I actually kinda like debating religion.  I mean, it's cool to know what some people's beliefs are.  And, as a Catholic, I like to help inform people who don't know much about God or religion.  :)

Hehe, I agree with you R~D~.  Religious debates are fun, and yes as Catholics it is our duty to inform eveybuggy about God and well all that stuff.

Some kinds of religious debates are fun, yes.  I go to someplace called Hebrew School, which is like Sunday school for Jewish kids, and we have a lot of debates about religion and stuff.  But unfortunately because we have a lot of the same debates it tends to go around in circles!

Hey, that's cool that you are about to study for your bat mitzvah, Sara!  It's not as hard as it sounds.  I had my bat mitzvah like six months ago.

I'm kind of nervous because I have a little bit of stage fright but I just think about the party :P

I have like the biggest case of stage fright, and am really shy, so I was dreading having to sing at my bat mitzvah, but then I practiced so much that I knew what I was doing and I even had fun, and wasn't too nervous!

@ Amy G: I would still be willing to debate about something. But unfortunately, I'm not good at thinking of topics... So that would be up to you. But I definitely do enjoy debating. At least, I enjoy it as long as no one starts to get angry or offended. That happened frequently with the constant debating, I think, although it's hard to say because that type of comment was generally deleted. But I definitely do wish I was here for the majority of the debates, even though they tended to be very heated...

I did like the article very much.

Also, I'm Christian (but not Catholic, like the majority here), and it is a very large part of my life, although my brother is completely nonreligious. I don't at all like to debate major religious topics (this is my religion because of this, whereas your religion says this, which I disagree with because of this... that sort of thing. It gets people offended easily, and in my opinion, everyone else can practice whatever religion they want, or none at all.), but I do enjoy the minor things, like what certain Biblical verses and things actually mean. Not that anyone can know if either person is right, or, if so, which, but it's fun to think about.

Anyway, I agree with Smile about why there haven't been many articles on Christianity. Also, who's to say that there haven't been any in the past? And there have not been articles on 'almost every' other religion; to say so would be to forget just how many in the world there are. Even all of the other major ones haven't been covered. What about, say, Hinduism? I don't remember anything on that...

Just to revive the thread, and with it, perhaps, TM...

I refuse to discuss politics or religion.  Sorry.  With ANYONE.  My family (and therefore I too) holds very. very. very. very. unorthodox beliefs in both fields.  I'd rather leave those two alone.

So... if we want a debate...

A debate on vegetarianism.

A debate on feminism.

A debate on civil rights.

A debate on global warming.

These are kind of momentous issues ('scuse the word, please) - well, maybe not vegetarianism - anyway, they'd be interesting.

So, someone, please post here.

Admin, did you delete the first option??  I guess that was a bit morbid/potentially upsetting, sorry.  It was the first thing that popped into my head.

Spammy/TDM: drhb?????

Oh, and I originally had ΤΟPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOP!! in the Name:* field, but when I hit submit, it said "Name is longer than 20 characters."  It's never done that before.  Is there a reason??

Yes, I deleted your first suggestion. It's not an appropriate topic for Chatterbox. Our Webmaster may have limited the number of characters in the Name field. It's really just for the name which you use on Chatterbox. The length of your actual comment is not limited.

Oh, and the apostrophe before "scuse."  Thanks.  The Name:* field question was, if the characters are limited, why did the field let me put in more than 20?  It doesn't do that in the Location: box or the Age: box.  You don't have to answer that if you don't want.  It's just surprising.

Spammy/TDM: oenc????

My answer is: I don't know. Admins don't have the technical knowledge of the Webmaster.
