So some of us were talking about doing this RP where we made our charries act like ourselves and we all go to a camp and then discover that we are all from CB. In a moment of HUGE creativity (XD), I decided to name it Camp Cricket. I'm really sorry if anyone else made a thread like this, if they did, then I didn't see it. So. Yeah. We all go to a camp and get put into a cabing together and find out that we are all from CB. So instead of having a charrie, our character is ourself. So you act like yourself... and stuff...

I am defanintly joining. +I came up with the idea.
Name: Dawn( my middle name)
Age:12

Personality: ( how do i do this without making myself sound perfect??)I am a little shy about strangers. love to read and write ( I have about 230 books in my small room including library books)don't talk much, nice, good at making friends. I can't think of that much now.
Apperance: Long golden brown hair, blue eyes, longsleve dark green shirt and jeans and a dark blue jacket. I always have a lgrey bookbag with two or so books that I am reading, a notebook and a pencil, a packet of gummy candys from halloween and a small pocket knife and the scarf that I am knitting.
Background:I live in NM with my parents, brother, little sister , baby brother, dog and my grandparents. I do homeschool and cross country and track.
Hobbies: Reading, writing, running, swimming. My granndmother is teaching me piano.

I'll start.
I looked out the window as the car pulled up to camp. "Great." Hauling my stuff out of the car, I turned to look at the cabin I had been assigned. "Bye, Mom!" After pulling the luggage up to the door, I pushed the cabin door open. I walked into the room and began setting up my computer with a stand and keyboard. Then I realized that the other inhabitants of the room were staring at me. "What?"

"This is camp, doofus. Not techno-school.. If that's a thing.. I'm pretty sure electronics aren't allowed." I tried to sound cool. If my cabin group was a bunch of popular type girls I didn't want to get on their bad sides.
"Uh.. Sorry," Nerdy nerd nerd said.
"No problem."
"Ok Cabin 6B! I'm your counselor, Jade!" She was too peppy. I decided on secretly hating her. "We're going to play the get-to-know-you game just so you can all learn each others' names and stuff. Just go around the room and everyone say their name and a couple facts about themselves." We all formed a big circle on the floor and, just my luck, I had to go first.
"Well.. My name is...." I though really hard. I noticed everyone staring at me. "Sorry I'm deciding if I should use my name or my nickname.. Well I'm Gracie, but you can call me Savvy if you want. Everyone I know online does." Then everyone in the room gasped really loudly.

Oh boy. What fun. We'll say our names, and in a second, everyone'll be chattering away, just yap yap yap all day long, when all l want to do is go explore. l stare at the wooden ceiling of the cabin, sitting cross-legged on the rough wood.
One of the girls starts talking, but l ignore her. l really want to get out of the cabin and see what is out there, but no, l've just got to sit here doing nothing. l can't stand this, please get over with your talking and let's do some adventuring, cause isn't that what this whole camp is about-
And quite suddenly, everyone gasps very loudly, with the exception of Jade abd l. l blink and look around the circle of faces, shocked, confused, amazed. There is a bit of a silence, of which no one says anything, 'And, um, l do gymnastics and play guitar." She says, blandly.
l'm far too distracted to be suprised or to listen to anyone, as l have spotted a fair sized orb weaver spider in the upper corner of the cabin.
There is another akward silence, of which l mutter of myself. "Ooh, spider."
But as it is, mutterings as loud in the silence.

"Bye mom!" I said as I grabbed my suitcase out of the trunk. "Do you need me to walk you over?" She asked from inside the car.
"Nope! Bye!" I said quickly. I ran down the path to my assigned cabin, 6B. I rush inside, since I was a little bit late.
"Sorry I'm late!" I say, out of breath.
"That's ok!" says a girl sitting on the floor. "My name is Jade, and I'll be your camp counseler. We were just playing a get to know you game. Gracie here was just introducing herself," Jade says.
"Thanks!" I say as I slide my suitcase under an empty bunk.
"Uh, yeah. I'm Gracie," the girl says. "But some people call my Savvy. Everyone online does." I do a couple of somersaults in my brain. This name sounds familiar.
"Ok! Would you like to go next?" Jade says to me.
"I'm Bella, but a few friends call me Leafmist," Everyone gasps. "What is it?" I ask.
"Nothing!" Jade says a little too quickly. "Let's keep going!" Everyone in the circle says thier name, nickname and thier hobbies. All of the nicknames sound familiar. Joss, St. Owl, Savvy44x, Cho Chang, Shadow Dragon, Hacker Dee, Critic A, Elvina. (Forgive me if I forgot someone!), but I can't put my finger on WHY they're familiar. Maybe I'll figure it out later...

Most of my cabinmates don't seem too thrilled to be here, but I for one am REALLY EXCITED!!! Ohmygosh I wonder if I'll meet my new best friend here! We'll be so close that she'll move next door to me and we can be next door neighbor BFFS! I know, I know, that's pretty much impossible, but I make up fantasies in my head ALL THE TIME, so.
I scan the crowd for possible friend options. A girl named Gracie (Hey! My school friend's name is Gracie) goes.
"Well I'm Gracie, but you can call me Savvy if you want. Everyone I know online does."
I gasp. Umm... THE Savvy? Um, no. I mean, there are thousands of people on the internet and it's probably impossible that she is THE Savvy. Still, I daydream about us finding out that we are both from Cricket and becoming besties and then writing about our adventures online at CB and then...
"Jocelyn? Your turn." Jade's voice interrupts my fantasy. I like Jade. She seems nice.
"Hi everyone!" I say. "I'm Jocelyn, but my nickname is Joss." Some people gasp, others whisper to themselves. I make sure that my hair isn't a disaster, then shrug and continue.
"I love singing and acting and writing. So. Yeah."

I impatiently tuck my hair behind my ears as I put my bag down on the top bunk of one of the beds. "Claimed!" I say to no one in particular, pulling out a few things and getting them ready. Pajamas. Books. A flashlight. And Ducky (I hurriedly tuck her under the pillow). The camp counselor, Jade, calls us to do get-to-know you games. Ugh. Once all we did was say what our favorite ice cream flavor was. But no, this is different! I get to talk about myself!
And then I start gasping. Time, after time, after time. Savvy! Joss! Leafmist! This is so crazy awesome!! I almost forget that it's my turn, my fantasies about meeting CBers running through my head.
"Oh, sorry!" I say, giggling. Giggling? That's how I greet some of my best friends? "I'm Britt. Harry Potter is my heart, the Beatles are my soul, and I also really like the Hunger Games, Inkheart, Doctor Who, Septimus Heap, and the singers Regina Spektor and Cory Chisel. 'Curious Thing' and 'All the Rowboats' are my favorites." I pause, aware that I've been rambling. "Oh, um, sorry. Anyway... my alias is St.Owl."
I was expecting the gasp, but it still makes my cheeks go a bit warm. "My favorite bug is a cricket!" I exclaim, waiting for the reaction.

Sorry I dodn't start sooner.
Dawn-I am curious and excited about the camp that I am going to. Mom has only told me that she was sure I would love it and that I would make some friends. We turn around a bend and I see the camp. There are some cabins and a lake! There also a few kids arriving or walking around. I step out, nervously. A girl walks up to me and says, "Hi, my name is Jade. Follow me to your cabin."
I wave to my mom and follow Jade. Once we are inside I see ten other people. "Let's get to know each other better."
One of the girls says, "My name is, well, Gracie but you can call me Savvy."
That name rings a bell, and then I remember that is somebody on CB!!! The next person says, "I'm Bella, but my friends call me Leafmist."
We all say our names and I recognize: Joss, St. Owl, Cho Chang, Shadow Dragon, Hacker Dee, Critic A, and Leafmist and Savvy44x. This is going to be an amazing week.

Personality: Kind, smart, creative, I love to read and draw, can be very funny, caring, shy
Appearance: Medium length dirty blond hair, darkish blue eyes, braces (currently blue and purple) wears jeans a lot, short for my age (4'6 or 4'8)
Background: I live on the east coast (I've said the state in other posts, but I'm not going to do it here) with a younger brother and my parents. I LOVE skiing, and I also really like dragons, turtles, and ice cream.
Hobbies: reading, drawing, I ski most weekends in the winter, I play baseball in my yard a lot and I want to play on a team, I play flute.
Other: nothing that I can think of....

My mom drops me off at the camp entrance, and hugs me.
"I'll miss you," we both say at the same time.
We walk up to the cabins together, and then she leaves. I find cabin 6B, and enter. There are a bunch of girls (and boys?) seated on the floor. Heads turn as I walk in.
"Hi.. Um, I'm kind of late," I say shyly.
"That's OK. We're just getting to know each other. I'm Jade, your counselor," says a girl in a green shirt.
I put my bag down on one of the last beds left. Something thumps inside the bag and everyone looks over in alarm.
"It's ok, it's just a few books," I say, embarrassed.
Luckily for me, one of the girls tells me that she loves to read, and we start talking. She says her favorite books are the Harry Potter Series. After a few minutes we realize that we don't even know each other's names.
"Hi, I'm Britt, but my name online is St. Owl," she says.
Wait a second, did she just say St. Owl?!?!?! The St. Owl from the CB? Only one way to find out.
"I'm Maryn, but my name online is Dragonrider," I say.
Britt looks mildly surprised. The other kids introduce themselves and I realize that they're all names I know! Not physically, but virtually! Leafmist, Savvy... Then one of the girls says that her favorite bug is a cricket. I smile. These are the chatterboxers in person.
