CB History

Have you ever wondered what it was like before you came onto the CB? Who was here, what books were popular, and what in the world Blue Moon Ice Cream is? Well this is the place for it. Anyone can post stories, links to old threads [they most likely aren't active anymore, so don't post on them:) ], their old names, when they started, really: anything you want to share about the old CB with everyone here.

This is a list I started a while back to keep track who's still on.

Oh! I remember Air! She started the Robots vs. Humans RP. I think she just disappeared, as did many CBers from that age.

@Rose bud:

Yeah, I was afraid of that... I've asked before and no-one knew what happened to her. (Her? Yes?) I just hoped, though, that maybe she was still around.

I've been in somewhat regular contact with Air the last few years. I haven't talked to her much recently because she's really very busy with school and life.  But she's doing alright last I spoke to her.  She, like many of us from then, just don't have a lot of time to keep up with the cb regularly and with all the changes and people coming and going.

Hey, do any of you guys remember the Great Monkwee War? I have a secret. I WAS EMPEROR PANGWANG III THE WHOLE TIME! I still don't know who won... or if anyone did. Well, anyway, here's the links (Post please , Admins):

So that's a little bit of weird CB history for you.

@BHR:

I thought so. I'm glad to know what finally happend though! Honestly, she probably doesn't remember me (I posted maybe, like, twice?) but I remember her, because like I said, she was the first person to welcome me to the CB. And I totally get the whole 'busy with life' thing-- I'm the same way! I just procrastinate on everything to be on here.

And also, how are you? I haven't seen you around much, but you seem to pop in at just the right times.

@Tux

And Indigo and Somebody and Novelist and Riddler and Little Reader and Mirax and Hotairballoon and Vikki and Booksy Owly and Dragonrider and Joan and Katydid and some of these people haven't officially left but they don't post much anyway and they were my friends, and there are plenty of other people that I haven't listed but...I miss them so much. I can't do NaNo so I have no way of contacting any of these people.... The people I have the most meaningful connections with are the older people, the people who have been on the CB for a long time. And it's almost always these people who leave, or drift away, or disappear.

@Everyone

What about Cho Chang and Daisy, who left to stand up for what they believed in? Claaws is a great person, I have nothing against her, I'm not trying to be mean and nobody should get offended at me but how come Cho and Daisy didn't get obituaries and fan clubs?

@Everyone again

If you want to learn about CB history, look back in the old threads. Click back 30 or so pages and just start looking at random threads.

@Coyotedomino

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: It's best not to make lists of CBers, because no matter what people will get left out, they'll get offended, and they'll leave.

Good point. I didn’t know Daisy enough, but I did know Cho, and I honour her in my own way. We use ^^ a lot, when we communicated on NaNo, and now I use it on Chatterbox. ^^

I think it is because Claaws is more recent. I didn't know Cho Chang or Daisy. I don't really know Claaws well either, but I have at least communicated with her. I don't think it is neccesarily a fan club, though I did see some fan-club type posts when she left but I don't think that is happening anymore for any CBer.  Cho Chang and Daisy are getting remembered in their own way by the older CBers, but newer ones are more likely to remember and wonder about Claaws.

Booksy Owly... Haven't I drawn her? Hang on.

Okay, this is from years ago, so sorry it's bad.

I just wanted to poke in; for a number of reasons (CLAAWS!) that I don't want to list here. Here's my long rant--I  mean, uhhh, my short comment listing things I have to say!

❄Leafpool--  I remember Cho and Daisy! They were two of my favorite CBers (Potterheads! Smile) and remain honored CB graduates in my book.

I'd also like to agree; lists of CBers are horrible. I was on in 2015 (as a dorky and truly evil 11-year-old who didn't understand that threads died and therefore went around seven pages back to post EVERYWHERE, even on threads she didn't care about) and posted several times. On the CB, people mainly get remembered by the amount of posts they make. Because I've been slipping away and posting less, nobody's mentioned me in pretty much every/any name-guessing thread, or spirit animal guessing thread(etc, etc).  It makes me feel horrible, because, while I want to be included, I don't want to go on every single thread and post just to make the fact that I still exist come through.

...Geesh that was a long rant on my part.

❄Applejaguar-- I can tell you for a fact that (I believe it was Brookeira, correct me if I'm wrong about who owned MP) Brookeira invented Masked Piester as the first AE. All I know is that it was Masked Piester.

A note about AE past that hopefully won't spark controversy-- Back then, some people mainly started AEs out following Masked Piester's example too well (and ripping away his unique aspects if you ask me). AEs were always chaotic, and most of them carried pie blasters. If you look at some old AE threads, then and now, the change gets more distinct. The change mainly began during the AE war--but that's enough said.

And my last reply;

❄Coyotedomino-- Let me guess, you're familiar with "Oh my Claaws"? This phrase originated in Kyngdom, where Claaws made her character, a Power, known. We use words that are the Powers or protagonists/antagonists of the story there as swear words; Catastrophe, Sylvia, Lunee, Ecio, Ayearth, Celesti, and OMK (Oh my Kyngdom). Eventually, it spread throughout the Chatterbox where I proudly use OMK and Oh My Claaws to this day. ;3

Long opinionated post end!

@Starseeker: Oh she probably does. She remembers quite a few people on here.  If I hear from her again any time soon I'll pass on a hello from you.  And I'm doing quite well, thank you!  I'm just very busy.  I have work, I help out around home, I'm in several higher levels of dance which take up a lot of my time, and this month I'm participating in NaNoWriMo.  I try to check in here sometimes because I don't want to lose connection with the CB entirely, but between threads moving so fast and not having time to sit and type up responses I don't comment a whole lot.

@Leafpool: I had regular contact with Indigo up until the last few months. She's cut all internet ties indefinitely because she wanted to focus on relationships with people in real life.  But I talk to Katydid all the time.  She's doing very well but she too wanted to reduce how much time she spent online and devote it to other things.

Heya. Guess I'm kinda old. Been here since the era of crowd sorcery. I was ten then... Now I'm 14!

The first rp I created was pretty successful, with 200 posts... That's about the only memorable thing I'm done here. Called the Shadow Rp. Did it with Indigo and Winter Firefly and Noelle! They were really good people. Miss them.

Brookeira and Winter were the first two people with AEs. Masked Piester and BLASTER!! Respectively. Technically, I think I had the third, called Squeak, though I had been referring to him as my 'twin brother' when I first introduced him. Which is a lie. I have no twin brother I'm afraid. Why did I think that was a good idea?

To be honest I'm a bit sad that no one can remember me? I remember being fairly active a long time ago. I was a bit of a jerk though. Always made some absurd thread about me being sad about one thing or another.

Ah... The AE wars. Such a time those were. I remember complaining about how there were too many AEs and the 'older AEs' were getting forgotten. Because it was all about me, wasn't it?

As a side note, the first rp I joined was BHR's: The Time Travel one... I kinda messed that one up. Ugh. I was fairly cringy back then. Still am!

Does anyone remember Pete the Trollslayer? Noelle C? Those two were seriously great writers.

Who are Dean and Cas, where are they from, and why are they always in pie fights? (I feel like I should know this...)
