The book I recommend for you is The Selection series by Kiera Cass, which is a somewhat well-known series you may have read. It is about a dystopian world where 35 girls are chosen to participate in the "Selection", in which they must compete for the heart of Prince Maxon. However, the main character, America Singer, does not want to be selected.

The book I recommend for you is Spark by Sarah Beth Durst, about a fantasy world where everyone has storm beasts, dragons who can command weather, and a quiet girl named Mina who ends up with a bold lightning beast. Many are certain that it's a mistake, but Mina and Pixit are determined to prove them otherwise, especially when they discover that the idyllic weather they live in comes at a cost. I really enjoyed the message that this book gave.

The book I recommend for you is The Honest Truth by Dan Geimenhart, a fiction about a boy named Mark who has cancer, and after he can't bear it anymore, he sets out on a dangerous journey to climb Mount Rainier like he promised his grandfather. This book made me cry when I read it, and it's definitely worth it. (And if you happened to have read this book before or finish, I suggest Good Dog by the same author or any other book by Dan Geimenharrt!)

Name: Poinsettia

Personality: Outgoing if i'm comfortable, terribly shy if I'm not; witty, colorful personality, fun-loving, friendly, caring

Favorite color: Turquoise

Favorite song: "Te regalo" by... y'all know that already :) (by Carlos Baute)

Favorite quote: "Forward, for the dreams that remain to us/Forward, for the dreams that are still to come/Forward, because the goal doesn't matter/Destiny is the promise of going on" -Naiara, "Adelante"

Favorite genre: Romance or very light fun fantasy

What do you look for in a book?:  A warm, happy atmosphere that makes me want to live within the book's world; romance; characters that make you care about them; beautiful settings; preferably an intricate plot; not too slow, not too fast; a happy and satisfying ending where all the loose ends are tied up and you find out exactly what happens to everyone; relatable teenage girl characters; descriptions and really good, evocative writing; humor.

What emotions do you look for in a book?: That warm, cozy, happy feeling; fascination with the characters and plot and settings; maybe some nostalgia/wistfulness; enjoyment

Do you prefer series or stand alone?: Series! If I really like characters and authors' styles, I can never get enough of them, and I always feel sort of sad when a book ends and I have to say goodbye to them - but if it's a series, I can be consoled by the promise of the next book. Besides, it provides more opportunities for theorizing and getting into all the details of the plot.

What is your message to the world?: *attempts to think of something very cool and fails* I guess just: be a good person for gosh sakes, and enjoy life - pay attention to what matters (nature, family, pets, good meals, sunlight, learning, laughter, books, love) instead of grades and money and all those things.
