@N.B.: Prongs, Moony, Wormtail, and Padfoot, i.e., James, Lupin, Pettigrew, and Sirius. Presumably called so because of their transformations: a stag, a werewolf, a rat, and a large black dog, respectively.
@Everinne: Harry's was Ron (friend), Krum's was Hermione (girlfriend), Cedric's was Cho (girlfriend), and Fleur's was Gabrielle (little sis).
Hmmm. What was in the glove compartment of the *deep loud voice* Amazing Flying Ford Angila *returns to normal voice* when Harry and Ron flew it to Hogwarts?

Darn, I don't remember what was in the glove compartment either.
I've always found the "jinx" on the dEfense Against Dark Arts job amusing.
Name all the Defense Against Dark Arts teachers (not from Book Seven) and why they lasted only a year.

I don't remember what was in the glove compartment, but the reason the Defense Against the Dark Arts post was jinxed is that Voldemort applied for the job, but was rejected by Dumbledore. Enraged, he jinxed it. The professors were:
1st: Professor Quirrell (Is that spelled right?). He turned out to be one of Voldemort's helpers.
2nd: Professor Gilderoy Lockhart. He lost his memory.
3rd: Professor Remus Lupin. He was discovered to be a werewolf.
4th: Professor Alastor "Mad-eye" Moody (impersonated by Barty Crouch Jr.). Crouch was Kissed by a dementor, and Moody was saved.
5th: Professor Dolores Umbridge. She ran away after being stampeded by a herd of centaurs. :)
6th: Professor Severus Snape. He was promoted to Headmaster.

You aren't supposed to post a new question before answering the previous one!!!! It really rubs me the wrong way!!!!
And for good measure, they were Quirrell (died serving MOLDemort), Lockhart (was a vain, incompetent jerk whose Memory Charm backfired and gave him amnesia), Lupin (left so he wouldn't endanger students due to his *cough cough* condition *coughcoughwhichwaswerewolfismcoughcough*), um... Mad-Eye Moody (was an impostor), um... ARRGGHHHH I DONT REALLY LIKE BOOK FIVE AS MUCH... um... Umbridge? Idk... oh, yes, it was her, ARRRGH FORGOT WHY SHE LEFT... Then Snape. Became principal.

2. An addendum, the last year the DaDA professor is Amycus Carrow, who teaches students to use dark curses. "He teaches what used to be Defense against the Dark Arts, except now it's just the Dark Arts." LOL Neville.

I think it's awesome what you're doing, forming a Harry Potter Club and a trivia center. I have a lot of fun doing it. J. K. Rowling is a miracle worker, and I LOVE her books!
Just a bit about my love of Harry Potter:
My favorite characters are Hermione and Harry (I have a bit of a crush on him).
Though it's hard to pick favorite books in the series, if you put me under a Cruciatus Curse and demanded me to tell you, I'd have to say Order of the Phoenix, Goblet of Fire, and if I had to name a third, The Deathly Hallows.
I REALLY wish it were real.

Horace Slughorn never had the defence against the dark arts job. Professor Merrythought retired when Voldemort wanted it.
Also, the DADA teachers were Quirilius Quirell, Gilderoy Lockhart, Remus Lupin, Bartemius Crouch Jr., Dolores Jane Umbridge, Severus Snape, and
ALECTO CARROW.
