A lot of new CBers have joined recently, and what with my increased business in life and absence from CB (sadly), I haven't gotten a chance to know a lot of the new faces- some of the old faces too, even. And I really do! I really want to be able to connect with everyone on CB. So, here's a thead where you can tell me something about you that'd help bonds, with everyone in general. :)
Here's even a few questions you could answer! Not by any means a rigid format but rather a suggested prompt.
1. Who's in your family? What are they like?
2. What's your favorite hobby, or thing to do in your free time?
3. Favorite book? Author?
4.Tell me about the time when you met your best friend/someone you care about. :)

My answers (to help you get to know me!):
1. Who's in your family? What are they like?
I have my mom, my dad, one sister, and my dog, Dex. My mom is a manager at an insurance company, but she used to be an artist and designer for Hallmark card company. She's a really good painter and still does dog portraits commissions in her spare time. My dad is a mechanical engineer at Black and Veatch, and he got his Master's Degree just a year or two ago. He knows a lot about math and science and that's probably where I get mine from. :) My sister is younger than me, 9 years old. She's really into fashion, drawing, and designing, and she's actually pretty good at it. My dog's name is Dex, and he's a Catahoula Leopard Hound (look them up- adorable!). We got him in 2015--two years ago, can you believe it??--and he's totally crazy but we love him anyways. <3
2. What's your favorite hobby, or thing to do in your free time?
Either reading or drawing, or writing. I've been super in drawing lately, probably because I got back into the Warriors series in December, and I think I've massively improved from last year.
3. Favorite book? Author?
Oh shoot, my favorite book is from the Wereworld series, though I doubt anyone has read it. Booky 5 or 6, one of the two. My favorite author, though, is probably JK Rowling or Tui T. Sutherland! I love them both!
4.Tell me about the time when you met your best friend/someone you care about. :)
This is kind of a funny story! She came to my school in 3rd grade as she'd moved earlier that year, and when we first met- we absoltutely each other! I wouldn't talk to her and vice versa, and then in 5th grade, for some reason we just suddenly were okay. My group of friends kinda formed in that year, and she happened to be in it. I went over to her house a ton, and we eventually became really close!
5. What's your favorite food?
It's a combination I haven't heard often- angel hair/spaghetti noodle pasta, peas, diced ham (diced cubes, not slices), and Parmesan cheese on top of the whole thing. Maybe a little garlic, a spice, and then it's great.
6. Where do you live (country, area, etc. Nothing specific)?
I live in Kansas, USA. Totally boring, yeah? Except I'm in the Eastern half near major cities, so it's not that bad.

You already know me, CL, but this seems like a good way to get to know each other better, so here I go!
1. Who's in your family? What are they like?
I am the oldest of five children, and I have three sisters and a brother. My brother's the second youngest. They're all hyperactive, awesome little things. Dramatic at times, but awesome. Some of you guys know the second oldest as BunnyLoves on here. My parents are cool too, loving, and hard working. Parents, I suppose.
2. What's your favorite hobby, or thing to do in your free time?
I love video games (like Zeon), reading, poetry, and writing (like Quill). I also love acting, which is something I've gotten into - especially Shakespeare and Broadways *dies* Hamilton forever! I love all sorts of music, from broadways, rap, hip hop, classical, covers, alternative rock, 90's rock, indie rock, pop rock, and so much more. Yeah, I love my rock xD.
3. Favorite book? Author?
Never ask me this! I love the Harry Potter Series and The Diary of Anne Frank the most. Both are so different, so it's hard to choose. My favorite author is JK Rowling but I LOVE Edgar Alan Poe too. And Shakespeare. And... well, you get the idea. Romeo and Juliet 100%, The Raven, etc. Nevermore... Sorry, I just had to say that.
4.Tell me about the time when you met your best friend/someone you care about. :)
Uhh must I? Long story short, my best friend and I met January of 8th grade when he came to school. I thought he was too loud, too annoying, and a show off when I first met him. It stayed that way for a few months :D. But long story short, FFA (Future Farmers of America) brought us together in competitions, and we quickly became close friends. My second best friend and I met beginning of our Freshman year when he came to our school from a nearby town. I hated him at first for almost the entire year. He'd constantly scare me and it drove me insane. But around April or May I finally started warming up to the kid, and we became quick friends. My other newest, good friend and I met beginning of our Sophomore/Freshman year (he's a freshie, I'm a sophomore, but our grades are combined) when he moved over from middle of the US. I live on the Pacific side. Anyways, he's this shy, quiet kid who is obsessed with grammar. Instant friendship. I mean, once I broke out of my social anxiety shell two weeks after he came to even say hi. I mean, yeah... that's me. We're great friends though. And my other new friend is a foreign exchange student from Taiwan. We just became good friends right away, because we share similar hobbies such as gaming. So instant friendship there, too!
5. What's your favorite food?
Hmmm... Anything with cheese. And chocolate, but not too sweet. I have an extremely sensitive stomach and so I get sick really easily from even candy bars.
6. Where do you live (country, area, etc. Nothing specific)?
The Pacific Northwest of the US. Although I've moved around a lot.
Awesome idea, CL! And I am glad to see you on the CB again, it's been a while.

Thanks, Ashlee! I'm glad to be back. I'll try to be more active, though sadly I can't always be on as much as I want to. And I love Edgar Allen Poe! My English did a unit on him last semester, and one of our assignments was to write a poem (Poe-m) in his style. I wrote a really neat one, it's pretty cool! ^^

We all get busy - I cannot be on nearly as much as I wish. And you wrote a poem in his style? Awesome! I went to the library a couple of days ago and got a book on all his collected works, it's quite fascinating. Regardless of his dark, depressing mood in every single line. Ah well. I'll have to try writing in his style as well! Although a lot of people say my writing reminds them of Edgar Allen Poe.

1. Who's in your family? What are they like?
Well, in my home it's just mom, dad, and I. I'm an only child! My mom is a Psychologist at a High School nearby, and my dad is a retired police officer. My dad is in a electric wheelchair, and has been for 25 years of his life (He's 44)
How it happened: My dad, who at the time was a police officer in Spain, was chasing a stolen dar in his police car. He forgot to put on his seatbelt, and when he hit the breaks, his car knocked into a telephone pole. He got a major concussion, and suffered from his spinal cord being broken. When his spinal cord broke, he lost the ability of moving his feet, legs, and fingers.
2. What's your favorite hobby, or thing to do in your free time?
Listen to music, play tennis, ride my bike around the neighborhood, play piano, doodle.
3. Favorite book? Author?
My Favorite book is "A time to Dance," and my favorite author is probably Jesse Andrews and Chris Grabenstein.
4.Tell me about the time when you met your best friend/someone you care about. :)
When I was five years old, my mom and her "mom-friends" made a group called "Mom Scouts" where once a month the moms would hang out and talk. The moms had kids that were my age at the time, so we eventually made a "Kid Scouts" too. I met my best friend when my mom introduced me to her friends daughter!
5. What's your favorite food?
Definitely spinach spaghetti with Parmesan cheese and homemade meatballs!
6. Where do you live (country, area, etc. Nothing specific)?
Illinois, USA.

And @Autumn, (nickname????) Thats really sad about your dad:( I could never imagine what that feels like on a day to day basis, so heres a batch of cookies and a hug. *hugs*

WELL, I'm the oldest of five (Same here Ashlee!) With three girls and two boys (Including myself) My dad is an assistent pastor at our local church, and my mom is our "Homeschooler/artist/cook/lots of other stuff person" :) We have a little cat (In a Chihuahua's body) Named Rocky (after the famous Philly wrestler) three gueania pigs. (Sassy Belle, fat Lily, and our resident hog, charlie.) Fun fact: Me and my sibs are all two years apart so after we finish our birthday spree we're all odd/even numbers:3
2. What's your favorite hobby or thing to do in your spare time?
Draw, read, drink tea, and birdwatch. And boom, that me on a daily basis^^
3. Favorite book? Author?
Favorite book(s) IS THE WINGS OF FIRE SERIES! *woot woot!* favorite author(s) are, Tui T. Sutherland, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling and a WHOLE buncha others.
4. Tell me about the time you met your best friend/person you care about. :)
Well I met my Best friend *coughcoughBearofintelligencecoughcough* At out church. And yeah, after that we sorta stuck;) but before I had a bunch of friends in Philly, who Im not that connected with anymore because ever since I moved to Michigan its been harder and harder to keep up with them.
5. Whats your favorite food?
PAD THAI, GREEN CURRY, GREEN BEANS, SLOPPY JOES, BACON BURGERS, DESMIO, MEXICAN TACOS (like da real ones) , CHINESE FOOD... *drones on about food for another couple hours*
6. Where do you live?
AGH STALKER STALKER CL's A STALKER!!!! *wildly jabs finger at CL*

I'm so sorry about your dad, AutumnArtist! I hope he knows that someone across the country is thinking about him right now. <3 And your favorite food sounds delcious! Italian is my favorite type of food, Mexican second, and then probably burgers + fries third. Very American third, I know, but I can't resist some good fries!

Cool idea.
1. Who's in your family? What are they like?
My mom, my dad, and my dog. My mom has chronic migraines and doesn't work. My dad is a self-employed handyman who works all day usually except for Sundays and not usually on Saturdays. My dog's name is Shiloh and he's a black lab who thinks he's a lap dog.
2. What's your favorite hobby, or thing to do in your free time?
Oh, tough one. Well, I love music, writing, and reading, so probably them. Or just being real crazy and stupid with friends.
3. Favorite book? Author?
My favorite book? AHHH! Too hard! *hyperventilates* anyway, I love the Michael Vey series, but then there are comics. I think the Young Justice comics win. My favorite author... Hmmm... Either Greg Weisman (YJ comics)(he's sorta an author.) or Tui Sutherland or Anthony Horowitz.
4.Tell me about the time when you met your best friend/someone you care about. :)
Well, I met one of absolute best friends in AWANA, a program my church does on Wednesday nights. We met in late fourth grade, and I sorta just went up to her and said hi. We've been friends ever since, and to this day attend AWANA, even though we're leaders now.
5. What's your favorite food?
hmmmm. Chips and salsa. Or a really good salad I make during the summer.. Mmmm. Now I'm hungry, dang it!
6. Where do you live (country, area, etc. Nothing specific)?
The good old USofA.

Shiloh sounds adorable! Black labs are such lovely dogs. My dog's big and crazy and he loves to run around, but he'll roll over if you even lean down to pet him. I think he's just putting on a tough act. :) And I'm just a bit curious, what does AWANA stand for? My church runs a few programs too, but I don't really go to the teen ones--I attend the grownup session with my mom, haha.

1 I am the middle kid. I have an older sister in college, and an older brother. And I have two little brothers. My mom and dad and the four youngest of us all operate a 50 cow dairy. I feed the calves.
2 Free time? what's that?xD I like reading and playing flute and showing my calves in 4H. I also enjoy target practice with my BB.
3 I don't think I have a favourite, I like adventure, middle ages and classics.
4 I don't have a best friend.
5 Tacos and crepes(not together!).

It's really great to meet you, Myles! I haven't seen you much so you must be new on the CB. I hope this thread helps you know me better. Also, that's pretty cool that you work on a farm! I with my suburban life can't really imagine what it's like, but I think it's interesting. My grandparents, who live in Colorado, have a house right next to a yogurt company that my whole family loves to buy from!
