I just felt like wrecking and completely obliterate all peace and quiet in the entire universe with one thread. To make a long explanation short, this is a thread where you can take advatage of anonymity (or don't, I'm not one to tell you what to do) and talk aboutthe embarassing concept of crushes and if you have one, yadda yadda yadda. I don't know why we made these. But we did and I'm doing one. I'm going to stop rambling now.

Brooklyn, I would be very, very wary of being an unofficial thing with someone. My brother was shipped with a girl in the nieghborhood. It was very clear that they were going to start dating. Except... they didn't. And they won't. The girl told my brother that their friendship is never going beyond friendship. Now she has a boyfriend. (An actual boyfriend, not one of the little kid ones. She's in college.) As far as I can tell, it's not public knowledge that she and my brother are over, because people keep saying things like "Oh, [Brother] and [Girl] are totally a thing!". You can't really break off a relationship that was never official though. That being said, I don't know your exact situation. There is a different couple who were shipped madly and are now dating. It's not impossible, I'm just saying think long and hard about whether you want to be unofficially official.

The funny thing is, I have no impact on being shipped or not. I have never been considered 'popular', and am really the stereotypical nerdy goody-two-shoes (is that a thing?). Even people who hate us ship us. My friend and I were shipped when we were just best friends. And maybe if you knew him it would be different. We're considering ourselves an (oh boy) 'official unofficial'. Neither of us is allowed to date. But both of us agree that we want to one day.
This is not a; "Aw, you guys would be so cute together!"
"Um, no. We're just friends."
"No, you guys should totally start dating. You're so cute!"
"We're. Just. Friends"
kind of situation. Each of us knows how the other one feels, and we're both okay with that.
I know this guy better than any other of my friends. He is the sweetest, kindest, most honest person I know. He's a really special person in my life, and I love and value him as a friend. But the thing is, I believe that we could get a whole lot out of being more. This guy is one of those 'once in a lifetime' people, and I am really blessed to know him and to know that he likes me back in that way.

Ok, yes. After I've seen what everyone else's crushes are like, I know for sure that I have one. Or did have one. The big 'climax' stage is over. Like when you are comstantly thinking about them all day.
@aPersonwhoexists- Yes, I do have dreams about my crush, and they are very WEIRD.

Yay! Im not alone! Ive had dreams too: i was best friends with them, i was eating lunch with them, i was escaping a school full of zombies with them, I was playing hide and seek and we were sitting at the top of a huge tree. Theyre probably not as weird as yours tho! @You are totally

I once had a dream where my crush and I participated in a Drone Racing League, except we were riding the drones, and I had a badger attached to my face, so I couldn't see who was winning, and I kept trying to get the badger off my face, but no matter what, I couldn't. My crush ended up winning the race, and after that she came up to my face and whacked the badger with a baseball bat, which sent the badger flying. Then I woke up. That was pretty weird.
I've had others, but that's the most recent one. In another one, I had to eat a ninja for some reason, but the ninja was actually my crush. I didn't eat her, and instead threw a penguin at her.
My dreams are so incredibly random.

So last year I had a crush on this one guy (Still do) and he's a year older than me, which means he was in 8th grade when I was in 7th. I go to a middle school. And during last year, my other friend made us confess to each other. It wasn't an akward thing or anything, mostly because it was really obvious that we liked each other. So this year, he goes to the high school across the street and I haven't seen him in like 2 months! But guess what? This morning, right as I was going to go into my first period classroom, guess who called my name! I hugged him real quick before I went into class, and he said he missed me!

I'm posting under my name because I've never had a crush. And as far as I know no one has had crush on me... See, I go to an only-boys school. Religious Jews have schools like that often. I know, really weird. I'm really not used to physical interaction with girls (other than relatives of course).
Do I have problems?

No, of course you don't have problems. There is no problem with not getting crushes on people and there's no problem with not being 'crushed on'. Do you go to a yeshiva? A couple of my friends do. Actually (and I feel really silly for saying this) I didn't know you were a boy!
As to the whole not being used to physical interactions with girls... Funnyish story: I went to a Jewish day school until 8th grade and many of my friends couldn't touch the opposite gender. So then I graduated and came to public high school, and for about a year if any boy came into physical contact with me when I wasn't expecting it I would jump about three feet in the air. I wasn't used to not having to watch where I put my hands so I wouldn't embarass someone else! I am not religious and do not follow those particular laws, but it did take some adjusting when none of the people around me did, either.

I had this dream, where my crush was giving me pushes on a swing. He kept pushing me higher and higher. Then, all of the sudden, we were at this fish fry (?). He tried to get me to eat fish, and well, I hate fish. Then all of the blurry, faceless people around me kept saying "Oh, look how cute you two are!" And even though I was being force-fed fish, I was in a little bubble of bliss...
But my crush's face was really wierd, too. Like, he had my, uh, let's say Ex-crushes hair, but then his face (Except for his hair) was how it usually is.....?
I do not know. The realm of dreams is FAR beyond my understanding...

I am a single pringle! But I have had crushes before. And there’s this kid who has a crush on me that I barely know, and it’s kinda awkward now. *wince* I only wanted to be friends, if even. Like I said, I barely know him. XD
The only time where me having a crush on someone fell apart was the time that this kid found out I liked him. We remained friends, but it was definitely awkward for me after that wound had been made. I eventually got over it, however, and don’t think about it that much.
Right now, already a quarter has passed by in high school, and I need to get really good grades this quarter so my semester 1 GPA is good, so I don’t have time for crushes or boyfriends. (But perhaps I am having a forbidden crush on someone ;)

On ships:
I am not a huge fan of being shipped. Or really, I'm not a fan of being shipped at all. Occasionally, I ship real people who I know, and I ship book/movie characters quite a bit. But as I metioned a couple sentences ago, I hate being shipped, and having a friend yell across the cafeteria, "XXXXX LIKES SO-AND-SO!" (Names cut where necessary), especially when I do not like that person.
And on another note, maybe I have a crush myself...
