yeah dino comics are amazing! They're slightly depressing and deal with serious topics but in such a cynical and hilariously funny way that somehow works really well with whatever twisted sense of humor I have. (Jessica is awesome yes seriously where do I get sunglasses like that) I have the books, I haven't really read them online but I think they're pretty much the same content. (have you noticed that some of the dinos are pride flags? I think there's a lesbian one and a regular rainbow one and maybe an enby one?)

and tysm for all that (for clarification the post after Ch. 5 lol) I had a rough day but that made it slightly better <33

it's impressive that your entire house is still awake at three am?? I have to sneak my computer into my room (horrible life choices ikkkk) after like 10:30 so whenever I stay up I'm either having a horrible day and need distraction or am reading or both lol

I'd lecture you about healthy sleep habits, except I'm currently typing this at around 1 a.m., so I think my point'd be a bit lost. Still! Sleep! Sleep is good! I made one of my friends a presentation on why she needed to sleep more and why that'd give her more time to do things she wanted to do (it included numerous calculations including estimated date of death, amount of football fields of Dante's Inferno [laid out in a tessalation] she could read, number of hours she could spend hugging a Blahaj, and how much stress this would cause on a hypothetical thirty year old man named Jeff, who is me for the sake of the argument). It was glorious~

I think I read the first book in the York trilogy a few years ago but wasn't hooked enough for the others. All I remember was that the covers are super cool! I've also ofc read Ender's Game (from your post on the book rec thingy), as well as the second and the third in the series and Ender's Shadow (the one from Bean's perspective). The second and third were super weird—basically Ender goes to another planet and raises pigs and then the third one introduces another world with genetically induced hyperintelligence and OCD and then the stories intersect (ok that's a total oversimplification and sounds really weird but it also kind of makes sense if you read the books I swear)

It's cool you're reading Way of Kings! I originally got recommended it by a teacher who told me there was a line (I think somewhere in the 1100s pages) that made him cry every time he read it. I didn't have any emotional attachment to it but let me know if you notice something specific there, I'm curious. It's a really good book in terms of worldbuilding but say goodbye to all your reading drive and free time (what minimal inventory you currently have) and ofc! anytime you want more book recs lmk :DD

also if you like HPMOR, I'd recommend UNSONG by Scott Alexander. It gives similar vibes and is similarly wacky (maybe even more) but it's also a religious satire of kabbalistic Judaism (America monetizes names of God, Henry Kissinger enlists he-double-hockey-sticks to help fight the Soviet Union, the Archangel Uriel struggles to restart New Zealand from a backup copy to fix continental drift, etc), so it's kind of a niche thing to enjoy and if that's not for you (idk if you're religious or anything too). Seriously though, it's ridiculous and a guaranteed waste of time :)
