Hey, uh, the reunion is in 2 days, and in the past we've always had a main thread for one? I'm a little early but I just think when old CBers begin to arrive, they ought to have somewhere to go… So, um, hi! I hope it's okay I'm making this thread if I'm a current CBer, I don't know if it's usually the old CBers that do it…
Anyways, hello, everyone! For anyone who doesn't know, every February 14th we have a reunion where old CBers pop in to say hi. It's really cool to see everyone!
For anyone who doesn't know me, I'm Periwinkle, but most people just call me Peri. I'm a current CBer, here since January 2021. I use she/her pronouns, and you'll usually catch me working on my ski-lodge, giving advice on the Confessions thread, writing about my AEs, and occasionally sharing my poetry.
And for anyone looking for old reunion threads, here's a few. Thank you to Kitten for providing all these links last year so I only had to dig up the 2022 reunion, saved me a lot of time XD

Hi Luna!! I'm not much of a theater person myself but the artform has always been super impressive to me. Sounds like a lot of work! Also, wow, you're doing so much lol. I agree with you on the strangeness of not recognizing the current CBers. It's not bad, just makes me feel a little like an ancient relic of some sort.

It's me, Kitten, the one who looked up all the old reunion threads last year. It was such a surprise to open this thread and see my name there <3
I remember the first reunion in 2019, and it's so weird to think that it's been four years since then?!
A little bit about me- as I just said, I'm Kitten. I use she/they pronouns. I was active on the CB from 2017 to around 2021. Some of my favorite things about the CB are the odd traditions that are somehow still going, like ski lodges, the poetry thread, and catch the cookie. This was the site that first encouraged me to write and gave me a place to share my writing, as well as the first time I was ever on an internet forum, so it holds a very special place in my heart. Like Indy and Bakerloo said, going to this site again was such a nostalgia burst- it's so fun to see that it still looks exactly the same, still has that weird glitch where the first comment on a page sends it to the very back, etc. It feels almost like a time capsule.
I'm currently in high school. I'm taking some very fun classes this year, and I'm realizing just how much of a history nerd I am. Some of my current interests and hobbies include: robotics, the school newspaper, editing videos, collecting earrings, jigsaw puzzles, researching random fun bits of history, Matilda, Graceling, Shadow and Bone, Heartstopper, Critical Role, and loads more. I haven't been writing as much lately as I used to, but I have still been doing NaNo every year, which I absolutely credit to the CB.
What's up with y'all? Any new pieces of media you're obsessed with?

Have you ever considered submitting your writing somewhere? I've had some of mine published in my school's literary arts magazine, and it's very cool to see my writing in print. I think your poetry deserves to be published too!

Hi everyone! It's awesome to see so many old CBers, even some that I only know from reading the Letterbox excerpts a long time ago! I'm Sterling, they/them pronouns, and I've been on the CB since August 2020. Gosh, that seems so long ago now...

Hello, everyone! I'm Vyolette, I use she/her pronouns, and I was active on the CB from 2017 to 2019 (I think). Gosh, it's great to see so many names on this thread, both old and new!
The CB really had an impact on me as a young teenager, as it allowed me to make friends, explore writing and creativity, and goof off and have fun in games and activities with my AEs. I can pretty much agree with what everyone's saying, about how the CB is so nostalgic and comforting. It really is a fantastic community, and I have so many great memories from it.
I'm currently in my freshman year of college, which has honestly been amazing so far. It's way different than online school, I'll tell you that. My classes are all going smoothly so far. I'm majoring in English and minoring in music, which are literally my two favorite things, so I couldn't be happier. It's also cool being around other English majors and pianists, as we get to geek out about literature and theory and our favorite time periods and all sorts of stuff no one else really understands. In short, I love college.
Echoing what bakerloo said, happy 50'th anniversary to Cricket! Also thank you, Admins, for being here and doing everything you do!

Vy! Wow, I remember reading a story you were posting (All That Glitters?) back when we were both still active, and before I really started writing anything longform. It was such an inspiration to me. Also, being surrounded by people you can geek out with about random things no one else understands sounds absolutely fantastic, and I'm jealous lol

I do! I haven't been writing as much as I want to (I have a bad habit of writing a ton during November and then not touching my novel for months as soon as November is over, and also homework is kicking my butt), but I do really enjoy writing still. I hope to finish a book at some point, even if it's years from now. How about you?
