I just felt like wrecking and completely obliterate all peace and quiet in the entire universe with one thread. To make a long explanation short, this is a thread where you can take advatage of anonymity (or don't, I'm not one to tell you what to do) and talk aboutthe embarassing concept of crushes and if you have one, yadda yadda yadda. I don't know why we made these. But we did and I'm doing one. I'm going to stop rambling now.

OMK Last year I had a completely terrible crush on this kid in my grade and everyone shipped me with him, which I knew all about. The problem was, he was completely clueless about the whole thing. this is like a line of progression, that I randomly came up with -- Like (as in attracted to), smitten, like
(as in a more than just attracted to), crush and if you get past crushing them, you love them, but that doesn't happen all that often I guess.

so, i have not had any crushes yet, (thank Bast!) but i have had several girls with crushes on me.
now, i ever since the second one have really, REALLY stopped caring about my appearence, because i do N-O-T like people having crushes on me (when informed of the current one by my-sort of-teacher..well, heres the conversation: "she was looking for you at the prom" "she really told you this?" "well, not exactly, but she was looking for someone and i had a feeling it was you." "Bast help me, another one!?!," "yeah, but who would'nt? you're so cute and everything-" at this i turned quite red and threatened to stomp on her toes if she would'nt shut up and walked away.) ugh, But the thing is, there's been THREE,THREE!!! ugh.

I have a c...c... Crush (it hurt just saying the word) on a kid that goes to my church... He has no idea i like him... At least i hope not!! *chews on nails* but i dont think he likes me in the least... Its sad really... (No not really i would litterly DIE if he did) ... Can i stop talking now *hides behind crush, notices who she is hiding behind, screams and dashes out of room*
There are a few boys that like me though they are actually kind of annoying to tell the truth. Always walking around acting weird. (Is that how boys see us girls? It would make sense.)
Ok done talking about c...c...c-r-u-s-h-e-s (still hurts) and boys and gross stuff like that!!!!!! *puts a basket on head and walks out of room*

Um, well, I've had a crush on my best friend since seventh grade (He and I are both in eighth grade, and have been best friends since sixth grade.). I decided to tell him I liked him this year, and he told me that he liked me back. We've decided to be best friends for the rest of this year, and perhaps start dating in high school. The funny thing is, EVERYONE in my ENTIRE school has shipped us since sixth grade, and all of our friends tell us, "We knew that you guys were going to end up together!" which is a little obnoxious. But I'm really happy that I fell for my best friend. He actually used to be on here (for about a month) under the username Aragorn Scamander.

Yeah, I've had crushes before. I have one right now, too. But before I go any further, here is a question: What is your definition of a crush? I still don't know how I define a crush. I used to think I had a crush whenever I saw someone cute, doing the eight year old "love at first sight" thing. Some of my friends define a crush as "if you were old enough, would you consider being in a relationship." I don't 100% agree with this definition, as they think you can't have mulple crushes at once, but I do partway.
Anyways, yeah I do have a crush on this guy. He's in my theatre, and I've known him for. . . three years, but he's known me for one. I'm glad that now I'm older, I'm not super shy and embarrassed around him anymore, I'm fine with being myself. He's the best.
Also, I have a friend crush on a girl. (please tell me someone else knows what this is.) I've had it for half a year, and we are slowly becoming friends again. For six months ive been trying to get to know her again, bevause we used to be good friends. Now I'm still really awkward and a little quiet, and my anxiety definitely jumps when I'm around her, but not as much.

I honestly wouldn't know how to describe a crush, but it's an interesting topic! I'd say I know I have a crush when I start looking for the person in classes, hoping to be put on the same team as them in P.E. and group projects, getting that weird fuzzy feeling, etc. Do you think having a crush on someone is a choice, or that it's just something that happens?

I don't have any crushes. I had a bunch when I was younger, but I absolutely HATE having them, and try not to if I can help it. Thing is, I find most people I know have crushes and find that completely normal. They sometimes think it's strange that I don't like having them and that I'm extremely afraid of having them. It also gets old that when I say, "I don't have any crushes and try not to." That others will say, "You can't help it! You will have a crush someday!" The thing is, no matter what those people think, I can help it, and have been helping it for awhile now.But lately I've been feeling quite nervous that I might get a crush on one (or more) of my friends that are boys. I would hate to have this happen. Not only would it feel weird and awkward, but I wouldn't feel the same around them and it would just be...ugh. *shudders* I hope someone out there understands how I feel for once.

@anyone: seriously, if anyone can tell me what a crush feels like, that would be much appreciated. Also, what age did y'all start to get crushes? What does it feel like? Whenever it gets described to me, it just sounds really unappealing.
At first, I thought I might have a crush on one guy two years ago, and freaked and and never talked to him again. Then I realized that it was a friend crush (squish) and that I didn't actually want to date him. I did that a few more times. I would start to become friends with some guy, and then become freaked out because I thought I might have a crush, since I thought that if you liked hanging out with a guy, you had a crush on him. I still can't really tell, but I don't think I've ever had a crush. Maybe I'm too young (I'm 14 though), or maybe I'm aromantic (that just means you don't get crushes).
