I hereby declare this a democracy, because this is no longer the Longest Thread on the CB by quite a lot.

Who votes that we have a vote on what to do next? (Such as a roleplay, a pie fight, an ACG, etc)

The CBette stared at the former Longest Thread Ever. It was once surrounded by a shroud of light and glory. Now it had sunk into the deep. She could barely see all the activities and poems that had once filled it's glorious halls.

She took a deep breath and scrunched her face up, trying to look as inspirational as possible. She glanced in the mirror, realized she looked like a scribbly, horribly-drawn cartoon character, and sighed.

She took a deep breath and stood on her tiptoes.

"LISTEN UP!"

"This thread is old. This thread is falling into the deep. Nobody pays attention to it." She took a deep breath and shined her flashlight onto the ART THREAD. "Look at this!" She yelled. "Look at the beauty, the creativity, the determination, everything amazing that it used to become the longest thread."

"Did you hear me? I said the. Longest. Thread." She called out boldly into the darkness, still indicating the Art Thread. "This was created to be something beautiful, to be something great. This was supposed to be filled with creativity!"

"But where did our determination go? Why are we falling behind, when we've filled other threads with our creativity and light? Why did this happen? Why aren't we trying to preserve something so beautiful?"

The CBette dropped her flashlight. "I'm sorry if this was rude. I'm sorry I yelled. But I feel so upset that we've forgotten this thread. This used to be popular. We used to love this place."

"What happened?" 

"What happened?"

The question echoed through the dark chamber.

A creeping darkness descended, and a voice as sharp as splinters pierced the night.

"A very good question, my friend. And one that will awaken old memories. Let us begin.

"Long ago, this thread was new. New threads blossom and bloom in the light, only to grow old, and be consumed by the dark. As on many new threads, people posted. Sometimes the posts had meaning, other times a simple 'Top!'.

"I was here for the beginning of this thread, as I am very, very old. The light of this thread was shining and new, however, it began to... I shall I put it? As yes, fade. The light began to fade. The light will always fade, no matter what. Even the light of eternity. As the light began to fade, people began to ignore it. They stopped posting. In every single thread, there's always that one last post. The last post for this thread could be this very post! Eventually, the thread began to die. It began to be pushed back, further and further, into the darkest reaches of the CB. All threads die. Unless there's one person, occasionally more. A person who goes back, reads the old memories of those long gone. That person is you. 

"So now it's just you and me, my friend." 

"What happened?"

But. We can fix that. *Unsheathes sword* But only if those few people are willing. *Waggles eyebrows menacingly*

Unless, of course, some more cool-headed Cbers decide that this Thread has had its time, and shall rest in Peace. Or Pie. Whichever works. =P

WOW this Thread is literally THREE YEARS OLD. Isn't it interesting how long it has survived without anyone tending to it? Weeell, except for those brave Cbers who ventured into the depths of the last pages of Chatterbox. I mean, we could re-name this Thread as the Oldest Thread Right Now.
