A
Q: What exactly is 'The Author Pairs Movement'
A: 'The Author Pairs Movement' otherwise known as the TAPM is a place where authors to come and look for an other similiar to them in level and genre and pair up with them to write a poem, song, short story, chapter story, etc.
Q: So...how are they paired up with their match?
A: Well first the TAPM managers view the forms that authors have filled out, and judging by the quality of the sample story (poem, song, etc) and the type of genre they like, the TAPM managers will pair them up with someone who is on the same level and likes the same genre.
Q: So, in the forms, do you have to give out any real information..like last name, address, email...you know, stuff you could track me down with?
A: Nope! You just have to give out your name (first name only) or your nickname, a sample story (song, poem, etc.), and likes and dislikes!

Name: Brynne
Sample:
Wind whispers
Around the corners of the cabin
Seeping through the
Chinks in the wall
Coyote sings a lonely song
At the moon
Bedtime
In the Little House on the Prairie
Okay, that was really just out of the blue, composed in under three minutes, so it's not even close to some of my best work.
Sad and nature, it's a tie.

SPLASH!
To the river we go,
in our rusty old green truck,
on a worn out dirt road.
Unpacking the kayaks,
and floating away.
Each stroke gentle
yet
strong,
as they propel me along.
The water is crystal clear
and I want to dive in.
But, I wait
and keep my eyes out
for: the rope swing.
Once I spot it
I paddle over
telling the others to come.
I drag my kayak
onto the grass
and climb onto the scratchy rope-
careful not to slip and fall in.
I swing over the river,
and it feels like I'm flying.
I hang suspending in the air
at the peak.
Then: I let go
and break through the flat surface
of the cool refreshing water.
SPLASH!

Poem:
Type: I DON'T KNOW! l:
Night Hawk
Soar, swoop, dive!
I fly through the endless night
I search the ground looking for prey,
I find it and add one more...
Soar, swoop, dive, and...kill!
Ok, so not as great as many others, but I did what I could.
(March 14, 2009 - 6:23 pm)
Sorry, it is really short.
(March 14, 2009 - 6:25 pm)
Nitehawlk and Lena are together writing an abstract poem.
I'm going to ask you the same question as I asked Bellatrix and the others. Please read the post in here I made for them!

GREAT RHYTHYM!!!!!!!!!
(March 15, 2009 - 6:42 pm)
BellaTrix and TNO are working together on a chapter story.
Brynne and Zoe are working together on a nature poem.
-------------------
Okay, now, this is completely optional, but I was wondering if you guys would like to enter your story and poem in a contest against each other? [And against the other people if someone else enters!]
It would be part of the TAPM...so I would be running it...you would be judged on teamwork, and the quality of the story!
[Also, Admin, would it be okay if I made a little section in Inkwell so that the contestants would be able to work together, and other people could comment on their work, without them crowding up the main post of the TAPM?]
GloWorm, that sounds OK, but what is TAPM?

(March 15, 2009 - 12:03 am)
Right, you're NOT supposed to say that. Because it just isn't true! :)
(March 15, 2009 - 7:23 am)
