I checked out...
I checked out the one for Warriors, and it looked fun, although I know nothing about Warriors. So, do any of you HP fans out there want to start one?

I rushed towards the wall, gaining startled looks from passing Muggles.
Good. I wasn't late. I looked around, waving to some friends, then stiffened as I spotted the Selywyn girl. We had never been friends, but our enmity had been carved in stone the day of our fight over the treatment of Muggle-borns. I had won, casting a jinx of my own invention that paralizes the victim. I glared at her, then went to say hello to my friends and cousins, the Potters and the Weasleys. As we boarded the Hogwarts express, Aqua Quindal grabbed my arm. Her eyes were worried as she looked down at me." Hazel," she said, " I know that you and Belinda Selwyn are sworn enemies, but be careful. Her parents were strong supporters of the Dark Lord, and they would feel no shame in killing any relative of the Potters. Make sure you remember that." " Sure", I said, shrugging. I would have ignored it, but Aqua's face betrayed her worries, and I stopped. " You really mean it, don't you?", I said, looking at her carefully. " Yes.", she replied, " You really need to be careful." I decided that I would try, at least untill I knew some better jinxes.

Does that work?
TNO, I'm assuming that you're a typical Slytherin. And Aqua, I'm sorry if you didn't want to be like that, we can ignore that last part if you don't like it.
More information about me:
Appearance: very slender and rather small for my age, long dark hair, about waist legnth, glasses.
Details: likes to read, sees no difference in pure-blood or Muggle-born, always wears a blue, teardrop shaped pendant on a silver chain, with the words "Wisdom is man's wealth, but the true treasure is friendship." inscribed upon it. If you haven't noticed by now, I am VERY smart and athletic as well.

Okay, so we're at the train station? All right...
I played with my old robe. Too bad Mum couldn't afford a cleaner one; it might've made more people come to me. It was as though someone had jinxed me and I couldn't make friends. I'm Muggle-born, but even in Muggle school I couldn't make friends. The teachers kept sending me home after I accidentally levitated the desk of the boy next to me and did all sorts of magic things.
And there were those Potter boys. Many of the kids here who came from Wizarding families knew all about their father and a war that had happened some nineteen years previously, but I knew all I needed to know: James and Albus Severus were like celebrities.
But to my surprise, the crowd was breaking away and James was leaving his brother's side. There was no one by him, and I moved tentatively over.
"Hi," I said. "First year?" DUHHH went off in my brain. Of course he was a first year. I hadn't seen him before!!! But there was no charm to take back those words.
He didn't seem offended. "Yeah. You?"
"No, second."
"Oh. Are there really thestrals, then? My brother James was telling me - "
"What are thestrals?" I asked. The word was unfamiliar.
"They're horses you can only see if you've seen death." His eyes grew wide. "I haven't, but my dad has, and -"
Just then a Slytherin prefect and her friends came walking by. A first-year boy hurried after them. He stepped on Albus Severus' foot just so much that it could hurt, but also look like an an accident, then rushed by.
"Scorpius," muttered Albus under his breath.
"Who?" I asked.
"Scorpius Malfoy. My uncle Ron and my dad hate his dad."
The Slytherin prefect and her friends stopped in front of us at that moment. "You mean Mr. Malfoy?" she asked.
(March 7, 2009 - 6:23 pm)
((@Jenni: yeah, typical pureblood bigot Slytherin. *nodnod*))
I folded my arms, taking in the second year and Albus. Drusilla hero-worshipped Draco Malfoy.
Albus looked a little nervous. He was small and scrawny where Drusilla was squarish and tall. She was also a fifth year, and had no qualms about jinxing him into a jelly. Oliver and I exchanged glances behind Drusilla's back.
"Yes," whispered Albus.
Drusilla's eyes hardened as she zeroed in on her target. "Watch your step, boy."
Albus seemed to collapse in on himself and he made a few unintelligible noises that might have been an apology. I snorted in spite of myself.
"Speak up, boy," I told him with a well-practiced sneer. "Your namesake may have been a Muggle-loving loser but at least he never mumbled."
Oliver snickered, and a faint smile ghosted over Drusilla's face.
The young boy gulped. "I said, you mean the trick staircases?" His voice was quiet, but firm. A defiant glint glowed from his green eyes. It was obvious he was mocking us. I felt a grudging admiration for the tiny boy, but Drusilla drew a sharp breath and jerked back as if she'd been hit. For a moment I thought she was going to slap him.
James stalked up to us then, clearly enraged. "Are you picking on my brother?" he demanded hotly. The other second-year, a Hufflepuff I think, looked absolutely terrified to be caught in between us.
"Not at all," I responded as cordially I could manage. "Merely giving him the welcome he deserves."
James just glared.

Hey, maybe someone should become Albus Severus since he's becoming such a character.
(March 8, 2009 - 5:29 pm)
Fun!
Name: Sally Baldwin
House: Gryfindor
Year/age: 12, 2nd year
Looks: Short, dirty blonde hair, gray eyes, short and slender (such a better word than skinny) not pale or tan, pointy nose and a smattering of freckles across cheeks.
Likes: Quiditch (should she play or not?), making up random spells and seeing what happens, DADA, and always has a hobby that switches constantly.
Wand: 12.5 inches, unicorn.
Related too: no one of much importance
Classes: DADA, Herbology, Transfiguration, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, and Ancient Runes.
(March 7, 2009 - 6:37 pm)
((Electives can only be taken by third year + students (and are picked in the end of the second year). Also, core classes that must be taken through fifth year are Astronomy, Charm, DADA, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions, and Transfiguration. *sorry nitpick*
So you can raise a year or forgo the electives for now. And play Quidditch, it'll be fun! You could be a chaser and have a special enmity for Oliver. *nodnod*
Incidentally, I just now noticed that my soon-to-be Slytherin keeper has the same name as the Griffindor keeper that introduced Harry to the game. *oops* Note that it's entirely unintentional.))
(March 8, 2009 - 2:14 am)
Oops, my bad. K, so don't look at all the classes that aren't supposed to be there. Guess I forgot some science my last reading of HP. *Grins guiltily.*
(March 8, 2009 - 3:33 pm)
"Janie, get off!" I wailed anxiously as I shook my younger sister off of my leg. I still needed to loose my parents and manage to slip onto the train unnoticed. If I could find it, which was proving to be quite a feat.
"Ricky, where did Keira get to now? We'll miss the train to Aunt Carrie's if she doesn't scootch." I heard my mother's gravelly voice grate out from somewhere behind me. Now or never, I thought, looking around wildly.
"Yo, mudblood," a tall blond boy snarled, his lip curled back in distaste. "You're gonna walk into that wall if you don't look out." My eyes opened wide, then I braced myself for the inevitable impact that never came.
Okay, I'm not really sure what happened back there, but I'm in now, I thought, patting down my hair and marching into the Hogwarts Express with my head held high.
(March 7, 2009 - 7:34 pm)
Sally leaned out of the train window and waved at her receding parents standing on the distant platform. She blew one last kiss and then ducked back into the train compartment, glancing at her two friends and sighing.
"Well, we're finally on our way huh?" her friend Lisa Downy said.
Sally nodded and looked absently out the foggy window. Mike Holly, a stocky 3rd year with a shock of curly brown hair, sat across from her. He looked at her concerned, and caught Lisa's eye.
"Sally," Lisa said softly, "are you okay?"
Sally appeared to not have heard.
"Sally!" Lisa said again, louder.
Sally started and looked around, saying "What? Watsa matter?"
Lisa shook her head and said "Mike and I are worried Sally. You hadn't been writing lately, and now you're being...distant."
"Nothing's wrong with me," Sally said angrily. "What, am I not allowed to think now or something?"
"Of course you are," Lisa said softly. "It's just that... usually you're more... sociable."
Sally rolled her eyes and looked back out the window into the cold day. She didn't know what was the matter with her. Lately she had just felt.... gross.
Just then a pale boy with slicked back blonde hair sauntered by the small compartment. He glanced through the glass door and then sneered at them. Sally and Mike got up, and Mike threw open the sliding door.
"What do you want?" Mike asked in disgust.
"Nothing in particular," the boy answered. "Just scouting out the scummiest people going to this school."
"Yup, that's the Malfoy kid for sure," said Sally with contempt.
Mike growled and slammed the door shut, rattling the compartment. Sally scowled at the boy and he smiled back, laughing and strutting back down the train. Sally stalked back to her seat and Mike sat heavily down, his face set in a frown.
(March 7, 2009 - 8:59 pm)
I left Oliver and Drusilla exchanging insults with the Potter boys and went to find a compartment. I found Scorpius sitting alone in a compartment about halfway down the train, and went in on a whim.
"Hi," I said with a slight smile. "Mind if I sit down?"
Scorpius shook his head. "No. Not at all."
The Malfoys had largely fallen out of favor with the wizarding community since the fiasco with the Dark Lord nineteen years ago. Still, they were luckier than my family; at least they were left to their own devices and free. My father was rotting away in a cell in Azkaban.
"I'm Belinda," I said, holding out a hand. The boy shook it.
"Scorpius," he said. "Nice to meet you."
"Same to you," I said, sitting. "You look exactly like your dad."
He laughed a little nervously. "So they tell me."
"Bet it gets old," I said.
"Kinda."
"Sorry."
"S'alright," he said carelessly. Scorpius squirmed in his seat. "What time is it?"
"The train doesn't leave for another ten minutes, Grasshopper," I said dryly. "And rest assured, Hogwarts will not disappear within that time span."
His cheeks turned a little pink. "Right," he mumbled.
"You're just excited to be off."
"Yeah!" He looked up, his eyes glowing with excitement.
The compartment door slid back, and I glanced up, expecting Oliver or Drusilla.
Instead it was that second-year who'd been standing with Albus when Drusilla pounced on him. "What do you want?" I asked flatly. She had secondhand robes and she looked rather scatterbrained; my instincts screamed Mudblood.
"I... er... I was just... um... That is to say I..."
"Out with it!" I said coldly.
The girl shrank a little. "Everywhere else is full," she said in a very small voice.
"Forget it," I said. "I don't want to spend the entire ride with that stench sitting next to me. Go away."
(March 8, 2009 - 2:31 am)
I gritted my teeth. Keep calm, keep calm. The last time I got angry with a bully he ended up with warts all over his face - but that was a long time ago, in my Muggle school. "I - well - I guess I'll just - I don't stink - but I'll just - "
"Stink?" James and his brother walked by. James snorted. "I don't smell anything."
"She's a Mudblood," the girl said.
Albus Severus' eyes grew wide. James snapped.
"Just so you know, that word could give you detention!" he said. "We don't live in Pure-Blood Bigot-World anymore."
"Who says?" the girl asked. "Your dad?"
I squirmed uncomfortably. A year at Hogwarts and I still didn't know about all the references to James and Albus' dad. I began to leave, but as I left, I heard James threatening the Slytherin girl.
"My mum's sister-in-law is Muggle-born, and she's brilliant. If you call one more person Mudblood, you'll have my dad to reckon with." James left with Albus.
I sighed. I still didn't have a compartment, but I did have an enemy -- and an ignorant feeling that left me feeling awful. I was walking around, looking for a compartment, when I bumped into a girl with brown hair and blue eyes.
"Hi," she said, going into a compartment. There was no one else in it.
"Hi," I said. "Can I come in? Everywhere else is fulll."
"Oh, sure!" the girl said, readjusting her hat. "My name's Keira, by the way."
(March 8, 2009 - 5:19 pm)
I saw James and Albus up ahead and hurried up to catch up with them.
"Hey, James, were you arguing with Belinda Selywyn back there or was I only daydreaming? " I teased. " Yeah, she was saying that one of the second-year Muggle-borns stank and called her a Mudblood, so I had to step in.", he replied.
"Um, why was she so rude to James?" piped up Albus. "I thought Dad was famous and everyone respected him!" " Yeah, well, her parents supported Voldemort and their only opinion of your dad is that he's a half-blood nutter." I replied, laughing at his naiveness. Well, I was like that last year too, I suppose. "C'mon, I bet that there's not many seats left, so we better hurry, or we'll have to stand," I remarked to James, quickening my pace as I did. There was only one compartment left, with only two people in it. " Hey," Albus squeaked at us, " that's the girl that was talking to me earlier!"
"Hi, do you mind if we sit in here with you guys? It's the only compartment left." I asked, poking my head in. " Hey! You're in my Charms class, aren't you? Lilian, if I remember your name correctly, but as I'm horrible with names you never can tell." I was more than a little surprised when she answered, saying " Yeah, I'm Lilian. You're Hazel Lorena, right? Of course you can come in." Wow! I actually got someones name right!
I pushed James and Albus in, then closed the door as I came in after them. The girls eyes widened. "You know them!? They're, like, celebrities! "
"Um, yeah, we're second cousins." I thought everyone knew that, but I suppose they are Muggle-born and wouldn't know who's related to who. The other girl--a first year--was in more or less the same state of shock. Oh, well, at least we got decent seats.
**********************************************
Lena, does that work?
I hope I got your name right, I really am not good with names....
Keira, are you good with that too?
Just checking........
(March 9, 2009 - 8:03 pm)
Yes, that works. :)
I smiled at Hazel Lorena, pleased not to have made a fool of myself in front of someone, at least. And anyway, the Slytherins had a bad reputation so I guess it made sense that they wouldn't be as nice.
"So, are you looking forward to Hogwarts?" I asked Albus Severus as the train began to pull away.
"Yup!" he said, beaming. "But everyone stares at me and James."
"James and I." Whoops! I clamped a hand over my mouth as everyone stared at me. In Muggle school I had always been the best in grammar, but this was different.
"Yeah, James and I," Albus said.
"Why wouldn't they? Your dad's famous!" Hazel said.
"I know." Albus beamed at the praise of his father.
"And you're named after one of the other greatest wizards of all time," Hazel said.
"Dumbledore, right?" I hoped I got that right.
"Muggle-born?" Hazel asked at my guess. "Yeah, it's Albus Dumbledore. He helped James and Albus' dad bring down Voldemort."
At that moment there was a knock on the compartment door.
(March 10, 2009 - 8:52 am)
yah, that works.
(March 10, 2009 - 2:38 pm)
wait. I've never done this before, so I have a few questions . . .
Are we supposed to include the other characters in our little POV blurb? I'm pretty sure we do, I'm just making certain.
Actually, that was just one question. But please answer it!!
