I'm posting a part of my book so you guys have something interesting to read.

Here it is, the prologue to the first book in the series I'm writing. 

 

The girl watched as the city burned, and she knew her time had come to go. So she ran, ran to the fields of grain that separated the city that had once belonged to her people from the wilderness, until she came to a rock. It was a rather nice rock, as rocks go. It was craggy and rough in some places, and mostly covered in moss. But, she wasn't the only one here. A boy was here too. 

"Hello Jon. I believe you know what has happened."
"Of course I do Rory."
"Then you also know what it means?" Asked the girl
"Yes."
"Then we are in agreement?"
"Yes."
"Wonderful. I will contact you if something happens." 
And with that, the boy jumped into the air, and before the girls eyes he changed. By the time he had hit the ground, he was a wolf. 
And as he walked into the distance, disappearing into the fields of grain, the girl left too. She too jumped into the air, but instead of changing shape-
She flew.
