OK so these never really happened on the CB and I haven't been active recently, but if anyone wanted to join me in a readathon starting 8:30 PST, I'm ready!
A readathon is where one tries to read an obnoxious amount IN A small amount of time. Sleep is optional but recommended.

Agh, sorry! How about midnight EST of the eleventh until midnight of the twelfth? I'm in PST, but it might be easier just to do EST so y'all over there don't have to wait till like 3 am?

Slept through the first seven hours, but just now finished 277 pages and the latter two thirds of one book. On to the next, also a third finished, for 193 pages! Our goal is a thousand pages total again, right?

Had to take a break for lunch, but finished that book. Hmm, now I have a choice: A very dense book, a rather boring book, or some other book that may take a while for me to decide on? I think perhaps the latter.
Page count is 470, so that's 530 left. That should be doable. By ten tonight, and if not, I'll still have two hours at that point.

Yeahhh I probably won't make my goal for this round. . . trying to drag myself through a 700 page history book required for school. . .

I'm on page 110 of Don't Know Much About History (ughhhh it's actually okay, but I think being forced to read it has "dulled its charm") and I'm also on page 157 of Madness Rules the Hour

Just finished another 298 pages, an entire book. Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones. It's pretty good, and I liked the ending, which if I may, is high praise. I prefer Howl's Moving Castle overall, although the ending of that one wasn't as satisfying. I think I'll switch authors for a bit, although Diana is amazing.
That brings my total up to 768, with about five hours to go. I hope I can make it.

I forgot to set a goal, but I finished a book (Every Exquisite Thing) and I'm rereading Nimona (a graphic novel) for about the 5th time, and after that I'm going to reread the first Lumberjanes Issues.

And now I've completed the 212 pages of Flipped. I love that book. That makes my total 980. Wow, an hour and a half and only twenty pages to go! I'm actually going to make it!

I did it! I'm done! And with an hour left to spare! I even got three pages extra! I'm so happy, I did it!
