Would You Rather: Book Edition
On this thread...
On this thread we can ask each other book-related would you rather questions!
I'll start:
Would you rather spend a day with Harry Potter or Percy Jackson?

@Sabine, I definitely agree!!

I'd personally love to spend a day with Harry Potter, and for the second question, probably a book where the writer doesn't know the difference between they're, there, and their. It would get on my nerves but way less than if a page was missing!

Ummmm... PERCY JACKSON! I am anti Harry Potter thanks to predictable plots and the cursed child on broadway. (Thanks for being the worst dad ever and shattering remaining respect Harry!) And I would actually prefer the second although I would not be happy and would write a bad review of the publishers

Would you rather have your entire class at school read your favorite book or have a sequel to your favorite book written? If it's a series your class would read the first book or there would be another book at the end of the series.

Oooh, good one.
I was about to say have my entire class read my favorite book but then I realized I'm homeschooled XD. For this question I'll just pretend I go to public school.
Right now my favorite book is a tie between "The Mysterious Benedict Society" and "The Books of Bayern". Trenton Lee Stewart (author of TMBS), wrote a sequel and it was not great, so I'd rather have everyone in my imaginary classroom read that series except for the sequel.

*remembered, not realized

Sequel!!! I love having new reading material :)
(March 19, 2021 - 9:52 pm)
Hmm... my whole class read my favorite book (also pretending I go to public school)
Is Floor 19 a Louis Sachar reference?
Twiga says <tinee> what's tiny?

Well I'm homeschooled too, but even if I did go to school I think I'd pick the sequel. Because most of the time I don't have too much trouble getting my friends to read stuff, and I always love getting more of a story.

Homeschool? That sounds cool! I go to public school, and I've always wondered what it would be like to be homeschooled.
Also, I would rather have a sequel to my favorite book!! That's just because I'm not sure if the kids in my classes would like the kind of books I read XD. I also read a lot of books that are geared toward girls/women/females.
Here's another one:
Would you rather have dinner with your favorite author or dinner with your favorite character?
(March 21, 2021 - 12:42 pm)
Ahhhh I can't decide! As much as I would LOVE to have dinner with any of my favorite fictional characters, I would literally die just to have an hour of conversation with J.R.R. Tolkien (which will never happen, 'cause he's dead T.T).
(March 21, 2021 - 9:19 pm)
Character!
Because you never know, you may get the chance to meet your favorite author someday anyways. Meeting your favorite character is a once in a lifetime thing.
(March 22, 2021 - 11:51 am)
Hmmmmm..... I'd say character, becauce, man, I wanna meet Kinkajou (from Wings Of Fire) SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I REALLY like books that are more or less geared toward females!
(September 15, 2021 - 3:58 pm)
1) Percy Jackson
2) I would rather read a book with a page missing because the there/their/they're mess ups would probably confuse me a ton.
3) I would rather a sequel to you of my favorites.
(March 21, 2021 - 4:21 pm)
1. Harry Potter. Definitely. Though he probably wouldn't be my first choice of a book character to hang out with, even though they're my favorite books, because most likely some sort of injury or detention would be sustained along the way. xD
2. Yikes that's hard...I feel like if I read a book with a million grammatical errors I would lose respect for it, which would be annoying. So maybe the page?
3. Definitely the sequel!
4. The character. For one thing the character would be a kid, so it'd be more fun.
My question is: would you rather be a really famous author but only because your books are easy to read and popular, or a very un-famous author but your books are amazing? I would choose the second.
