Hey everyone !

Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Book Club ? Yes ? No ? Okaay .
Hey everyone !...

Hey everyone !

I don't think I've ever done this before , I think I've suggested it , but always been rejected .. anyway , does anyone want to start a book club ? Or is there already one ?

I think that we should discuss it in this thread ( if we do decide to start one , or don't ) &we'll start it in a different thread . Sound aighht ?

Well , if we do decide to do one , I think that we need to pick a certain genre ? Or maybe just rule a certain genre out ? ( i really dunno what I'm doing , lol ) . Well for example , I'm all for a book club w. different types of books and genres , there are just certain types of books I refuse to read .

Like anything w. sorcery ( Harry Potter for example .. ) I am not going to read . I'm Christian , and in the Bible it specifically says not too engage w. that sort of stuff .. ( sorry , not trying to turn this into a religous debate .... )

So , if we start one , please no sorcery (:

That's all . Now you may comment (:

( Oh yea , please keep in mind that it's a book club , not school so no really big books .. or expensive ones )

@ Vida:

So have I! Twice! (I am one of the obsessed.)

I like Anne of Green Gables. Or The Girl Who Could Fly is a great one. It's about a bunch of kids with super powers.

Not as obsessed as me, I've read it four time over (all eight) and I've read the first book six times and last book five. Plus, I own two copies of each book. I like reading :D.

Maybe a classic, because those tend to be more realistic.  Does Jules Verne count as sorcery?  Or maybe one of Dickens' lighter books.

A little off subject, but speaking of Dickens, I'm in the middle of Oliver Twist right now and it is amazing. Except sometimes characters mysteriously dissapear.

Zaga said "Fear." I'm not kidding. That's scary, Zaga.

@Theo W.

I'm glad you like it. Is this your first Dickens' book?

Yes, it is!

Zaga says "Zagg." Zaga! It has one less g and one more a! You're almost there, Zaga!

I might do it.  It depends on the book.  I think a Wendy Mass book would be a fun read.:)

I have always wanted to read The Westing Game! I think it would be cool to set up a book club on the CB!

I like Anne of Green Gables, and Alcott's books. Storybound has magic in it, but it's really good!

I like Wendy Mass. The Ark, the Reed, and the Fire Cloud is good book, but it's 450 pages.
