The book series I recommend for you is The Last Dragon Chronicles (the first book is The Fire Within) by Chris D'Lacey! (I hope dragons instead of snakes are okay.) This series combines realistic fiction with fantasy and is about a college student tenant who discovers strange things happening within the clay dragons that fill the house. I hope you read it if you haven't and tell me what you think if you do!

Do you prefer series or stand alone?: either
What is your message to the world?: It Was All Kinda Funny
(September 24, 2024 - 10:11 pm)
The book (series) that I recommend for you is Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer. It is a fantasy and slightly sci-fi book about a young genius who discovers the existence of fairies and captures one named Holly in an attempt to find their gold. A bit of a complex but super good book and an amazing series.

You might have read this book before, but if you haven't, definitely read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, which is technically in a series but you can also only read that book. This is an amazing fantasy book about four children who go into a wardrobe and discover the fantastic world of Narnia and have to save it from the White Witch. The last book, called The Last Battle, is cry-worthy and the ending is just...amazing. I really recommend you read it, as it also has some Christian-like themes and references.

OOH! I love Narnia!

Hey hey it's another amazing Moon Wolf quizzzzz
Name: Hawkstar
Personality: Kind, funny, quiet around people I don't really know. Quick with a laugh and smile, loyal. I try and be observant, but I am quite easily distracted. Lover of animals, and generally bookish and prone to humming or whisper songs under my breath
Favorite color: Purple, but I love shades of blues and blue/greens
Favorite song: So hard! But I'm going to go with Dynamite by BTS
Favorite quote: honestly, it's not a quote, so I can change it if you want, but these lyrics from a song I really love : Like a small boat, in the ocean/ Sending big waves, into motion/ Like how a single word, can make a heart open/ I may only have one match/ But I can make an explosion
Favorite genre: All! Well, besides like horror/thriller, and I have trouble getting into classics. But I guess fantasy, adventure, and romance are def my go-tos
What do you look for in a book?: Honestly, people say the cover isn't the book, but I am quicker to read and more likely to read it if it has a interesting cover. I also like to look and see who comments on it (like authors and stuff) and if there are authors that I like that comment, I definitely get it. That's about it! I'm pretty much a grab off the shelf and red person
What emotions do you look for in a book?: A lot of like feeling? Like passion is good, humor definitely, and something that would make you cry in a good way
Do you prefer series or stand alone?: Depends! I definitely love when a book continues into a series, but some books are just ment to be by themselves. So I guess series
What is your message to the world?: Don't judge, just love

And thanks Moon Wolf! I haven't read those, but I will now :)

The book I recommend for you is Pennyroyal Academy by M. A. Larson. It is a trilogy, and the first book is about a girl named Evie who goes to Pennyroyal Academy, an academy for princesses and knights who are trained to fight witches. This is a really good and empowering fantasy book with slight romance and themes of courage, love, and family.

Name: Amethyst
Personality: Usually positive, funny, empathetic, and hopefully a good friend. I'm a dreamer and a writer, who loves fun and being around people.
Favorite song: Let's say "Te Regalo" by Carlos Baute (it's been that for an alarmingly long time - my other favorite song is one I heard on the radio last April and which I still haven't managed to find :|)
Favorite quote: I have tons. Some of them are "His name was Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it" (The Voyage of the Dawn Treader); "Life is tough, my darling, but so are you" (Kyngdom); and "Stand your ground when everybody's giving in" (Martina McBride)
Favorite genre: These days, fantasy and romcoms. Ask me again in four years and it'll probably be scifi and utopian or something >:)
What do you look for in a book?: Decent, inspiring protagonists instead of the snippy/amoral/immoral ones that seem to be the fashion in these degenerate times; vivid, sweep-you-off-your-feet writing; hope and a push towards something good instead of depressing cycles of "Everything's awful and helppp"; a satisfying ending; and tons of other stuff which can't all be listed so I'll stop here :]
What emotions do you look for in a book?: Hope, like I said above; also laughter, courage, and maybe some well-chosen tragedy.
Do you prefer series or stand alone?: Stand alones tend to be better, in my experience, but good series are worth their weight in gold.
What is your message to the world?: Just trust me, romcoms are great. Noo why are you reading a romcom drop it---
(September 25, 2024 - 4:40 pm)
The book I recommend for you is Skyborn: Sparrow Rising by Jessica Khoury. It is part of a trilogy, and it's a really good book about a fantasy world where everyone has bird wings and is part of a bird hierarchy. Ellie was born with sparrow wings, meaning she was destined to be a farmer, but she is determined to change that and become a Goldwing, a knight who protects people. Through her challenges, she does her best to keep hope.
