CB Quest!I a
Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket
CB Quest!I a
CB Quest!
I already made this, but I had to go on vacation, so I couldn't write. This is not an RP; this is a story.
Once apon a time, the CB was peaceful and happy... Each section of the CB was shared equally. Then came the times of the glitch. The Glitch was a powerful coding error that made fake CBers who eventually tried to take over.
With the help of Abi's trusty soapbox, the Glitch was stopped, but then we had a new problem (the Glitch was just a backstory)....all of the CBers were confused. They yelled at eachother. Accused eachother. And in the middle of this, a Guardian decided that they would seal the Soapbox away for the good of the Chatterbox!
Three brave MC CBers decided to go on a quest to find it. But then, the Guardian invited YOU to meet him/her in his/her cottage, where He/She tells you she/he will allow you to find the soapbox, and then shows you a golden bag. She/he says that if you find an item from each area--A magical Theater Mask from Pudding's Place, a spellbook from Blab About Books, a small globe from Down to Earth, and a bottle of magical ink that never runs out or spills from the Inkwell, the bag will open, and the soapbox will be found.
One of the MCs has been friends with the Guardian many years, and convinces the other 2 to agree.
This is interactive. There will be riddles and clues, and YOU YOURSELF have to solve them. Here is the charrie sheet. We will be accepting seven charecters--four MCs (one MC is the Guardian) and the rest are secondary/tetiaries. I might make your AEs and CAPTCHAs randomly appear. Here's the Charrie Sheet.

~Mei-Xue
The group of four made their way across the ruins of what used to be This Month, silently supporting Booksy, who had sprained her ankle in a rubble pile. "Booksy, Booksy, it's okay." Rainbow said. Booksy pushed back the bobbed brown hair that framed her face and adjusted her glasses. "I'm fine." She said, putting on her best brave face.
The crew trooped on through plates of tin, shattered homes, shattered dreams, and saw the lights of a remaining civilization--Inkwell--in the distance. "I think we're lost." Mei murmured. "Don't say that!" Rainbow said bravely, supporting Booksy. "I agree." Novelist said with a sigh. "We're lost."
"I told you not to say that!!!" Rainbow yelled.
"That was probably 'we're completely lost' in Chinese." Novelist muttered. "Touche." Mei said with a grin. "That probably means yes in Chinese...?" Rainbow asked. The entire group stopped and stared at her. She blushed. "Oh."
The small group forged onward. "I've got it!" Booksy yelled, and stumbled into a rubble pile in her excitement. Mei whipped a Harry Potter wand--it looked like Hermoine's--out of her bag. "I can lift her out!" Mei said. "Wingardium Leviosa!" The wand glowed with a faint light and...nothing happened.
A few crickets chriped in the distance.
Mei blushed as the group pulled Booksy out. "I need to work on my spells." She whispered. "Girl, you are completely insane!" Novelist said with a grin. "Thanks!" Mei said. Novelist nodded as the group charged on. "What I was exited about is that on the map it says we have to cross a river on a footbridge to get here, and there it is!" Booksy explained.
The river was a huge, roaring rapids, foaming, gushing, rushing, roaring, and...."There's no bridge for miles." Novelist murmured, writing notes down in a book. Mei surveyed the river. All she could find was two giant nails in the ground. "This must've been where the bridge was." She murmured, starting to power up her wings.
She kicked the air, and--the spray completely covered her wings. "Wings don't work when they're wet!" She screamed. "Okay einstin!" Novelist yelled as she grabbed Mei's legs. Booksy screamed and grabbed on to Novelist, and together, they all fell into the river.
The water wasn't really any tempurature--and it rushed. Mei felt her knees getting scraped on rocks, pain shooting through her body, scrapes all over her body, a bit of blood leaking into the water.
And suddenly the water felt cold, Ice cold, and she hit her head on a rock just as she felt delicate hands holding onto her, and pulling her out, as darkness consumed her.

I'm unconcious! Yay for me!
Good story so far! Are you Somebody? Brooke?
(August 10, 2016 - 3:19 pm)
It's totally Somebody.
I think.
(August 10, 2016 - 6:51 pm)
Nope. Novelist, I'm saving writing from your POV until later.
~Mei-Xue
Mei woke up, still drenched in darkness. Then she realised it was because she hadn't opened her eyes. Had she been hit on the head by a rock? When would that have happened?
The river. It all came back to her in an instant. Hitting rocks. Getting scraped. Why wasn't she sore?! All of the memories switched into her head instantly, and she gasped as her eyes flew open. Why was it so cold?!
Her first impression was stone brick walls. Castle architecture, like the ones at home. Walls held together with something other than cement that she didn't recognize. And then she felt herself, and her eyes darted around. She was laying on a green cot.
She sat up and blood flew to her head. The cot creaked loudly, as if complaining. Green couches. Booksy and Novelist sitting there, a mug of something hot and steamy in both of their hands. Where was Rainbow? And two unfamiliar people. One with paper-pale skin and huge blue eyes, and flowing blonde hair. The other (sorry, I'm going to have to humanize and change this. I hope you don't mind!) with darker, coal-black skin, orange eyes, and flowing violet hair.
"Welcome back." The darker one says. The blonde one rolls her eyes. "'Shadow, there's no reason to 'Welcome her back', she's been here all along." She says in a flute-like voice, feminine and pretty. "Mind your manners, these are guests." Shadow? says. She turns to Mei. "I am Shadowmoon, and this is my sister Icicle." She says corteously.
"Please, call me Icy." Icicle says in a kinder voice. "Umm, that's great, but where are we?" Mei asks. "You're in the Castle of the Guardians." Icy informed, in a slightly stuck-up manner. Mei's hands flew to her mouth. "A castle--like a fully furnished and prepared castle?" Mei asked. "Yes." Shadowmoon answered cautiously.
"Why have you hid this from the rest of the world?!" Mei snapped. Shadowmoon and Icy's eyes grew wider (Icy's to about the size of Dinner Plates, since her eyes were normally the size of the bottom of a Coffee mug.). "We hide from the world." Icy said in her best 'fantasy' voice.
"Please, sis, stop with the drama." Shadowmoon said. "However, it is true, we hide ourselves from the world." Icy continued in a fantasy voice. Mei's anger slowly deflated like a baloon. She had expected Icy and Shadowmoon to make an excuse, try to escape.
"I'll leave you girls to talk." Icy said primly. She waved her hand, and a hovering snowstorm--an entire mini-snowstorm--appeared in the air above her hand. Shadowmoon sighed. "As will she." icy added, sweeping out of the room in her huge blue dress. Shadowmoon followed.
"What happened?" Mei said weakly. "And why are the frames of Booksy's glasses translucent?" "They got broke in the water and Icy made new ones out of Ice." Booksy explained smoothly. "You got knocked out. Icy and Shadowmoon appeared at the edge of the current, hauled us out, and brought us here. Then Shadow waved her hand and this...golden carriage appeared, we hopped in, and then we were brought here. The ride only took what felt like a minute." Novelist said. Then she frowned. "I wonder if gleaming gold would've been a better adjective for the Carrige than 'Shining Gold'." She pulled her book out of her pocket and scribbled notes ferociously. "Oh, and we don't know where Rainbow is." Booksy added.
"Is my wand okay?" Mei asked. "Yes." Booksy said. "But your left wing is torn--didn't you notice? And it'll take a while to mend." Mei sighed. "Then let's get this darn soapbox and confront the Guardians."
Chapter two
~Booksy
"Umm, Icy? Shadow?" Booksy called. "There in a second! I have to just PUT SHADOW IN HER PLACE--I mean talk to her--so we'll be there!" Icy's fluting voice called. Booksy sighed. "Shadow's nice, but Icy is absolutely insane." Novelist murmured. "Novel!" Booksy reprimanded. "I'm just putting it in my book!" Novelist complained. "Two sisters, like Yin and Yang..." Novelist murmured.
"That'll be good for the book." Booksy judged. Novelist frowned. "But I might get sued for adding it... it was in The legend of the Soapbox." Novelist murmured, still writing.
Booksy tossed Mei 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix'. "Now we wait." She said. It didn't take as long of a time as expected--Icy and Shadow appeared about ten minutes after she said that. Icy was glaring at Shadowmoon, who looked slightly pleased.
"We know that you wish to find the Soapbox." Icy chanted, folding her arms in her blue sleeves. "We will give it to you..." Shadowmoon murmured. Booksy's heart leaped. "Only if you bring us the items to fix it with." Icy said. "The Soapbox is broken from use." Shadowmoon chimed. "Bring us the Mask of Pudding's Place, the Inkwell from The Inkwell, the Cricket Signet from Chirp At Cricket, and the Spellbook from Blab At Books." They said, at the same time this time.
Booksy shivered. The contrast in their voices was spooky, and now that Shadow had decided to 'go drama', it was starting to feel...real. "We posess the rest of the items." They chanted.
Novelist raised her hand. "Can I change their names in my book?" "What?" "The names of the items." "Sure." Booksy and Mei couldn't help it. They started giggling. Attention. This is where the 'interactive' part comes in. Pay close attention. Once this is done, guess what the Guardian's clue is. Yes, Icy and Shadowmoon can also guess. "Seek out the Goddess Owl." Icy proclaimed with a sassy hair flip that fueled the fire of Booksy and Mei's giggling.
Who's the Goddess Owl? You guess.
(August 10, 2016 - 7:26 pm)
I think I'm allowed to guess...If not, please ignore this answer.

Athena?

(August 11, 2016 - 6:17 am)
Yay! I'm an MC! First time! Thank you so much! This is so good!
Guradian, are you Leeli?
(August 10, 2016 - 7:24 pm)
No, I am not.
The next story will not come untill the sister's riddle is guessed or solved. Mei's comment isn't up yet, but I'm 99% sure she guessed it correctly.
(August 11, 2016 - 9:21 am)
The Goddess Owl . . . St.Owl!!! Because a saint isn't all that different from a god or goddess!!!!! And St.Owl is an OWL!!!!!
(August 11, 2016 - 7:43 am)
Yup, I agree. Just what I was going to say.
(August 11, 2016 - 11:08 am)
Rainbow, of course you're allowed to guess! But as you're not there right now, it might be sent as a text. Rainbow was correct.............MEI, I THOUGHT YOU LIKED PERCY JACKSON!!!
~Novelist
"Saint Owl!" Mei said excitedly. Novelist ignored her and steadilly tapped on her phone. "Watcha doin'?" Booksy asked as she flipped through Harry Potter. "Texting Rainbow. She's a little mad." Novelist said. Their message went, after Novelist had told Rainbow what happened:
Novelist: So, yeah, that's what happened.
OTR: Next time you guys jump in a river, let me jump in too!
Novelist: Point taken.
OTR: I have an answer to the Puzzle. All you have to do is feed Mei the word 'Percy Jackson' and she'll immediately know.
Novelist: Oh! Kewl, I know what it is!
Novelist looked up from her phone. "Hey, Mei, Percy Jackson." She called teasingly. "ATHENA!" Mei screeched. Icy and Shadowmoon walked up. "Is it time for you to Depart?" Icy asked. "I want some fresh air, and we have to go, sorry." "I would hate to rush you out, are you positive?" Shadowmoon asked, concerned. "Quite." Novelist said, imitating Icy's voice.
Icy only smiled.
The group was ushered to the door, where they stepped out and found--immediate forest. Two narrow, dirt paths cut through them. "This is just like in every story I've read." Booksy murmured. "Crossroads are symbolic..." Novelist paid no attention to Booksy's last comment. "Unlike every other charecter at the crossroads, we have a guide." Novelist said with a grin.
She turned and tugged at the gateway to the Guardian's castle. The Guardians had locked it! "Hey!" she yelled. All she heard was the two sisters harmonizing (Icy high, Shadow low) to a song--"Heading west is the route that's best, if you go east you'll fight a beast," Novelist turned to the crossroad and fished her pockets for her compass. It was gone! She must've lost it in the river!
Standing between the paths was a cross. "Cross for crossroads." Booksy murmured. "Or the fact that it means it's the grave of someone who's died here." Novelist suggested. Booksy gave her a sharp look. It was laid out like this:
Left Path -|- Cross, Right path.
What decision will you make?
(August 11, 2016 - 2:29 pm)
Hmm... I chose left, because a cross is kind of like a compass rose, and east would be left. I don't know.
(August 11, 2016 - 7:54 pm)
Ack! West, west, west! I meen west!
(August 13, 2016 - 1:07 am)
Hmm, I had the slight feeling that it might be Hedwig from HP, and the reason Mei and Booksu were giggling because I've never read it...
Anyhow, I say to go east. What's a beast and what's not is matter of opinion.
(August 11, 2016 - 5:39 pm)
Why is everyone choosing east? They literally said that west was best!
(August 12, 2016 - 6:28 am)
I, the mystical Shadowmoon, cannot help you because I am currently harmonizing with my sister.
(I wish you luck)
Luna says *hyxt* Hike? The CBers might have to.....
