I'll join in. Tom Bombadil is one of my favorite minor characters in LoTR. He's at the same time very simple, and very complicated. He's one of the most wise, and the most carefree. I love how the ring has no power over him, and how he can protect the Hobbits from the creatures in the forest. I can't resist answering your earlier question about where in Middle Earth I would live. I just have to say the Shire. Gondor and Rivendell and Lorian and Brie are all great, but I love the Shire. I love the simple but good natured hobbits. I love the quirks and stunborness, the banter and gossip, the Sack-Ville Bagginses vs The Brandybucks and the Tooks.

I love Tolkien. You can name any book by Tolkien and I have read it. I have a website that I made and it's an encyclopedia. It's not done yet, just because it takes a while to document all of middle earth in one place, and because of sports and school right now... But, I LOVE TOLKIEN!!!!!!

I agree with you completely about Bombadil-- most people are annoyed by him, it seems :(
And I also agree with you about the Shire. It's part of the reason why I would like to live in Rivendell-- I'd be relatively close to the Hobbits! :)
