Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Book Club
I know there...

I know there used to be a book club in the Chatterbox, but I don't know if it's still up and running, so I decided to start another one. If it is still alive, then now there are two! If not, then this is a second chance for a Chatterbox book club to exist. :)

The last I heard, there was a group reading Treasure Island. But it was awhile ago (1 or 2 months?) and I don't remember seeing any comments beyond chapter 1 or 2.

I reall don't want to read the Hunger Games because I JUST read them. Let's read something else...

No Passengers Beyond This Point sounds interesting, but I'm not sure if it's my taste... I will read it if everyone else wants to, though! :-)

I think I agree with Elizabeth M. No Passengers Beyond This Point doesn't seem liked the kind of book I'd usually read. I think I'll vote for The Penderwicks. Though, if everyone has already read it, we can do the second or third book, depending on what everyone has read.

I have the first book so I'd prefer to read the second one, but it doesn't really matter!

Looks interesting, and it sounds a little like Coraline. *shudder* Not that Coraline wasn't good or anything, just very creepy... Anyway, I'd really like read the second or third Penderwicks book, since the first was so good!

P.S. Spammy says yyyk. Doesn't really sound like a word, but it's got three Ys in a row!

I'm voting for the second Penderwick's book!

Yes, let's do the second Penderwicks book. It will be easier to get at the library than the third one since it just came out. There's probably a lot of holds on the third one. And why read the third one before the second one, anyways? :-)  That's sort of a joke since I just finished reading the third one and I haven't yet finished the second one. :-)  You see, I put a hold on both the second and third Penderwicks books (since I've already read the first one), but the third one was available first, so I read that one, and I'll read the second one next. :-)  Just so you know, that's not how I usually read books!

Oh, and sorry if I sounded pushy in my first sentence of my last post. I meant that if we chose to read the Penderwicks books, we would probably read the second one since almost everyone has already read the first one. :-)

So we have 2 votes for No Passengers Beyond This Point, 3 votes for the second Penderwicks book, and 0 votes for everything else. How long should we wait for more votes?
