I checked out...
I checked out the one for Warriors, and it looked fun, although I know nothing about Warriors. So, do any of you HP fans out there want to start one?

Yay! Another Slytherin! Welcome!
(March 8, 2009 - 9:46 pm)
Hey, are you related to the Selwyns who Umbridge claims she is related to and claims that the S on the locket horcrux symbolizes?
(March 6, 2009 - 12:14 pm)
Yes. More specifically, I am the child of one of the death eaters who showed up at Xenophilius Lovegood's house in DH. Aiming for the whole Slytherin = pureblood bigots angle.

It seems everyone wants a next-generation RPG. Very well then. Since nothing much seems to have happened, shall we start on the first day of term?
Also, I will be keeping a Numbers chart of profiles so if confusion arises about who's who we'll have a relatively easy method of finding out.

Is it the first day when we all get Sorted, or is it the first day of classes?
(March 7, 2009 - 8:19 am)
Right. I need a profile!

You're a second year, like me.
(March 7, 2009 - 6:05 pm)
Being that you're in second year, you would only be in the seven core classes, Astronomy, Charms, DADA, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions, and Transfiguration.
A note for everybody: Hogwarts elective classes (Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, Ancient Runes, Divination, etc.) are chosen (at least 2) at the end of the second year and begun in the first year. So if your character is in second or third year they are not in any elective classes. Furthermore core classes must be continued until the sixth year after O.W.Ls have been taken, so if your character is in year 1-5 they must be taking all seven core classes. /rant

WTH?
1st and 2nd years = no electives. 3 year plus = at least two electives. 1st-5th year = all seven core classes. My numbers were screwy. *shrug*
(March 8, 2009 - 1:58 pm)
For those of you who need elective classes, the known options are Muggle Studies, Divination, Arithmancy, Care of Magical Creatures, and Ancient Runes. There are probably more, however, these are just the ones JKR included in her books.

I took a quiz once, and I was in Ravenclaw! I'll be Lizzie Alexander from Ravenclaw!
(March 7, 2009 - 10:12 am)
Oppsy! Forgot my description!
Straight brown hair, blue eyes, 5,3, not fat, and a little skinny.
Wand: ??? I need help with that! I don't know all the different wands!
(March 7, 2009 - 10:15 am)
Wands are made of any of several different woods; JKR used a celtic calender deal to determine her main character's wandwood. Elder, holly, ash, willow, birch, and alder are commonly used wandwoods.
The most commonly used cores are unicorn hair, dragon heartstring, and phoenix feather.
There is an (unproven) theory that wand length relates somehow to height.

I forgot my year and classes! Ok,
Year: 13 so 3rd year
Classes: Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies (Interesting!) Divination, Arthmancy, Charms I think It's called and probably more later!

((Shall we begin?))
I stood in the shadows on Platform 9 3/4. Everyone was crowding around the Potters, as per usual. The newest boy - Albus Severus, what a name! - looked petrified. James was grinning diabolically and I guessed that he was scaring his brother with horror stories about ghosts, teachers, and maze-like corridors. The youngest girl was whining.
I ran a hand through my hair, pushing it out of my face as I searched the crowd for my friends. One of them found me first, however.
"Hey Bells," said a tall, elf-like boy, sauntering up from behind me.
"Morning, Oliver," I said, grinning up at him. "You grew."
He laughed. "July. It was a good month."
"Maybe you'll make keeper this year?" I said dryly. Last year Oliver hadn't quite made the cut, as his small stature had made it difficult for him to block properly.
"Hopefully." Oliver grinned. "How was your summer?"
"Uneventful," I said. "The highlight was when mum set the stove on fire."
"Yeah, you told me about that." Oliver smirked. "Blue flames!"
"It was kind of pretty," I replied with a smile.
Oliver suddenly focused on a spot behind me, and he waved. I turned around to see Drusilla just coming through the archway. She looked up, saw us, and grinned. She threaded her way through throngs of other students and their parents.
"Zabini, Belinda," she said with a grin. "'lo."
"Hi," mumbled Oliver, staring down at his shoes. I sighed.
"Oh - did I tell you?" asked Drusilla. "I'm prefect!"
"Only about three times," I said. "But congratulations once again."
"So mind your manners, or I'll give you detention," said Drusilla with a wicked grin.
