Percy Jackson RP!

Percy Jackson RP!

Percy Jackson RP!
I haven't seen one of these for a while, so I decided to make one.
In this RP, the satyrs have gone missing, so the gods themselves must help the demigods on their way to Camp Half-Blood. However, the gods can't help them directly. So instead, they put all the demigods in the same school, and left a copy of a Percy Jackson book, in hopes that they would come together and realize who they were.
The charrie sheet:
Name:
Age:
Immortal parent:
Any powers/ talents (You can have either 5 small talents, 2 big talents, or 1 talent and 1 power):

Here's mine!
Name: Kalinda Patel (Indian)
Age: 13
Immortal parent: Hecate
Any powers/ talents (You can have either 5 small talents, 2 big talents, or 1 talent and 1 power): She has one talent and one power. Her talent is drawing, and her power is magic.
Appearance: Dark skin, and long, wavy brown hair. Brown-black eyes.
Personality: Very outgoing. She has a lot of friends, and is extremely nice. However, she is also show-offy.
Favorite weapon: Dagger
Background/Other: None

And here's another one!
Name: Sakura Kita (Japanese) (Last name means "north", first name means "cherry blossom")
Age: 12
Immortal parent: Apollo
Any powers/ talents (You can have either 5 small talents, 2 big talents, or 1 talent and 1 power): She has 2 big talents. She is extremely good at writing poetry and has won quite a few singing contests.
Appearance: Short, with straight black hair usually pulled up into pigtails. Her eyes are angled upwards (Unlike my own).
Personality: Very secretive. She doesn't want to be judged by her family. She's also a sad girl. And she does NOT trust anyone.
Favorite weapon: Sword
Background/Other: Her great-grandfather was a general in World War II, and she obviously keeps that secret. Her aunt also died from leukemia, because of an atomic bomb.
It would be cool if someone made a Chinese charrie, one who was killed by her great-grandfather! The conflict would be fun to write about. (Many Chinese were killed in World War II, but we only learn about the Western deaths in school.)

Wait, no...

I still want to be a part of this. My charrie is still a regular at Camp Half-Blood, but I'm going to change everything about her.

Name: Ellis Montgomery

Age: 12

Immortal parent: Nemesis

Any powers/talents: Talents: She can ride a motorcyle and is a great dancer

Appearance: Tall, chin-length thin black hair and grey-green eyes

Personality: Short temper, agressive, talks a lot

Favorite weapon: Knife or kicking people in the face with ballet kicks (to be clear, it doesn't hurt, people just sort of stagger backwards

Background/other: Her father left her a Camp when she was three, she's stayed there ever since. She's Chiron's left-hand woman when it comes to recruiting people; he just attaches a hay cart to her motorcycle and expects the new demigods by dinner. Question: could that be how they get to Camp Half-Blood?

@Mei-xue- I'm learning how to play Sakura on my clarinet and I love it! Such a beautiful song!

Hope this charrie isn't too OP again...EmbarassedFrownCry

Russel says ywry. Wry is a word, but I don't get how that works in this context?

@ St. Owl:

Yeah, I used to use those. I wouldn't be too surprised, though, that I know them. Those books are really popular.

Cool! I'll start.

Ellis~

There are many new demigods coming. Chiron told me, and he's never wrong. He managed to pull a few strings, get help from the gods, and get them in the same school. Rick Riordan, who lives in the Big House now after his retirement, suggested to send in the Percy Jackson book series to let them all know who they really are.

I know their names by heart now: Jake, Alana, Arushi, Sakura, Chris, Halley, Julia, Jacinth, Helena, Justice, Ianthe, Kyanite, and Peter. You never forget the names of the people who might be your last hope.

Chiron yelled through the doorway, breaking my train of thought. "Ellis, attach the hay cart to your motorcycle right now. I'm pretty sure that a band of monsters are planning to attack them tomorrow, so you'd better leave to get them at dawn. Load ambrosia, nectar, weapons, food, and water in your purse. I'll expect you back by sundown tomorrow."

I did what Chiron said, also loading crates of strawberries into the hay cart to make it look like I'm delivering strawberries... on a motorcycle? Hopefully one of the new demigods can manipulate the mist.

Once the cart is ready, I return to the Nemesis cabin, falling asleep with my red and black motorcycle helmet tucked under my arm, boasting my name proudly: Ellis.

~Arushi~
I sit on my bed, back at home. Questions buzz in my head. Do our parents know? Should we tell them? And, most importantly, how do we get to Camp Half-Blood?
I reach out for my phone. Yes, I am a hypocrite. But this is important.
I dial Sakura's number and call her first.
"Hello? It's Arushi here. I just thought if something."
"Yes?" She replies. She sounds impatient, like her mind is elsewhere. In fact, I did see her talking with Ianthe…And they looked serious. Maybe they were arguing?
"Do our parents even know? Do you think we should go ask them about it? And if they don't know, tell them?"
There was a pause. "Yes."
"Okay! I'll go do it now. And I'll call the others, to tell them."
"Yep." Sakura really doesn't sound like herself. "Yeah, I'll do that."
There was a click, then she hung up.

Starting a brand-new day here... also, can they  live on the Rhode Island side of NY, if that's okay? All of them living right near Camp Halfblood would be kind of...obvious, right?

Jacinth~

When I wake up, I stumble around my room, muttering and running my hands through my think brown hair.

"Jacinth!" Dad calls from downstairs. How does he get up so early? I run a brush through my hair and look longingly back at my bed. I really didn't sleep well last night, having so much to dwell on from the past day.

"Coming!" I call, tripping down the stairs. After struggling to open our heavy freezer door, I grab some bacon and stick it in the oven.

"Bacon?" my dad asks from the kitchen table where he is fussing with our coffee machine. I nod, and Dad smiles. He can live off of bacon. I notice that there are fresh flowers in a vase on the table. My eyes move to the corner by the door. Yes, Dad's boots are wet with early morning mud. He loves flowers. Checking the time, I grumble to myself. I've always gotten up at the crack of dawn so that I can make myself breakfast before school. Over time, I have become a wiz at whipping up quick, hot meals while bouncing around the kitchen (and into the sharp corners of the cabinets). However, it looks like I might be late to school this morning. As I crack an egg for Dad, I say:

"Got to go. I'm going to be late." Dad nods, and hits a button on the coffee machine. It makes a gurgling noise, but doesn't spit out any bitter brown liquid. He sighs. Neither of us are good with gadgets. The oven beeps, and I grab two hot bacon slices right out off the pan. Quickly, I sling my book-bag over my shoulder and stick an apple in it.

"Bye!" I call, slipping out the door.

Within minutes, I peddle my bike up to the school, preparing for another day. Maybe it will be a normal day.

Ellis~~

My motorcycle and the Camp Half-Blood hay cart rumble along the street in the suburbs. I got here without a hitch (granted, I did get a few strange looks from pedestrians) but where is here? Chiron told me they went to this random school, but ug! So boring!

I ride up to the front doors of the building and park my motorcycle. Does it look like a truck or something normal? I sure hope so. Two girls walk past me, holding hands, chatting and smiling. When they see me, they both narrow their eyes and hiss in unison, forked tounges slithering in and out of their mouths.

Wait. What?

I do a double take and realize that these two girls are really monsters! And that pack of rowdy boys a few yards away... monsters. And those kids leaning on the wall....

Monsters. All of them.

Chiron was right. The monsters are assembling. And they're ready to attack.

I finger my bronze knife, watching the monsters enter the building.

I hope none of the monsters blows up my motorcycle while I'm saving the new recruits' lives.

(I'm trying to write and watch Sherlock at the same time so if this writing is terrible I'm sorry.)

Alana~

The next day at school is super weird. All of us supposed demigods are tense, braced for another monster attack.

It came.

The Percy Jackson book said that once you realize that you're a demigod, your scent gets stronger and the monsters can find you more easily. I guess that, combined with the fact that there's so many of us, all but put big targets on our backs for the monsters to find. I guess we smelled good.

While we were eating lunch, some emposai (I probably spelled that completely wrong oh well) thought they would attack us. We were eating outside, as it was a nice day and the school year was almost over. We weren't any more prepared for a monster attack than we were the last time, but at least we knew why it was attacking us.

I was snacking on some chips when I glanced to the side, and they seemed to appear out of thin air. They looked ordinary, like the typical popular-girl cheerleaders. I only knew they were different when they snarled, showing their fangs. My heart dropped down to my feet.

"Jake," I whispered shakily, tapping the boy sitting next to me.

"What is it?" he answered, his mouth full of sandwich.

"A-are those... the emposai we read about?" I muttered, pointing toward the cheerleaders. Jake glanced in their direction.

"They certainly don't look like normal cheerleaders," he squeaked, his face pale and his eyes wide. I scanned the grounds, trying to see if any of the others had seen them. Jacinth was staring at the cheerleaders, obviously scared. I guess she had seen them too.

Thankfully, there were only two emposai. I grabbed the first weapon I could find, a somewhat pointy stick off the ground, and ran at the cheerleaders. Jake took the hint and did the same, grabbing one of his textbooks. He must be planning to whack it over the head and knock it out. That's really the only thing we can do.

Before I can think about what I'm doing, I tackle the first cheerleader and hit it as hard as I can on the head with my stick. It passes out and almost immediately dissolves into dust. Only one to go. Right before my eyes, Ianthe rushes up and kicks over the emposai, freeing it up for Jake to knock out. I breathe a sigh of relief. Unfortunately, Mrs. Parks walks outside at that very moment. With the Mist clouding her vision, probably all she saw was us whacking the ground with sticks and textbooks.

She orders, "All of you. Inside. Now." Ianthe, Jacinth, Jake, and I all walk dejectedly inside.

"We have to find Camp Half Blood," Jake sighs.

~~~
So, sorry if that was too long, it was just the only thing I could think of to write. =)
Awesome idea, but I think the empousi were defeated too easily. I mean, they were tough for Percy Jackson to kill with a sword.
Helena~
"Dad?"
Justice said no. I'm not sure why, she just blushed and got all frantic and bossy. I never listen to Justice when she gets frantic and bossy, and she knows that. So maybe she wants to find out, too.
"Who's mom?"
I don't know what I was expecting. For him to jump out of his chair and scream? Maybe drop the coffee cup he's drinking out of? But he just sighs. "Oh, Helena, I've told you. Her name was Luise Vanderplact and she was a lovely woman. She died giving birth to you."
"No she wasn't," I say bluntly, slapping my book on the table. "Mom was a god, right? Which one?"
He looks at the book, and back up at me. Then he opens it.
And laughs. "Helena, this is sweet. But it's called fiction. I'm sorry, your mother was simply mortal."
"No she wasn't!" I shout, getting a little angry now. "A minotaur attacked us today! Does that make us mortal?"
Slowly, he stands. "A what?"
"A Minotaur. Theseus killed it, but it attacked us and a bunch of other people after school today. Justice went to see them, but I stayed here."
He groans and puts his head in his hands. "Helena, why don't you sit down?"
Of course I'm not going to sit down. In fact, I concentrate better when I'm running around a room in circles.
"Your mother was Hecate." He laughs, suddenly. "Isn't that something? Your mother was Hecate. Not something you think you'd ever say!" He's really laughing now. Is he having a seizure? Should I call the police? "She left very often but she always came back until she had you. Then she gave me a bunch of instructions and left. And now you've read a book and figured it out! From a book!" He laughs some more. "Helena, go to bed tonight. But keep your eyes peeled tomorrow. And do me a favor, okay? Keep out of trouble, avoid anything your sister tells you to avoid, and stay away from fire."
"But in science--"
"Listen, it's right about dinnertime anyway. If your sister's out, we'll just eat without her."
End of discussion.
