Whoa, whoa, whoa... SOMEBODY STOLE MY NAME!!! Not cool, imposter! *chases out of camp* I realize I was gone for a while, and this cat probably had the interests of StormClan in mind, but... just so you all know... that last post wasn't me.
*comes puffing back* Whew. Okay. The reason for my prolonged absence: The cold I caught healed fairly quickly, but then I caught something worse from my brother, Ragewind, which was so deadly that it lost me a life. That's the second one I've lost now, all in the space of one month. Grr. *snarl*
Okay, on to the mess of cats that all want to be my deputy... *is flattered* You're all so sweet. Since my doppleganger already picked Snowstorm, we'll go with that. Sorry, Firefern and Gingerfur! I was actually going to have Firefern be my deputy, since he (she?) posted first, but that would require me to 'fire' Snowstorm, which would be rude. Firewhisker, are you and Firefern the same person? Or did you both just happen to respond to the same post within one day of each other and have very similar names? *narrows eyes* In any case, Firewhisker, you may be Duskkit's mentor, as he has been patiently waiting for one for such a long time. *ruffles ears*
Last thing: Is it possible for a leader to resign? You know, go back to her old name and give up her extra lives? If so, I am seriously considering it. I am young and inexperienced for a leader, and I've lost two of my lives in the last month... I fear for the strength and welfare of my clan. What should I do? *lashes tail in a fever of indecision*

I think you would have to talk to Starclan about that... In the first series, when Crookedstar is kicked out of his leader position, he still has his nine lives. But to formally, with no bad feelings, resign as leader...
And if you did, then Snowstorm would be leader, and I think that she may already be leader on another post. Or there could be two cats with the name Snow__.
But we really don't want you to go! You may say you're unexperienced, but I think you are a great leader! But it's your choice.

Thanks, guys, love you all. Here's a novel idea: Why doesn't each Clan leader make a separate thread for their Clan, so we dont' have cats from practically every Clan in existence posting and living on the same thread? This one is taking ages to load, and it might fix some of the confusion we've been having over who belongs to whose Clan and kits biting imaginary tails. What say you all? A few leaders have done this already, and I think it's far easier. I have cats deserting my Clan simply because the thread is too crowded. Ugh...
If we can get everyone sorted out and in their own thread, perhaps I won't try to resign after all... besides, I don't think I technically can. StarClan wouldn't allow it, most likely.
This huge thread should be labelled Fourtrees or something...

No, a leader cannot resign. If Starclan approved of your leadership, then you shall lead your Clan until you have lost your last life. I suggest that you ask your medicine cat if Starclan has spoken to them recently.

I have an announcement to make: Iceclan needs more warriors... We have a lot of kits that are ready to be mentored, but no mentors!
It seems like every clan is short on warriors these days... hmmm.
