I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Ugh I just sat down to watch The Black Cauldron, not because I thought I would enjoy it, but because it's generally agreed to be the worst Disney movie ever and I wanted to see if I agreed with that.
Well, I couldn't get 4 minutes into it without shutting it off in disgust because the main character is a pig-headed JERK! His second scene is literally him beating up the farm animals he cares for, and they never did anything to him! His first scene is him wishing he could be a hero, which I guess is supposed to justify it, but he was actually abusing these poor, innocent animals! What kind of a hero is that? NOT COOL >:(
Then I turned on Tarzan, because my whole family really likes that movie and I'd never seen it. It's so much better! I only got part way through it, but the beginning at least is all about the human and animal world combining and collaborating, and how they're not that different. And yeah, Tarzan does kill a leopard, but the leopard in question killed his parents and attempted to kill him and his adopted family numerous times...so he really had no choice.
Tarzan endears himself to the viewer by appearing vulnerable, and feeling like he doesn't belong. He can be violent at times, but there is a whole other softer, sweeter side to him that actually makes him a believable character. Now I'm sure I'm not being fair to the other boy, but if the hero of your story fills the viewer with a passionate rage immediately, there's something wrong.
Anyway, that's it for my TED talk on character development. Disney really improved in the 15 year span between these films. Sorry for the long post, admins.

I mistyped my location by accidentally switching the u and i in the previous post, plus it also sounds like a Universe of dogs (Inu means dog in Japanese). I thought that was sort of funny!
