Random Thoughts/Things?
I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Chaki says auice! I wonder if e realises that e doesn't need to go into a AU to find plenty of ice?
Now e says ceeek! I can't see what your talking about, but I approve of the spook factor!

Does anyone have any music recs in other languages?
(February 1, 2023 - 7:50 pm)
Yes, actually! I know a bunch of good French songs. I only really know the first two albums, but they're really good. My favorite song is actually by Kids United (that's the group I'm talking about). It's called Destin. But the first song I heard by them if L'Oiseax et L'Enfant (the music video is really cool).
Oh, and another good French song is Les Champs-Elysees by Joe Dassin

YES YES YES I DO~
*Bows dramatically* In Spanish, now, we have:
-Sonora Querida, by Los Cenzontles (two Mexican women singers who have beautiful voices)
-El hijo desobediente, by Trio Calaveras (not sure whether this will be easy to find, but it's really beautiful to listen to)
-Adagio en mi pais, by Alfredo Zitarrosa
-Mi
abuelo, by Amparo Ochoa - for some reason I love listening to this one,
because Amparo Ochoa has a lovely voice and the song is really rich and
moving.
-Bola suriana de la muerte de Emiliano Zapata, by Amparo Ochoa - same as above.
In Greek:
-Eleni, by Kostas Mantzios - it's really rhythmic and beautiful, almost like waves in the ocean on a summer's day.
-Ragizi Apopse, by Children of the Revolution - sort of mysterious and haunting, and energizing too.
In Portuguese:
-Desfado, by Ana Moura
In Gaelic:
-Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, by Julia Fowlis
And lastly, we have Behet Ghol Midam by Mohsen Yeganeh, which I simply love, both the music and the lyrics are gorgeous (the video of it online has the lyrics in English). I'm not sure what language it's in, maybe Farsi?
I hope you like some of these! I love all of them :)

ahhhhhh you know of songs in gaelic? I'm gonna check those out RIGHT NOW OMG. is it irish or scottish gaelic?
on a related note, i was looking into high school study abroad programs in Ireland (or Japan) for a few years from now, and they were SO COOL
but
the price
all of the options were like sixteen thousand dollars
i know i can't make that type of money, and my parents won't even pay for a $300 school trip to dc
darn

I love songs in Gaelic! I don't actually know if the one I mentioned is in Irish or Scottish Gaelic, it may be in Irish Gaelic, but I'm not sure... :/ I know nothing at all about Gaelic, sadly. A couple of other songs in that language that I like are Ta Se Na La and Cowboi, both beautiful.
Oh gosh a study abroad program in Ireland would be amazing!! but $16000????? *gasp*
whyyyy isn't everything education-related freeeee
or at least inexpensiiive
Oh well, here's hoping you can go to Ireland or Japan someday!! *hopeful face*

ooh i love Ta Se Na La it's so pretty! i really want to learn irish but it's hard because i'm never around anyone who speaks it and i find the pronunciations kind of difficult.
(semi-related rant: like no one in my school believes that irish is a language? seriously it only takes a quick google search to confirm that it is indeed a language. but no they insist on telling me i'm wrong awsdcfvgbh this why i want to go to high school so badly--)

I'd recommend looking for possible scholarships if you're worried about the cost (if worst comes to pass student loans might have to do though :/).
Also since y'all seem so enthusiastic about Gaelic, here's some more! (lol I tried to post this yestersay and after I finished my list the page decided to randomly reload so I lost it all and didn't feel like retyping it sorry-)
O Cad é Sin Don te Sin - Caladh Nua
Ni Na la - Órla Fallon
Dúlamán
Siúil a Rúin (partially in English) - Clannad
Casadh an tSúgáin - The Gloaming
Dh'éirich mi moch madainn cheóthar - Julie Fowlis
I got a bunch more, so if y'all enjoy these just let me know and I'd be happy to share some more of my culture! :)
(PS I just went to our school's Chinese festival and can someone please teach me how to play the Guzheng and/or Danbo(? or at least I think that's what it's called, but I can't remember perfectly. I remember it had only one string, and was mainly played by moving an antenna-thingie) they all sounded/looked amazinggggggg and OML it was just so gooodddddd)
