chapter one:
I used to have friends i could trust. One best friend that i could trust no-matter what.
That changed sometime in 6th grade. I guess lily could be another factor why that happened. But she more got in the way...
She started messing with me. Not lily. She started to mess with my head. I felt like my heart was being ripped out when she messed with me.

Since we're all authors here, I think it would be really helpful if we could exchange and share writing tips! I always find it eye-opening to read these. Here are some of the more important things I've learned throughout my writing experience.
(Note: there is no "right way" to do things, and I am by no means an expert. Take all my advice with a grain of salt.)

A city at night, darkness surrounding everything. But, glimmering lights can be spotted here and there, from the darkest alleyways to the highest skyscrapers.A
A small apartment on 13th street, a black cat jumps from one windowsill to the next, always keeping its balance. The cat reaches a window half-open, and jumps through. It lands on the floor, which is cluttered with plants and splatters of paint. The cat walks silently past the kitchen to a small pillow with the name 'Cece' on it, and settles down for the night.
