Just saw an episode of The Monkees w/my sister. Kinda hard to discern what they were saying for most of it, and I'm still confused abt that bit at the end with them running around the wood scaffolding things but the tiny little dogs were cute when the song "I want to buy me a dog" was playing. My sister is somewhat obsessed w/the Monkees rn. Like, there's this one blue double-breasted shirt they wear at one point. She sewed her own. And she's been dressing up as all 4 of them just like how I dress up as my characters. And she's been playing the music non-stop.

Don't get me wrong, I like The Monkees, just the same 50 songs on repeat is a little annoying when she doesn't use headphones and it's not what I'm interested in. To be fair, I am playing the same 22 songs on repeat constantly (all 17 finished/out songs from Epic, plus some that are cut [My Light], and some that aren't out yet [Monster, God Games, Dangerous, Legendary]. Well, I'm not just listening to those, I also finally found some good CHB-vibe playlists so there's 2 or 3 of those that I listen to [mostly just one, though]. But that's beside the point. What was the point again? Idk.) 

anyways Epic. I love it so much. Literally, my BFF Lux (yes, the one who will join the CB soon hopefully. she was gonna before but there were some things that got in the way) and I danced to My Light for the middle school talent show on Thursday. People probably think we're dating now... ALSO there's that one line in The Horse And The Infant that goes like "Neo, avenge your father, kill the brothers of Hector", right? Well after reading The Song of Achilles (which I'm obsesed with; before even finishing the book I memorized their dialogue in the scene w/the "Name one hero who was happy" line. If anyone else has read it and wants to fangirl over it w/me, I'd gladly do so.), I've figured out who that guy is. And I hate him. Freakin' Pyrrhus. Son of Achilles. Hate him so much. I mean, like, ya don't have to not let Pat go to the Underworld by not letting them fulfill Achilles' wish of being buried w/Pat! And ya don't have to go and kill one of my fav characters in that book just 'cause she said she wasn't Achilles' bed slave and doesn't want to be yours! And ya don't have to go kill that guy! Or that other guy! And why are you doing all this at age THIRTEEN?! I also rly wanna hate Apollo, but he's like, my godly parent, so it's hard. But I still do hate Agamemnon (of whom I've taken to calling "Aggie" b/c it's easier also it's rly funny to me) and Paris. But Odysseus and Briseis? Love those guys. 

Oooh! I went to the library today to get out 3 books: CHB confidential, Hotel Valhalla guide to the norse worlds, Camp Jupiter classified (all three of those by Rick Riordan) and Circe (by Madeline Miller, same author as TSOA). I got all but the CJ one. Plus two others: The Iliad (translated by Robert Fagles) and the Odyssey (translated by Richmond Lattimore). Also have on hold dif translations of those two (translated by someone w/the last name of Wilson? I forget exactly). But I'm so excitedddddddd. CHB Confidential is so goood so far! Nico sings a parody of Hokey Pokey abt the magical barrier around CHB! AND THERE'S SOLANGELO. AAAAAAA- Okay question: so the dragon that guards Thalia's tree at CHB it named Peleus, right? And isn't Achilles's dad named Peleus? Does anyone know if there's a connection? Also, according to Wikipedia, the feast in honor of Peleus and Thetis (which is a horrible story btw) went exactly how it goes in Sleeping Beauty. Someone (Eris, in this case) was forgotten, so that person decides to cause discord and whatever. 

Anyways this is getting rly long and rambly and it's late sorta but I've missed y'all so much you don't even know and I was so happy to see that the CB was back (just ask Lux), I was literally shaking. and yeah y'all are spindiddly, thx for reading this, so happy to be back, good night. I just saw my school's musical and they were in ensemble and even though it was a really small part they are SO TALENTED ITS AMAZINGGGG! they were so passionate about it and were genuinely have such a wonderful time I can't even express how much I love them omggggg <3333
