I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Anyone know why one of these chat places are called Pudding's Place.
Pudding is the name of the firefly friend of Cricket who is especially interested in theater and the arts. I don't know the reason for the name Pudding.

Why, oh why do they let us read poetry, discuss poetry, gawk over every beautiful line... But not have us write any at all?

Sooo, I've decided individual work time in speech/lit. class a waste of my short time on this earth. I can't concentrate, therefore I can't get anything accomplished. Speech outlines can go to- somewhere very bad- my hate cannot be expressed-
(I'm very close to declaring the entire class a huge waste of time hahaaa-like this close-)
And so, instead of making outlines that will get a less-than-ideal grade no matter what I do (our teacher grades like we've been giving speeches since we were fresh out of the womb, and not since half a month ago), I am writing short stories about criminals, kids named Billy who are later renamed Teddy and are no longer Billy, and sudden disappearances. I no longer feel as though I am wasting precious life-time.
Grades are arbitrary anyway.
(I do eventually get my outlines done and practice my speech, but hey, so do the kids who spend the class period playing Retro Bowl...and somehow never getting caught? Still confused on that)
