ok, I know I already have the stuffed animal improv over in Inkwell... but here's another stuffie thread! Bc Blackfooted Bobcat has literally gotten me and my mom obsessed with Jellycats (wHy aRe tHey sO eXpEnSiVe) and it'd be cool to see who else is too/if anyone has any (I got 3 in the span of 2 months! Yay! Still can't quite believe it! And they each have stories behind them if you want to hear :) )...
bc I still feel bad for not spending as much time with all my way too many stuffies than usual (I used to sleep with a different one each night so none of them felt left out... oh, those happy (g)olden days of yorn!)...
and literally just bc. Who knows if anyone's even gonna reply to this thread. :) So. Stories about your stuffies, introducing your stuffies, pictures of stuffies in funny poses, fun facts, really anything stuffed animal/Jellycat related (I mean seriously stop looking at me like that Sea Turtle Love that's your name ok and it's final no I am not calling you "Jolene" even though that's what it says on your name tag your name I declare is Sea Turtle Love and end of conversation!)!

When I was a small child I had a Jellycat who according to the internet is called Cordy Roy Cat (we just called him Jellycat; it was the word on his tag). As far as I know he still lives in this house (unless we donated him, in which case I am sad) but idk where he is :/
I used to like to hold his tail against a doorknob and pretend he could fly. I would call him Super Jellycat or something. I liked to hug him too. I miss Jellycat :( I gotta go find my kitten hero

I used to have a giant bear and I called him Beary (the most creative name, yes I know). When I was little I also wouldn't go anywhere without my Piggy and Blankie, (a pig and a blanket, how'd you guess) so they have been across the country many times and even to Europe! And of course I can't even think of getting rid of them.

btw, though, Jellycats are so expensive because they're really high quality. I've heard they don't rip as much, and plus the fabrics are really nice and the eyes don't bust as easily (on most of my other stuffies, the eyes get really busted up) and the noses are fabric so they don't bust. Also the sewing is really nice - for instance, the stripes are always matched up really well, and each stuffie has a slightly different expression. they're still really expensive though *shudders* (I've read that they also somewhat prioritize ethical business standards particularly as far as working conditions go, but I have not researched that enough to verify that they're actually doing a good job)
Anyway I just washed two of my stuffies, Junpei and Cloudinia. Junpei is an old bring everywhere stuffie, and he's some sort of Douglas cat and relatively big. I don't know what kind of stuffie Cloudinia is but they're a relatively small cheetah. I washed them by hand because i didn't want them to get messed up like they do by machine washing. I can post how to do that if you're interested.
@Celine, I'm fine with BB; i have no attachment to this name anymore in general (i chose it in my wildcat obsession phase XD) so it really doesn't matter. For the record, ve/vim/vis/vimself would usually be used like "ve said to vimself that vis book is gone" with vis instead of ve's :D just letting you know, it's perfectly fine. also my stuffies have a bunch of neos XD I'm way too excited that you used to dance ballet!!!! I love ballet so much. Lately I've been watching Coppelia a bunch. What ballets are your favorites?

ok so basically the first jellycat I ever saw that made me fall in love with them all a few months ago was the rose dragon. But seriously it's like $120 how is that possible?? BUT THEN we went to Tai Wan and this bookstore named Eslite was closing - btw it was a really sad and sentimental event cuz that bookstore's been there for years and there was a humongous crowd outside that came to pay their respects to Eslite and put post-it notes up on the wall thanking it for all its years, plus Tai Bei 101 had a message scroll on it that said "thank you Eslite" and stuff; really such a wonderful thing by itself - and we'd been there years ago and loved it so we went back on the closing night (like literally, when it closed forever :( ) and we just walked in and then I was like, "JELLYCAT!!"! And there was the Rose dragon, just sitting there! And I literally couldn't find it in any of the other stores we went to (though I doubt we would've gotten it anyway, literally so expensive), and then here it was halfway around the world in a bookstore in Tai Wan!! And guess how much it was?
ok so basically since it was closing night, there were MAJOR discounts everywhere. We're talking, like, ginormous hydroflasks for 85% off. So this dragon that's supposed to be $120 was only $20!!
Um so yeah we got the dragon, my 3rd jellycat!! I'm still trying to decide on a name... maybe Saffron?? Saffron Rose? Rose Saffron? Something related to Tai Wan/Eslite?? But yeah they're seriously amazing, my whole family loves them too. And they're seriously (yes, again) the perfect size to carry around and snuggle with!! My mom offered me her baby carrier so I can just carry them around with me XD. But everyone loves stroking their fur (well, except for one of my friends, who preferred Gian Furlough Acorn Harlowe, who is honestly also pretty much the perfect size (I just walk around with vim (?) in the crook of my elbow, sorta like a baby but not haha), as is Mer, and ALL of my stuffies. I love them sm) and cuddling with them and have more than once STOLE THEM FROM ME (my friend and my DAD can you believe it? And my brother TRIED but ha he didn't succeed :) ). So I kinda have to hide them in my room: they're too popular. Like a celebrity and paparazzi XD.
um yeah I would type more but also want to go outdoors for a walk while I still have some free time bc Happy Take a Walk Outdoors Day! :D
but also ooh I've been wanting to watch sleeping beauty!! Is it good?

Oh the Rose Dragon is so pretty!!! I'll write more late (like about The Sleeping Beauty especially) but if you want name help I’ve got some suggestions. there are lots of “variations” of rose. There’s also a few noun names. If you want more or want some on a specific subject I’ll do my best! Let me know about the dragon's likes and personality if you want that. I really enjoy this sort of thing :D Also I think you just posted and idk if it’s the post with the name or a new one but there are these anyway. i think the formatting is weird but i can't fix it sorry.

Hi! Sorry it took so long to respond, but tysm for all the names!! I loved them all (especially Cassia), but we went through with my dragon and it was a hard decision XD but I think we're actually gonna go with one not on the list because you got me thinking about flowers and I want to incorporate Tai Wan somehow and I think that we're gonna go with hua! So tysm, really!! :DD

i'm turning 14, and i walk my neighbors dog for very good pay. it's actually crazy how generous she is.
must. buy. jellycats.
*cough* actually, it would be wiser to get rid of some other stuffed animals first. i have way too many... XD
aside from that, my favourite stuffed animal i've ever gotten is a stuffed obi bear from japan that my dad got for me when i was 2. that's 12 YEARS AGO. wow. she has fur falling off of her, her tail is almost gone (my dog decided to EAT IT), and she's missing a bow and her kimono...but she's the most precious thing ever to me.
and another stuffed animal that i have is one that my mom's brother gave to her when she's 12. it's very well taken care of, and she gave it to me on valentine's day a couple years ago! his name is mr. wrinkles, and he's a brown charpei (i think that's how you spell it?) that wears overalls and a striped yellow-and-black shirt underneath. i sleep with him and obi almost every night (although i'm more in my wrinkles era--obi is sitting on my hamper :<). another thing about mr wrinkles is that he's not just a stuffed animal--he's also a hand puppet! i have to draw a picture of him for you guys--and obi, too. :) <3
