HI HAWKSTAR!!! Look at this, I am being so productive and responsive >:D this productiveness soon to fall when I start actually prioritizing homework over CB like I should be doing... I have two assignments I was supposed to finish over the weekend that I still haven't done yet, but that's okay...

Also, so you know how I said I already cleaned my room? Well, my mom came in and she was like, but what is this pile of papers on the floor?? and so... I guess I didn't actually fully clean my room. But in my defense! ...wait, no, I don't have defense for that. I literally looked at the pile of papers when I was cleaning and thought: eh, I don't have to clean that. So I am actually cleaning my room today. Again. *sigh* And then my room will be clean! But then my room will inevitably get dirty again and I'll inevitably have to clean it again. And then it'll be clean! And then it'll get dirty again and I'll have to clean it again... I don't really mind it right now, though, because turns out I have a lot of old writing/drawings that I thought I'd lost in that pile lol. So, room cleaning is all right! And wow, I applaud you for cleaning your room and being proactive and stuff (hm, proactive. Which reminds me that I should also be being more active...)!

ALSO ALSO ALSO!!! Maureen Goo?! I met her once at an author event!! She was pretty nice :)) I don't remember Somewhere Only We Know... I'll try to see if I can find the books! Thanks for the recommendations :)) And haha I love the title of "Ex Marks the Spot"!

Ahh I love fluffy snow!! But wow, yeah, sounds cold. It's pretty cold around here too (I mean, duh, it's winter...), and yes, we do get snow in my area, but not as much. And yeah, I think we're so lucky to have seen snow and everything... it's pretty magical :)

Haha, thank you (for the reading groove)! And hm, I find that music doesn't help me focus (because then I feel compelled to belt along to all the songs lol), but that's interesting that it helps you read with it on! And that's amazing that you read every night... I used to, but now I'm so busy that I read more like once every few days. What's interesting though is that a lot of people can't focus when it's loud, but if it's a lot of clamor and talking (and not one single, focused sound, like my brother talking with his friends or someone singing) then I actually feel really comfortable reading in the middle of that. Like, it all just becomes background noise that I can sink into! Does that happen for you?

And yes, wait that's a great idea!! We already have a list picked out, and we actually do have a romance on there (because I was like, well, I want to read a broad range of genres and so let's put at least one romance in). So, there's Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar, which, if you finish it I would love to talk about that one because I have lots to say on that one haha, and also Starfish by Lisa Fipps, When Stars Are Scattered, The Magician's Nephew (book 1 of the Chronicles of Narnia!!!) and The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (young reader's edition)!! Lunar New Year is AMAZING!!! Basically all Chinese holidays are awesome because they come with their own traditional foods, so then on those days my family is like, you HAVE to eat all this great food, and I'm like, yesss!! And also each year is a different animal and element, of course, and it's so fun to see all the different designs of that year's animal pop up! This upcoming year is the year of the wood snake, which according to the Internet, symbolizes wisdom, growth, and renewal (like how a snake sheds its skin to grow). I forgot, have you had Chinese food before, and if so, what's your favorite food from Chinese cuisine? Honestly, I love all food, but Chinese cuisine (or really Asian cuisine in general) seems to just fill your belly with warmth <33 Although, pasta and other dishes do that, too. I actually love pasta, too :D do you have a favorite pasta?

But also, why does Lunar New Year seem more logical to you? Like, following the moon's phases? Just wondering, because I've never thought about that before :)

And yes, getting a job! Honestly, I don't understand how you're expected to finish homework if you get a job, but it sounds cool! What's your dream job (or just what job would you want to get if you're still a student and stuff)? I would want to work in a bookstore or something... actually, once, I was just hanging out at a bookstore and this mom(?) came in trying to find a book for her kid or something, and the person who worked at the bookstore was trying to help her, but I overheard the conversation and actually was able to help the mom find a gift (they both didn't know that there were sequels/companions to Greenglass House---and actually, I only knew that through reading the Cricket magazine Letterbox!)! If I could do that as my job... :0 I mean, that'd be amazing. I would probably overwhelm everyone who walked in with book recommendations, though ;)

And I meant that I've talked to you when you were 14, although I wasn't on the CB yet the day you actually turned 14 :) it's a bit crazy though!
