While we sat in the cab I watched the buitifull hills, and beeches roll by. I loved California. I had lived in San Fransisco befor I ran away. I was going home. I laughed at myself quietly. Everybody in the cab looked at me. Except the driver. *What is it?" Mason asked. I looked at them. "Well, I was born in San Fransisco, so, its funny because I was born here, and now I might die here." I said. They looked at me like I was crazy. Which, I was starting to think I was. *And how is that funny?* Areena asked. "Well, my life started here, and it might end here to." I said. I felt weird saying it, but they looked like they understood. I was greatfull for that.
(October 30, 2010 - 7:15 pm)
I leaned over and rested my head on the window, staring at the scene as we past San Simeon. My eyes began to feel droopy, and soon I was asleep. I was dreaming that I was a child, sitting on the bench at a basketball game. I watched at the other team made a basket. "No, you should have made the center run up to the forward, making a screen, then have the guard steal the ball." I muttered to myself. "What did you say?" I heard a voice behind me. I turned and reached for my backpack. I was ready to smack whoever it was with my math book if I had to. "Calm down, general." It was my dad. "Daddy!" I yelled. The coach looked at me, but went back to the game. I wouldn't be a tribute to the team, anyways. I jumped into my dad's arms and we hugged. "I missed you so much! Jenifer wouldn't help me with my extra work, and she would always get mad whenever I would look at your stuff." My dad was an army general, the kind where you would plan out where the troops would go and how much supplies you needed. That kind of stuff. "Oh, sweetie! Jen's a nice person. If you would just give her a chance." I smiled, I was just glad to have him back from a meeting in Pasadena, CA. "It's coming soon, isn't it." Jenifer was going to have a baby, my new "brother". "Yes, he's due any day from now." I started to get depressed. It was so much better with just me and Dad, then he had to marry that wart Jenifer. And now they were having a kid. How horrible could my life get? "Well, on the bright side, we get the whole weekend to ourselves! Jen is visiting her mother, so we get to do whatever you want!" I beamed at my dad, he was just so amazing. "Oo, oo, can we go and see Jim??? Please please please pleeeaaaase?????" I begged. Jim was the person who made the weapons, and he would always spin me around and tell really funny jokes. "Of course! It is the Areena Weekend, is it not?" I ran forward towards the car, dragging his hand with me. In the car we played 20 questions. "Ok, I give up. What is it?" I looked at him, "It's what I imagined mom would be like." He looked back at me and rubbed my knee. "You really do want to know about her." "Yes, it's all I've ever wanted to know." He looked surprised. "Areena Chaconas: Straight A student, strategic planner, only wanting to know about her mother? Wow. Alright, here goes. The day I met your mother was the best day of my life. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was at a meeting, I had just started my job. I got there late, so there was only one spot left. Right next to your mother. I sat down and opened my papers, not noticing the beautiful women sitting next to me. At one point we were to consult with the person next to us. I began to speak to her, looking at my papers. At one point I looked up, and I couldn't breath. She had long, brown hair, she wore no makeup, but her face stood out from a million. She din't wear fancy clothing, and she looked like she din't care about her appearance. She was the most beautiful thing in the world. We talked, and we decided to meet again for dinner. After that, we fell madly in love with each other. And then you came along, and everything was perfect. We were a family. But then she left." He looked really sad about this, like he would never love again. But then Jenifer called. "Sorry, I gotta take this." He put it on speaker, but I tuned out. I was staring up at the sky, wondering if Mom would be proud of me. Soon I woke up from my dream, (that was all a dream by the way) Apparantly, my head landed on Mason's shoulder. I sat up, embarrased. "Where are we?" I asked the driver. "San Francisco! Where do you want me to drop you off?" "Uh, near the Golden Gate Bridge, please." Mason said. We paid her with drachmas, she didn't seem to happy about that, but we left in too much of a hurry that she couldn't argue.

The cab dirver hit a bump, and Areena looked up. I turned. Her head had accidentally fallen on Mason's shoulder. I have to admit I was a bit jealous. Mason was really cuite, but that was a whole other catagory. Besides there was something about Steve and Areena... Oh well. When we got out at the Golden Gate Bridge I breathed in the cilly fall air. It felt good to be back in San Francisco. I shot a glance at Areena. She was looking around. There was a sad expression on her face. I knew something was up. "What's wrong?" I asked. *My dad, Jennifer, and my new "brother"* She put air quotes around the word brother. I gave her a confused look. "Umm, excuse me?" I asked playfully. The pain in her eyes told me not to joke around. "What is it?" I asked again. Soon she was explaining the whole thing about her mom, Athena, her step mom Jennifer, her dad and his job, and her soon to be step brother. I nodded the whole time, trying to sound like I understood, but I just couldn't relate. I never stayed long enough to get to know my mom, and I never knew my dad. I wish I had though. "Well Areena, I'm sorry about that. After this is all over, I hope everything works out for you," I said. She nodded gratefully. I smiled sympathetically at her. We kept walking. I shot constant glances at Areena. *We're here.* I heard Mason's voice. I turned. He was pointing at the bridge. It was just as beauitiful as I remembered. "All right, now we just gotta find the Titans' lair," I said. Like always my hand slid to my sword, and I walked toward the bridge, dodging death by cars about 5 times. Eventually I saw a trapdoor-looking thing on the side of the road. I felt around. There was no latch. I took out my sword. I felt around for a weak spot and found one right in the center of the small door. I hit it with the butt of my sword as hard as I could. Nothing happened. I tried again. Nothing. Once more. Still, nothing. I decided to try something I had not attempted since Chiron had found me. I raised my hand to the sky and closed my eyes. I focused on the clouds and the sky. I pictured thunder rumbling and lightning flashing. Just a few secconds later I heard the rumble of thunder and saw a flash of light. My eyes still closed, I shot my hand down and pictured the lightning striking the small door. Just a moment later I was almost blasted back off my feet. I stood my ground. When I opened my eyes I was swaying. All the energy seemed to have been sucked out of me. I heard someone shout my name. The last thing I remember, Mason caught me before I fell into the street. When I woke up my head was resting on something soft. I looked up and the first thing I saw was Mason tending to a fire. I turned my head and saw Areena. Then I saw Adromida nibbling half-heartedly on a granola bar. I sat up and realized the thing my head had been on was my backpack. Everyone looked at me. *You ok?* Mason asked. I nodded. "Ya," I said sleeply. *Hungry?* Areena offered me a granola bar. I shook my head. *Well you need some food! You've been pasted out for about 6 hours. My eyes widened. 6 hours?!" I asked. She nodded. I took the granola bar and started hungrily on it.
(November 2, 2010 - 7:05 pm)
I left everyone else eating and walked towards the back of the cave. Taking out my sword, I began to train against the wall of the cave thing. Suddenly, I felt a door, like a trap door. I started slashing at it, but it wouldn't budge. I tried again. Nothing. I muttered ancient Greek and it started to fidgit. It started jiggling even more, and soon a hound the size of one of those smart cars burst out from the door. "Guys, you might want to see this!" I said, almost yelled. "What?" Sky said sleepily, but her eyes opened wide when she saw the hound. "Swords ready?" Mason asked. The girls all agreed. I thought that this moment needed a bit more awesomeness to it, so I yelled, "For the gods!" They repeated and we charged. In a few slashes it was dead. I began to examine the door, my gray eyes storming with confusion. I found a delta on the door, and pushed on it. The figure began to glow, and we could hear gears turning. "Daedalus's symbol," I muttered. "I think we found the labyrinth!"
(November 4, 2010 - 9:14 pm)
Sky-
"Th-the labyrinth?" I asked, scared out of my mind. I didn't know a lot about the labyrinth, but I did know that if you got lost in there, there was NO getting out. I looked at Mason. He looked afraid to, he tried to hide it, but I could tell. Then I looked at Areena. Our eyes were both gray, mine had just turned that stormy color because I was so scared. "Um, Areena, I don't think thats a great place to go." I said. She looked at me sympatheticaly. "I know, but we've gatta go in there." "Why?" I asked. Realasation flew into Mason's eyes. "I get it! The entrance to the titans lair is in the labyrinth! Thats why we found it! There was a reason why you were able to open the dore, and why Areena found the symbol!" I looked at Mason like he was crazy, but I knew he was rite. "All rite, well if we gatta go in there, then lets go!" I walked in first, Areena behind me, then Mason, then Adromida. When we got to the actual labyrinth, well, I can't really describe it. It was huge, for one. Well here, imagine a maze. A leafy, stony, brick filled maze. Then double that size by 20, add skulls, skeletons, old nives, and swords, then add in the over-powering stench of about 20 gazilion monsters, and you've got the labyrinth. Wonderfull rite? "Wow." Areena ghasped, her voice shaking. I was shaking from fear, but I wouldn't admit it. ""A-Areena?" "Yea?" "You've got the brains, do you know how to get outa here? Or possibly to the lair?" I asked. "Or possibly a hot dog stand?" Mason asked. I looked at him. "What? I'm hungry." He said. I rolled my eyes. I heard a low rumble I looked around. Then I saw it. A 50 foot tall cyclops. We all screamed. Wow, so manly for the kids of the gods. We pulled out our swords. Then the cyclops grabed me. It lifted me up, I screamed. I stabed the thing in the hand, then i droped my sword. "Oh come on!" I yelled. The cyclops was obiously getting annoyed with me, because he shook me so hard I felt like I was ganna be sick. "Sky! Stay calm!" Areena yelled. I looked at her, my eyes narrowed. "My mother hates me." THe cyclops broke into tears, and shook me harder. "Ya sure! Stay calm. Kinda hard when an emotionly disturbed cyclops is trying to kill you!!!!" I yelled. Areena rolled her eyes. Mason threw his sowrd and it hit the cyclops in his only eye. It droped me, and I screamed. Falling feels strange. Its like being pushed threw water, a lot of water. And then you don't stop. You just keep going, and going, and going. I was screaming, really loud. It was making me crazy. I closed my eyes, still screaming. Then I stoped. I opened my eyes. Mason had caught me. I was blushing madly. "Thanks." I said. Jumping out, and brushing myself off. "Any time." He said, slightly blushing to. "Areena pointed up. "Uh guys, you can finish your emotional problems later, rite now we got trouble." I opened my mouth to argue, but the angry roar told me that could wait. I pulled out my sword and turned around.
(November 5, 2010 - 9:32 pm)
After the emotionally disturbed cyclops, we heard a grumble. This wasn't a normal dog grr like grumble, this grumble was like that of a giant bear, the volume of a pumped-up football crowd times 50. It echoed. "Seriously?" Andromida yelled up to the gods. "Honestly?" I thought to myself, a million possibilities running through my head. Everything I had learned from the myths, Chiron, and from instinct. Praying to Athena, I suddenly felt an urge to do something. Taking my sword, I ran towards the wall, muttered something, slashed at it, and ran towards the opposite and did the same. The others stared at me, but I knew what I was doing. "If I run towards one wall and it doesn't make an echo, then there's no secret passage behind it. If it's hollow sounding, then if I push on a few certain bricks then it will open and we can have our final decision." I heard an echo, pushed on some bricks. Out opened a wall. And guess what? With our luck, we got the minotaur standing behind it, sniffing his pits and fixing his mega ugly pants. "Any chance that you can close that door, huh Areena?" Andromeda asked. "Nope. Negative on that one." We screamed and started running. I know. 4 kids from the most divine immortals that ever lived, and we're running like we saw a ghost. Not what you would expect. We were turning corners left to right, and soon we ran into a dead end. Literally. I think that a few of Mason's teeth fell out. The bull-dude came towards us. "So, what do we do now?" We asked each other. "Well, I guess we fight it!" We all charged, the only manly thing we did that day. Sky and Mason slashed at its legs and Andromeda ran through his legs and began hitting his back. I jumped onto his arm and began getting at his head. Soon it was dead. "So, if only we had some bread we could have some hot dogs?" We looked at the blood and dust from the monster.
(November 7, 2010 - 9:19 pm)
Sky-
"Well, the day we get outa this death trap, is the day I'll be happy!" I said. The minotaur had shocked all of us. I was simply annoyed now. There had to be something in here that was intelligent. We walked for a long time; nothing bothered us. I kept looking over my shoulder. I felt like something, or someone, was watching us. It made me shiver. I looked up. That's when I saw it. I was so angry, I thought I was going to explode. Cameras. Cameras were on all the walls and celings. We were being watched, but by the gods, not monsters. I tapped Areena's shoulder. She looked back at me. *Ya?* I pointed up. "The gods are watching us." She rolled her eyes. *That's great Sky, I know.* "No! Not good watching like, 'Hey kids! You're doing a fine job!' but watching as in a comedy show for the gods. Not just for the gods, but for Mount Olympus," I said. She looked like she still didn't believe me. I grabbed her shoulder and pointed up. "See those cameras? Hesphtus put them there. Or maybe Dinosterous, but the point is they're there so they can give Olympus a live video feed of us. They're making a comedy out of us, Areena, I know it," I said sadly. She had noticed the cameras and nodded. *Is this a bad thing?* she asked. "Yes! Our parents are watching us like little kids watch Elmo! They're turning our survival in this stupid maze a joke. Can't you see?" I asked. She nodded, and I thought I saw her eyes water. *Can't believe them!* Mason scoffed behind us. We both looked at him. *The cameras! Mount Olympus is turning us into some kind of comedy!* he shouted. I nodded. "I already figured it out. And if they are watching then I've got just one thing to say: The gods are annoying!" Adromida's eyes shot toward me. *Are you sure that's a good idea?* she asked. I nodded. "Of course! Why do the gods have to act like they're better than us? Why don't the minor gods get any credit? Why do the gods act like we're useless until they need us to do their dirty work?" I asked. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and I grinned. "That's all I have to say," I said. When I finished, my friends were looking at me like I'd just accepted an invitation to my death, that I didn't have to go to. I simply walked along like it was nothing. My strayr used to always say that I had a habit of ticking off the gods.
(November 8, 2010 - 5:23 pm)
I walked the rest of the guys walk off. I had to be crazy, which I think I was. Walking up to one of the many cameras, I jumped up and held on. It didn't budge. Taking out a screwdriver Steve had given me, I unscrewed a bolt. Out came a spider. "SPIDER!!" I cursed, flailed my arms around, and followed my friends. "Crazy...HUGE...Out...to...get...me..." By then I had fainted from fright. "What, what's out to get you?" Just then the spider walked down the passage. Mason stepped on it. I hugged him with joy, it was dead :). I panted and sat down. "Well that was a bit of some exagguration." Sky clapped her hands as if I had put on a play. "No." I was mad at them, but I couldn't blaim them. Arachne wasn't a well known myth. "You know, Arachne? And Athena, my mom, with the weaving?" They stared at me, so I told them to sit down and I told them the story.
(November 9, 2010 - 9:39 am)
Sky-
The story about Athena and the spiders was amazeing. I thought that after that I would have been scared of spiders to. As Areena told the story I got an idea. A stupid one yea, but an idea. "Areena, not to cut into your story, but how do you think telling this story infront of the Olympian counsil is making Athena feel?" I asked. Areena thought about it a bit, but I knew what the awnser was. *Humiliated. Angry. Sad. Annoyed. One of those.* She said. I nodded. Well since Olympis is treating us like a reality tv show, and humiliating us infront of our parents, why don't we humiliate them by telling all the myths we know about them that would make anyone ashamed?" I asked. Yes, a stupid idea. Not to mention the gods were watching us, but it just seamed like the right thing to do. Slowly Areena nodded. Mason turned to me, *Sky, had anyone ever told you that you have a major habit of ticking off the gods?* He asked. I blushed. "Yes." I admited. He didn't seam surprised. *Figures.* Adromida said. I heard a rumble behind us, but not like a monster, like a human. But the only humans capable of finding the labarinth were demi-gods. We all spun around to see a girl running towrd us with 6 feet of wicked black iron. The sword had a black leather hilt, and around the edges it was crystal bronze. The blade scared me to death. I think that was its goal to. She came at us yelling. We all jumped to the side, and ducked. I pulled out my sword and blocked her every move. At one point she had me pinned to the wall. I probubly would have died if Mason had not come up from behind and tried to slash. But the girl was to quick for him. She rolled outa the way, and his sword almost hit me. Areena, and Adromida were next. They slashed and dodged, and rolled, but they couldn't pin her. Eventualy Mason got his sword un-stuck from the wall with my help, and we charged at her to. All of us together could barly pin her, but eventualy all of our swords were pointed at her neck. "Who are you?" I asked. *My name is RJ, RJ Jones. My mother is Nyx.* She said. "Um, who?" I asked. I could tell me not knowing teribly affended her. *I wouldn't expect you to know daughter of Zeus! No one cares about Nyx! Even though she is one of the most powerful olympians!* She shouted. I scratched my head confused. I was about to make a really smart comment like, 'who's Nyx again?' when Areena steped in to save the day. *Nyx is goddess of night and shadows.* RJ nodded. Now I began to realise how that would be true. Her eyes were the darkest gray you could imagine. Her hair was long, black, and curly towrd the bottum. Her skin was pale, and her clothes were black. Like her shirt was black, and she had a black demi-lavato jacket on and her jeans were dark blue. Her nikee sneakers were also black. She looked like night. I also noticed that she looked a lot like Nico DiAngelo, son of Hades. I wonder if that was the theme with those guys.
(November 10, 2010 - 7:27 am)
I introduced myself to RJ. It was weird. She seemed to emit darkness, like all of a sudden the room was 10 times darker.
(November 10, 2010 - 7:33 pm)
Sky-
We were all looking at RJ. I bet she felt pretty weird. First she fights us, and we fight back, then we don't know who Nyx her mother is, then were staring at her like she's a nutter. She clicked the butt of her sword, and it turned into a knife. She turned to look at us. *I know about the prophecy children of the gods. I also know that a daughter of Nyx is in it. Me. And when you need the night, I'll be back. But until then, good luck demi-gods.* And with that she melted into the night, leaving with a small night breeze. *What was that?* Mason asked. I shook my head. "No idea. The prophecy doesn't say anything about a daughter of Nyx! And she sounds WAY older than she looks," I said. *Maybe she did something, and Zeus thanked her for it, and made her her mother's servant. Her messenger maybe. Maby Nyx wants to help us?* Andromida wondered out loud. "But that's impossible! Nyx made an oath that says she will NEVER have any children with a mortal!" I shouted. This made NO sense! Was RJ the product of a broken 3,000-year-old oath? *This is wrong. RJ shouldn't be alive,* Areena said. We all nodded in agreement.

TOP! TOP! TOP! TOP! TO THE TOP LITTLE THREAD!
(November 14, 2010 - 9:28 am)
I want to make another character, so that if someone else joins and they have to stay at camp, then they won't be the only one at camp.
Name: Samantha. If you don't call her anything other than Sam then she might punch you.
Description: Eyes: Murky green Hair: Wavy brown Height: 5ft 2in Other: light tan, black clothing
Parents: Achelous (river god)
Age: 13
Sam/
I trudged up the hill and touched Thalia's pine. It was one of my favorite stories. She was out there somewhere, being a hunter. So was Percy Jackson. He was there, one of the greatest heroes of our century. I unsheathed my sword and stuck it in the ground, right inside the borders. I counted the marks. There were seven. Seven years I had been there. And seven quests I have risked my life for the single place that kept Half-Bloods safe. Chiron trotted up. "Ah, Samantha! You have returned for the summer." I felt anger welling up, but I ignored it. Chiron was my second dad, after Achelous. I threw my bags down the hill and ran after them. I kicked them towards the Poseidon cabin. It was the closet they could get, without Hermes. There was a little corner with a separate bunk, with a few offerings towards Achelous. I always loved sleeping next to the bunk of Percy Jackson. It was weird, he was a legend, even when he wasn't here people acknowledged him. I fell onto my bunk and sat there. Suddenly there was a knock. "Who is it?" I asked, leaning towards my bow. A satyr that I didn't know stood at the door, along with a few campers from an assortment of cabins. "What?" I asked. "You need to come." I shoved some armor on and ran outside.
(November 15, 2010 - 10:59 pm)
OK, I guess RJ should go to camp half-blood then.
Parents: Her mother is Nyx, goddess of the night and its darkness, and her father is a dentist in LA called Jim Winnek
Name: RaeJane (Really call her RaeJane, and she will punch you. She prefers RJ) Winnek
Hair: Long black that gets a little bit curly towrd the bottum
Eyes: So dark gray they're almost black
Skin: Pale, like she stays up all night and hasn't seen the light of day for a while
Other: Very athletic. Runs a lot. Is great with her weapon
Weapon: A necklace with a pendant at the bottum, that had a star in the center. The pendant is black and the star is gold. Push the center and it turns into a black iron sword with a black leather handle. If she says knife, it turns into a black iron knife with a black leather handle
Special Marks: A scar on her left cheek a fury gave her after she intruded the underworld trying to speak with Hades.
RJ-
I sat at the big house with Chiron. I was about 13 but unlike other demi-gods I had met my mother, and she had told me that night was a mysterious thing, that I needed to act that way. I would be 14 soon, and I was sick of listning to her go on and on about acting like a prophocey. Being mysterious and hard to figure out. I heard a few kids begin to round others up. They were all wearing armor. I jumped up on the railing and watched them do it. Eventualy the y came over to me. "You need to come." The one in the front said. "Sory dude, but I don't listen to guys with feathers on their heads." It was true. The Hermese cabin had put feathers on most everybodys helmets. The guy didn't seam happy to hear that. "Come on daughter of Nyx." He said. That was odd, campers here usualy didn't talk like that. Especialy to me. They would never talk to me like that. They had all heard a story about Nyx driving some guy insane because he upset her when she was just 2 decades old. They were afraid I was going to do that to them. Obiously not now. I looked around the crowd. Just about ever camper in camp half-blood was there. Including Sam. She was an old- timer like me, and both our parents were minor gods so we were great friends. I looked at her. She raised her shoulders like she didn't know. "Why?" I asked. The guy in the front looked rite at me. I felt burning horrible images run throught my mind. That kid wasn't a kid. He was Ares, god of war. I fell to the ground and muttered to Chiron. "Ares." I grabbed my necklace, turned it into a sword and looked at Ares. Concintrateing anywhere BUT his eyes. They could drvie you mad by just looking at them slightly. I looked at Chiron. He was getting up. He looked pritty funny in his party ponie t-shirt with his fluffy horse behind stagering to stand up. "Ares, why are you here?" He asked.
(I think we should swich on and off from the first ones we did: Areena, Sky, Mason, and Adromida, to the second ones: RJ, and Sam. What do you think? That way we get to do both RP's)
(November 16, 2010 - 7:26 am)
(Ya, that's a good idea!)
Areena:
I ran through the Labyrinth. It was so confusing, the walls would change, they would disappear, and they were as old as ever. I decided to try and get to Daedalus' workshop. He made the maze, so he knew how to get out. We walked into a room that had a bridge towards the center of the building. Under the bridge was full of lava. "Hephaestus' forge!" I whispered. I ran towards the center. Sitting at a drafting bench was a large man. He was drawing some blueprints far an automaton. There were sparks in his beard. I don't think that he noticed me. "Not to butt in, but you should give it more room in the knee bend, in case it needs to run, or if it is in a tight space." He stood up, and only then did I realize that I had made the biggest mistake in my life. Hephaestus stood up and his eyes glared angry red. "Who are you?" he bellowed, and then Sky, Andromeda, and Mason ran forward, but skidded back when they saw Hephaestus. "Ah, a team of four on a quest of the Labyrinth." "Uh, Lord Hephaestus. Actually we're lost," Mason stammered. "Of course. Daedalus has designed a masterpiece. Yet I cannot tell you how to get out. My father disagrees, and even I don't even know how to get out. Just try your hardest. And you, daughter of Athena, my sons and daughters will assist you with further inventions. You're right, he does need more knee room. He went back towards the drafting table and began to erase and draw again.
Sam:
I took out my bow. I admit, I have two weapons. I'm better at close combat, but I'll use a bow if I have to. "Ares. What are you doing here?" RJ tried to signal me to shut up, but anger began to dwell inside of me. I was mad at everything. My mom not letting me go to the mall. My dad never actually caring for me since now. My teachers for giving me F's just for swatting flies instead of doing tests. Those stupid commercials that have nothing to do with the TV show. I wanted punch this dude. He was all the things that I hated. And he just laughed. "What are you doing here?" I repeated. "Oh, I'm not here to mess with you. Yet. I'm here to deliver my daughter. Here's your new family, Jenifer." He stepped to the side and showed a young girl who looked about nine or ten. But don't let her age fool you. She looked like a pro wrestler, with burns on her hands. She had greasy light brown hair, a Hello-Kitty band-aid on her chin, with an army jacket and a ridiculously sharp army knife on her side. She glared at me like I was fresh meat. I was ready to charge, except her daddy was standing right next to her.
(November 16, 2010 - 9:19 pm)
