Tarbell's Course In Magic, Volume 1!
This book is really cool, even though I just started.
Finished Will Grayon, Will Grayson and Stardust.
Started I Am Number Four

So my library's doing this cool thing called Blind Date With a Book, in which you check out a book that is all wrapped up and only has a few things on it telling you generally what it's about. I think this is SUPER-AMAZING (especially since I just saw it on Pinterest a few days ago and I was hoping we'd do something like it).
Anyhoo, I got a book called Snow Crash, by Neal Stephenson. The label said it was "sci-fi/cyberpunk, with virtual worlds and high-speed pizza delivery." So far, it's really good. I would recommend it to people if they don't mind explicit language.

That sounds so cool. What if you've read the book already?
I read a chapter sampler for a book called Starters this morning. Has anyone else read the real book? Because I found it really interesting.

Then you read it again, I guess.
I tried to read that one, but I didn't like it. The main character grated on me and I didn't really like the premise. But don't listen to me! Go forth and make your own decisions.

@L
I wish my library would do that! Even though I've read most of the books they have that I'd want to read.:P

You pinterest too? :)

I'm reading Princess Academy by Shannon Hale.
(February 9, 2013 - 3:15 pm)
@ Teresa; I love Princess Academy! I got it from the library, not knowing what all it was about. I don't really care for romance, but other than that aspect, I really enjoyed it! Plus, I'm glad someone could make a SHORT heroine! Something I've always thought people should do. I don't understand why you have to be tall to be a heroine, or if your blonde, you're labeled unintelligent! Really!

Since I've last been on this thread, I finished The Friday Society and Divergent. Now I'm reading Dark Star by Bethany Frenette.
(February 11, 2013 - 11:30 am)
My friend just finished reading Divergent. I love Divergent so much. I sound like a robot.
I'm reading The Diviners, by Libba Bray, and still Tarbell and I Am Number Four.
(February 12, 2013 - 6:02 pm)
Divergent is awesome. I really want to get it in English. Have you read Insurgent?
Since I've been sick and didn't feel like concentrating on Wurthering Heights, I started Will Grayson, Will Grayson, which was good but not as good as Paper Towns. Sometimes the one Will Grayson was sort of depressing and it sort of annoyed me because I didn't really feel like reading something really mopey. Now I'm reading Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech.

@ Elizabeth
I have Walk Two Moons! It's such a great book, isn't it? It's a little sad, but the mysterious, philosophical air it has totally makes up for that! Besides, it's refreshing to read a good, thoughtful, melancholy book every once in a while. Have you read Bloomability? If so, is it good? I've been looking around to see if I should read it.

I loved the beginning and the factions idea so much in Divergent. I hated the ending. Why does every dystopian story I read have to end in war? You can do dystopian without a rebellion.
How was Diviners? It's on my gigantic list of books to read. I am number four is great. I've read the second one too.

@ Melody:
Diviners is really good so far. Not as good as Going Bovine, though.
(February 13, 2013 - 4:43 pm)
@Melody- I think they end in war because that's how a lot of people imagine the future, plus it makes for an exciting story.
I'm thinking of starting Bitterblue.
