Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

CB Quest!I a

CB Quest!

I already made this, but I had to go on vacation, so I couldn't write. This is not an RP; this is a story.

Once apon a time, the CB was peaceful and happy... Each section of the CB was shared equally. Then came the times of the glitch. The Glitch was a powerful coding error that made fake CBers who eventually tried to take over.

With the help of Abi's trusty soapbox, the Glitch was stopped, but then we had a new problem (the Glitch was just a backstory)....all of the CBers were confused. They yelled at eachother. Accused eachother. And in the middle of this, a Guardian decided that they would seal the Soapbox away for the good of the Chatterbox!

Three brave MC CBers decided to go on a quest to find it. But then, the Guardian invited YOU to meet him/her in his/her cottage, where He/She tells you she/he will allow you to find the soapbox, and then shows you a golden bag. She/he says that if you find an item from each area--A magical Theater Mask from Pudding's Place, a spellbook from Blab About Books, a small globe from Down to Earth, and a bottle of magical ink that never runs out or spills from the Inkwell, the bag will open, and the soapbox will be found.

One of the MCs has been friends with the Guardian many years, and convinces the other 2 to agree.

This is interactive. There will be riddles and clues, and YOU YOURSELF have to solve them. Here is the charrie sheet. We will be accepting seven charecters--four MCs (one MC is the Guardian) and the rest are secondary/tetiaries. I might make your AEs and CAPTCHAs randomly appear. Here's the Charrie Sheet.

Our consensus is west.

Ñovelist

Novel sighed and jerked her hand towards the cross. "It's like a compass rose. And this--" -she jerked her hand to the right- "Is west on a compass rose." "Why can't we fight a beast?" "It's obvious why. Now march."

The heroes travelled through the dirt path through the forest for one day. Nothing special happened except that Mei finally perfected her Lumos spell, and there was a bird that sorta looked like a flying kitten.

"The river." Mei groaned. "It's not so bad..." Novelist murmured. And then she took a deep breath and leaped.

She looked down.

White water. Rapids. Jagged rocks. And then--land.

Mei fluttered over, supporting Booksy's light frame.

They made their way through the rubble. One day passed.. "Fortuna Major." Booksy whispered, against the big rubble pile. "I thought it was Caput Draconis, but whatever. You may enter." Athena's voice came from within.

"Athena, we need the chirp at cricket artifact." Novelist said matter-of-factly. Athena whipped a golden bow and arrows out of nowhere. "You're not getting it."

What do you do?

Negotiate. Persuade Athena to give it to us. It shouldn't be too hard, since she probably wants Chatterbox peace, too.

Do you all share this mindset?

~Booksy Owly

"Athena!" Booksy said in the sharpest voice she could muster. "Stop!" Novelist glanced back at Booksy to see if it really was her that was talking. Booksy gave a shy smile. "So you do have the object, whatever it is." Mei said, encouraged by Booksy's boldness.

"Yes. And it's my family's. I can't let you take it." Athena said, her arrow quietly in position to fire. "But don't you want to heal the CB?" Mei asked. "Have it go back to normal, and we can all be friends again?" Athena bit her lip. She didn't seem like a child anymore.

"Do you know why my name is Athena?" She asked quietly. "Because only a God or Goddess can protect the artifact. My parents named me that because they hoped I could fufill the prophecy." "What Prophecy?" "The Prophecy of the Chatterbox." "Oh-kay...."

Mei tried again. "This could heal the CB! Stop the ruins!" She tried. Athena seemed to be weakening. She handed them a golden bag, then walked away, without a word.

A rumble shook the ruins. Part of the ceiling (which was a huge iron sheet) started to crumble, slowly, ripples filling the iron. "Get out!" Booksy screamed as they ran from the ruins. Mei grabbed a Harry Potter book and ran out. "But our stuff!" Novelist said. "You worked hard to get that Booksy. You travelled the ruins for days. You're going to let it crumble?!" Booksy sighed. "Right now our lives matter more."

And they scooted out of their old base and began to run. Nobody knew why they ran, those three girls. They did...because it felt RIGHT to run, right to do something...

It was good that they ran. Because they turned around just in time to see their base blow up in an extreme ball of fire, gas, and smoke. It didn't happen slow and graceful and movie-like... it happened quickly, and before their eyes, leaving a searing impression on their minds forever.

Booksy screamed.

What could have happened?!

Perhaps Athena's arrows? Or... Oh! I think the prophesy said that when the special item was given to a mortal, its former hiding place would blow up!

~Novelist

They were all shaken. All of them. Ever since Booksy had brought up that Athena's arrows had maybe done it. Booksy clutched the golden bag, turning white.

Novelist turned to her and gently pryed the bag from her hands. Booksy's skin returned to it's normal shade...and then she screamed, whirling and pointing at a flying shape in the sky swooping towards them.
