The Warriors Series

by Erin Hunter
These books are great ! They are about a house cat who wanders into the forest and suddenly finds himself in a world of action. Although having a part in ongoing wars between rival clans of cats may not seem fun, Rusty finds that he was not meant to be a house cat, he was meant to be a warrior . . .

I love the Warriors books, and I also want to say that Erin Hunter is also writing book(s?) about bears, and the first book (or mabye the series title?) is called Seeker.

Ilove these books. they hooked me instantly and though the descriptions sound a little strange, the books are (angel singing please) AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must explain one thing: every time a clan cat moves up in rank, his name changes. newborns' names end in -kit and remain so until they are six moons (months) old, when they become apprentences (whose names end in -paw.) then, when they have proved their loyalty and valor to the clan, they become warriors, whose names are (again) changed. throughout all the name-- changing though, the root of the name stays the same.

(eg: Rusty the kittypet's name changes from Rusty to, in following order: Firepaw, Fireheart, then when he becomes Clan Leader, Firestar. all leader's names end in -star.)

Readitsawesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Seekers. It is way better than warriors. I like them both, though.

No offense, but I... Seriously dislike Seekers.  I read about half of the first book, and stopped. Warriors > Seekers. Seekers isn't interesting.  What I read goes like this...

*Bear lose families and some dislike humans and meet weird magic bear thing*

Cat warriors, on the other hand... I love the clan thing.  The first two warriors series  were incredible, and Firestar's quest was good, too.  However, the third series... Had bad main characters, and nothing happened except all clan war for no reason and Sol! (Man!  I HATE Sol!) And 'omg we have powers'. (I did like the Jayfeather in the past thing)  I liked, that in the first series, the books had some sort of realisticness (Except for Starclan) but the third series ruined it! And they'll do it again in The Fourth Apprentice.  Stop the stupid plot and make better characters!  But, still, Cat warriors is many times better than Seekers. (The first two series, anyways.)

I think you should give Seekers another go. I will agree that most of the first book starts off really slow, but it picks up near the end and the action continues through the rest of the books.

This is only an opinion, but I really think you'd like them if you kept reading, because I had the same thoughts about the series when I first started.

But The Last Dragon Chronicles top all.

I can't believe Nisa died, Tobi died, Taqqiq is lost, and Oka abandoned Toklo so far! Such a sad way to start a book! I still like the series so far though.

wel youre allowed to have an opinion but i like the whole fantasy thing. it adds depth and mystery, both important elements for stories.

plus, Seekers is GOOD!!!!!!!!! maybe not as good as Warriors, but GOOD. Erin Hunter rocks.Cool

OK.  I  am a total Warriors addict. i read all the main books (as of now 17) and almost all of the supplements.  I think and dream about Warriors all the time.  I read the books over and over and over.  The series has kinda gotten to be like a soap opera, but it is still my favorite series. I'm addicted to it.  I could rattle on and on about Warriors forever.
