Several of my favorites are: the Phantom Tollbooth, the Two Princesses of Bamarre, Hatchet, and the Legend of Holly Claus.

Septemis Heap books are really good.  Also try Lily Quench, and the Shadow Children Sequence.

FANTASY IS AWESOME! Another person on this same site asked if anybody knew any good fantasy books and got dozens of answers! Look into it; lots of them I've read and they are great!
