. As she hesitated for a second, Rainstar leapt at her, knocking her backwards. “GO!”

She took a staggering step backwards, then turned and fled from the camp. Cats scrambled out of her way as she blindly pushed out of the reeds. A sharp stone nicked her paw, leaving a small gash that leaked blood as she raced away, far away from all her mistakes. She saw the river ahead of her, its waters tumbling and rolling. She plunged into it, the current swirling around her. She paddled through it, her eyesight blurring. Surging out of the other side, she kept running, darting into the forest. She wasn’t sure where she was right now, just somewhere forested. Tall pines towered over her, and she dodged around them, paws slipping on the rotting leaves.

Finally she saw a copse a bracken. Shoving into it, she collapsed and curled into a ball, her fur wet and scruffed. Almost instantly, despite all that had just happened, she slipped into a black wave of sleep.

            **Two moons pass**

Cloverleaf’s head jerked up. Obsidianpelt and Swallowheart were scuffling in backwards, dragging something large and heavy behind them. She padded over, eyes widening when she saw the limp shape huddled on the ground. It was a cat, but one that looked like it’d rather not be alive. “We found this on the ShadowClan border,” said Swallowheart, his dark green eyes glittering. “Not even sure if she’s alive any more.” Cloverleaf sniffed the limp form.

Her fur was scruffy and ragged, dark blue-gray and matted. Splashes of white were littered across her fur, along with small white speckles, and her front paws were also white. Cloverleaf stifled a gasp as she turned over the cat. A long, ragged scar traced over her eye, only half-healed. She smelled rancid, like she hadn’t washed for moons. Suddenly she gasped, inhaling a sudden breath. Cloverleaf jumped back. Spottedtail poked her head out of the nursery, Eclipsekit and Lightningkit scrambling at her paws. “What is it, Cloverleaf?” she asked, gentling curling her tail around Lightningkit and pulling the black-and-white kit to her side. Cloverleaf turned to the deputy to answer her, but the loner haltingly pushed herself to her paws and coughed, her voice rasping and hacking.

“I--*koff*-- where am I?” she asked, her voice grating. Spottedtail pushed her kits into the nursery and strode over to the loner, her calico fur gleaming in comparison to the loner’s.

“You’re in the ThunderClan camp,” said Spottedtail, her voice even. “Now, my turn to ask the questions. Firstly, what happened to your eye? Why are you here? Who are you?” The loner paused, as if unsure what to say. Something like relief passed through her eye, but then it was gone. Shaking out her pelt, she sat down.

“Well, in short, I tangled with a fox when I shouldn’t have. I hadn’t fought for a while, so I barely escaped with my life. Though I did leave an eye behind.” Her tail swept through the dust beside her, dousing it a chalky brown. “Secondly, I’m here because…” she hesitated, then continued. “I smelled cats.” Spottedtail was slightly surprised at this. Normally, rogues and loners shied away from other cats, especially the Clans’. “And I couldn’t exactly sit in the bushes with my eye bleeding.”

“And as for your last question, my name is D-- my name is-- Doe. I’m… Doe.”

So Dewstep has been banished from RiverClan, became a rogue for two moons (lost her RiverClan scent) (and her eye). The random white all over her fur is from a Twoleg dump of bleach that she accidentally stumbled in chasing a mouse. So she looks, smells, and talks different, and has a new name. Shadowmoon and Inktail, you guys can do what you want with her. I mean, because she joins ThunderClan under the new name and stuff. Cool?

Ok,  yep. Very cool!

Here we go--prepare yourselves.

Spottedtail-

I stared at the rougue, slightly suspicious, slightly shocked. I moved over to let....Doe.....into camp.

"Thank you..." Doe whispered. I nodded.

"Thank you, Obsidianpelt  and Swallowheart." We dipped our heads to each other. As Doe walked past, I caught a VERY hidden scent........fish? I shook my head to clear it. By the time I'm done, the scent is gone.

Hmm, something was off about that loner. But I sighed, and accompanied Doe to Whitestar's den. I coughed to alert Whitestar to our presence. She nodded. Me and the cat walked in.

"Whitestar, this is Doe. Obsidianpelt  and  Swallowheart found her by the ShadowClan border." I leaned over to her ear. "I think she wants to join the clan." I murmured.

If Whitestar was repulsed by Doe's apparence, she didn't show it. She just gasped slightly. "Maybe you should go see Lightfeather,  our medicine cat." Doe nodded and backed out of the den.

Whitestar stood up. "What happened? She looks horrible."

I sighed. "Apparently, she tangled with a fox." I opened my mouth to explain further, but Whitestar shook her head. I nodded. "I'll go check on her." Bowing my head, I stepped back.

Where had I seen Doe before? She looked so familar, and yet I couldn't place it. I sighed and entered Lightfeather's den. "How is she?" I asked.

Lightfeather nodded. "Okay. The eye will be hard to fix, but I should be able to do it. But if not......" She sighed. I took the hint. If Lightfeather couldn't fix it, Doe would be half blind forever.

I nodded and backed oUT of the den. Sighing, I headed to the nursery. Inside, Eclipsekit and Lightningkit were jumping around the nursery. Silverfern looked annoyed, but she was laughing. Her young kits (who had barely opened the eyes), tried to join in, but just succeeded  in getting their tails run over. They mewled, and ran back to Silverfern. I laughed.

"Eclipsekit!!! Lightningkit!!!! Stop this!!" I could barely get the words oUT for llaughing so hard!! I pulled them into the corner.

Later that night, as I tried to sleep, with the kits jumping all over me, I started thinking about Doe. I hoped she was ok. Now, where had I scented her before?!? This was getting on my nerves. I sighed and shoved my thoughts down so I could sleep. Just before sleep claimed me, my brain clicked together!

"Dewstep...."I murmured quietly, as I drifted off to sleep. Litthe did I know that Dewstep..er, Doe....was poking her head in the nursry at that moment. What had I done?

Ok......someone needs to post..........I'm going to post the rest of my previous comment.

Spottedtail-(cont.)

After that night, I felt better. I sat up and stretched. At my movement, Eclipsekit woke up. Where was the other warm body I had come to grow accustomed too?

"Lightningkit?" I cried. Where was he? Eclipsekit arched her back.

"Last I heard, he went to the dirt place." She yawned.

"But he should have been back by now...." I muttered.  "Stay here with Silverfern. I'll know if you've been bad!!" I called as I raced out the door. Cloverleaf was heading to the Warriors den to wake up the next sentry. I flicked my tail gently next to her while I scampered to the leaders den.

"Whitestar!" I gasped. She flipped over and stood up.

"Lightningkit.....he's gone. Eclipsekit told me he went to the dirt place, but he isn't there."

Whitestar gasped. "Order a patrol to help look for him. We need that kit." I was suprised at the harsh tone in her voice, but gladly obliged.

I have a prophecy from Starclan.

This roleplay shall not die!

Short, but to the point. Ok, here goes.

Ravenpaw~

Ravenpaw sat on the edge of the stream, eyes glinting, paw outstretched. She searched the water for any signs of life; any movement that would indicate prey. Nothing. The waters remained stubbornly tranquil until....... Flash! In a instant, Ravenpaw had hooked a trout out of the water and killed it with a single bite. She couldn't surpress a small mrrow of satisfaction as her mentor, Splashburst came padding out of the bushes, with Streamheart, Minnowpaw's mentor, and Reedclaw, Featherpaw's mentor. Ravenpaw felt a prick of guilt. She hadn't gotten the chance to talk to the Riverclan medicine cat about Splahburst before Rainstar had done the unthinkable; banishing Dewstep. And for what? Memories of a buried past recently brought to light? In retrospect, Ravepaw had decided that maybe talking to the cat who had been thrown out of the clan for forbidden love about forbidden love might not be the best idea. Still, she missed the medicine cat's quite calm. She could have asked her about other things, like why nothing out of the ordinary had happened in the last three moons after she had talked to the others about the prophecy. That seemed to rank higher in importance than Splashburst's betrayed to her clan. As her mentor padded towards her, eyes gleaming with pride, Ravenpaw felt a small tendril of guilt worm its way through her mind at the secrets that she held in her paws. After all, who was she to judge, when she had no experience with love herself? And how was she, just a mere apprentice, supposed to save the clans? Ravenpaw's thoughts were shattered by Streamheart and Reedclaw arriving behind Splashburst, their paws sinking into the wet, marshy ground. "Well done, Ravenpaw. Your final assessment is going very well." Ravenpaw accepted Streamheart's compliment with a happy flick of her tail, and turned to Splashburst. "Where to next, Slashburst?" Splashburst flicked her tail in excitement. "We're going to assess your battle training now. Let's go!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ravenpaw flopped down into her nest, utterly exhausted. The difficulty of the assessment, combined with the stress of them had taken its toll on her. She closed her eyes, and was about to drift off into sleep, when she heard a low wail coming from the clearing. Suddenly awake, Ravenpaw padded out of her den to find Mallowpaw crouched over Rainstar's body. "He's dead!" Mallowpaw wailed. "I didn't save him in time.... I'm a t-terrible medicine cat..... I need Dewstep!" Ravenpaw felt empathy stab her like a thorn. She knew how it felt to feel inadaquite, to feel like no matter how hard she tried, it would never be enough. Ever since Dewstep had been banished, Mallowpaw had seemed moody, distractible, and unsure of herself. After all, she hadn't been able to complete her medicine cat training. Ravenpaw padded out to the limp leader, and felt a surge of sadness as she saw that Rainstar was no longer moving. The old leader had been on his last life. Ravenpaw dipped her head in sorrow. Now, only one thing was clear. Riverclan needed Dewstep, and they needed her now.
Omg!! Ok. Thx for the nice note above ur post too. I was hoping it wouldn't die. :)))
Spottedtail~
For the next few days, Doe avoided me. For a while I wondered why, but I knew the answer in my heart.
She knew I knew.
I had been a good friend and hadn't told Whitestar, altough the leader had noticed something was up. We had found Lightningkit near the edge of our terriotry. Right now, I confined him to the nursery.
Doe/Dewstep
(I'm going to continue calling her Dewstep when she's talking, but others will call her Doe when she's in ThunderClan... for now.)
~~
A scared chirp was quickly cut off as Dewstep snapped at the bird's neck, killing it with a bite. Beside her, Wolfclaw nodded as he she stood up again with her prey. Inside, though, her stomach squirmed with uneasiness. She was used to capturing fish from the river, not birds, mice and squirrels. She had just barely caught this thrush, as it almost fluttered away before she could swipe at it with her paw. She had been living in ThunderClan as Doe for a few sunrises, and the longer she stayed, the worse she felt. It was obvious to her the ThunderClan didn't trust her. After all, she had turned up like a lightning bolt in a blue sky, with a ragged scar across her face. Speaking of which...
The scar made it nearly impossible for her to hunt, and still difficult to fight. She felt like a rock thrown into the river, tossed about by the current, not fitting in with the flow. And the news that Rainstar had died had been even more of a dull blow. Splashburst and Ravenpaw had shown up just the previous day, bringing the sad news. Dewstep had shivered as her previous Clanmates entered the camp, but they took no notice of her, except to give her an odd glance as she lurked in the shadows, her scar still raw and her coat splashed with white.
She padded after Wolfclaw, head low, as they returned to the ThunderClan camp. After Rainstar had banished her, rather unjustly she might add, she'd fled into the territory beyond the Clans', where no one could get at her there. Several days later, a fox had pounced on her. Starving and weak, she had no way to defend herself and barely escaped with her life, though she left an eye and several patches of fur behind. From there several moons had passed, with disturbing dreams of five cats against a bloodstained lake; one white and gold, one a pale tabby brown, one a glossy black, one a soft gray, and one a mottled calico, with stars sparkling at her paws.
She had been so desperate to see the Clans that when she smelled ThunderClan, she barely thought about the fact that they were a rival Clan before dragging herself past their borders, only to collapse before reaching the camp. From there she had been found by a patrol and taken to the ThunderClan camp, where she ultimately joined. And yet her heart belonged in RiverClan, with the rolling river and silver fish. Besides, one cat already knew who she was. Spottedtail, the ThunderClan deputy whom she's helped kit, had said her name out loud just as she entered the nursery. It had scared her out of her fur, and she was reluctant to help find her errant kit when he vanished the next day. Lightningkit was found, but Dewstep always shied away from Spottedtail's gaze now.
Walking through the thorny barrier, she entered the camp and laid the thrush down on the fresh-kill pile. Cloverleaf nodded to her as she passed. "Nice catch, Doe. You're fitting in well." If only you knew, Dewstep thought despairingly. She missed Mallowpaw, she missed the reeds, and she missed RiverClan. She knew she could never truly fit into ThunderClan, but how could she leave now?
Whitesun
~~
"Whitesun! Get your head out of the clouds and onto the moor!" Whitesun was jerked out of his thoughts by the harsh order, and turned to face Rabbitbush, who was staring at him in annoyance. He shook his head and continued on with the patrol. Mintnose fell into step with him, her pale green eyes glinting with worry.
“Is everything okay?” she asked.Whitesun opened his mouth to reply, then closed it with a snap. Pointedly turning away from her, he trotted on ahead, ignoring the hurt look in her eyes. Sniffing the borders with ThunderClan, Whitesun’s mind wandered back to the prophecy a moon before. Ravenpaw, Owlpaw, Sunfoot, Breezesong, and him were to save the Clans from the danger that had been treading on their borders. As he checked the scents nearest to the stream, his sharp nose caught a strange scent, hidden behind the thick layers of ThunderClan scent. It smelled of splashing water, whistling reeds, and scaly fish. RiverClan? Is there a RiverClan cat trespassing on ThunderClan territory? But it couldn’t just be a trespasser, because it seemed like a RiverClan cat covered in ThunderClan scent. But it couldn’t be… hmm. Perhaps he’d figure it out at the Gathering tonight.
