Hi everyone! It has been a long, long, long time since I was last here (4-5 years if I remember correctly). I was cleaning out my cupboard and I found a bunch of old cricket magazines, as well as an old notebook that I found some CB picturings in. I honestly didn't even know if this site was still used! But I thought I'd come say hi, and just before the reunion too - how convenient. To me, the CB looks relatively unchanged! It makes me so happy that this site is still offerring a safe and loved community to so many kids.  

I don't think I ever 'left' the CB, but I sort of grew out of it and drifted away. But I've always thought of it as a safe space for me and it has a special place in my heart. Looking back through threads made many many years ago it's like I never left! 

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who is a part of this wonderful community. Everyone was so sweet, so kind and welcoming and forgiving. I'm not sure if anyone from that long ago will ever see this, but I want to thank you (and the admins) with my whole heart for being the people you are, and for being real friends to me. 

Maybe I'm being dramatic and sappy, but I forgot how much I've missed this place. I often wonder where my CB friends from when I was 11 are now. Anyways, there probably isn't anyone who remembers me haha. Just checking in to say hi!  

Um, hi, I'm Periwinkle! I'm a current CBer but I've always wanted to check one of the reunions out. 

I recognize a lot of names on here!! Glad to see you're all visiting too.

So, uh, hi everyone. I'm Sybill, although I mostly go by either Crow or Leo now. I can't actually remember exactly when I left, but I think it was in 2020, around the time Sabrina left. I was on and off the CB for about 4 or 5 years, but I was never really very active, so you may or may not remember me. I think I visited here in November or something, though, but I didn't stick around for long. 

I use he/they/xe pronouns--I think I came out as trans on the CB but honestly I could be wrong, so if you weren't aware, hi. I'm uh, not a girl anymore, haha. I'm going to be getting my driver's permit soon, which is still kind of crazy to me because I feel like I'm getting older so quickly. Sort of scary in a way, but... a little exciting too. I'm still in contact with several older CBers, and you'll already know this, but I was also diagnosed with plantar fasciitis a couple months ago. It's a foot condition, and the simplest way I can describe it is that the large muscle connecting my foot bones together is inflamed and... pretty much slowly deteriorating. Mine is a chronic condition, so it won't ever go away entirely, but it only really affects me in flare-ups so it's not too severe. My right foot hurts from time to time and walking can be hard, so I have special sole inserts that I wear to help with pain. I know I made it sound horrible, but honestly, it could be a lot worse.

I have a wonderful little beagle who loves me more than anything, an eleven year old cat who hates my guts, and some chickens who really couldn't care less about me. I used to show chickens but I don't really do that anymore--still have all my birds, though! There was some "Chicken People" show on Amazon Prime, I think, that my family and I were watching and we'd actually met some of the people they interviewed in it, haha. 

I've been playing a lot of videogames lately. I finally played Undertale, and I don't know why I didn't earlier. It's such a good game! I've also been playing Pathologic Classic as well as Pathologic 2, which are very obscure, but very good games. I've also got into Five Nights at Freddy's again, mostly for nostalgia. Ask me about any of these games and I could talk for hours on them, honestly. 

I'm planning on going into psychology when I get older. I haven't really written anything in a while but I hope to get back into it. I'm still sort of active on Kyngdom, if any of you ever check in there. I have some socials I'd love to link but I don't think the Admins will let me. This is starting to get long now so I think I'll end it here, but I might come back to add more later! I'll probably stick around for a week or so to say hi to everyone visiting. I don't recognize a lot of the currently active users, so it'll be nice to meet some of you!
