Ok, thx!
I'll do it with AEs
(July 17, 2023 - 3:59 pm)
I'd love to do the playlist! I'll post it tomorrow, unless someone else wants it.
(July 16, 2023 - 5:13 pm)
Maybe we could also do a lesser known endangered animal of the month? Or eco tip of the month? Things to help the environment and stuff. If so, I would gladly do it too, unless anyone else wants to?

@Poinsettia, if you could do the Book of the Month and the Threads to Check, that would be wonderful :)
@Avara, of course, you can do the playlist!
@CelineBurning Bright, thanks for offering to do the Important Dates :) And some commentary would also be great, though I'm planning on doing some myself as well. An eco tip is also a wonderful idea - if you want to do it too, you can, or else I will.
@pangolin, wonderful idea for the advice column! If you'd like, you could add a couple of songs to the playlist; you or anyone else who wants to could also do the quotes.

Here's the playlist!
Round Here by Counting Crows
Me and Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin
With or Without You by U2
Dancing in the Street by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas
Float On by Modest Mouse
(July 17, 2023 - 7:50 pm)
Alright, here are my songs~
august by Taylor Swift
Dog Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine
Chasing The Sun by Sara Bareilles
I can do quotes if no one else wants to, but Sine, Seadragon, and BookGirl all wanted to help so I'll wait and see if one of them wants to do it.
Also we should probably try to get the post asking for submissions out as soon as possible. Anyone got any ideas for the LMWAY?

I can do quotes :) They are probably only gonna be from books tho. Ill start working on those today :)

I also enjoyed the handwritten notes if anyone wants to possibly add that? And ooh, the dramatic entrance thread, good choice! That was SO MUCH fun reading!!!

And LMWAY... hmm... just throwing out some random ideas here! Maybe... idk, do we want something deep and sophisticated, funny and thoughtful, a would-you-rather-question, or helpful irl?? Maybe, like the funniest thing you saw thread, the funniest thing you've seen or experienced? Or the most ridiculous thing you can think of? Or, like you said Pangolin, getting ready for school (it IS almost August, Back to School Month. Which, btw, I've been working on important dates, so hopefully can get that posted tmrw? Except... tmrw I'm also going on vacation so you may not hear from me.)? Ooh, I just read an article on this, what about if ppl think it's ok to skip to the end of a book when you first start reading? I think that could lead to an interesting discussion and variety of answers (I, personally, say no, but my friend LOVES to know ALL the spoilers before reading a book! Some ppl claim it enhances the reading experience when you skip, bc you can enjoy the writing more if you already know where the plot is going and don't have to worry so much about stuff, can try to solve how the start goes to the end, and don't get jump-scared too much. And... reading books like Framed, where it starts at the ending, I get the point. But, NO SPOILERS STILL PLEASE!!). ANYWAYS, just a suggestion, if everyone agrees on that last question, I could post more information on both sides of it. But only if everyone wants.

I'll post inspiring quotes after this i just am sending in these first. Not all of them have to be used :)
bOOK QUOTES
“I had made up my
mind that if you didn’t come for me tonight I’d go down the track to that big
wild cherry tree at the bend, and climb up into it to stay all night. I
wouldn’t be a bit afraid, and it would be lovely to sleep in a wild cherry tree
all white with bloom in the moonshine, don’t you think? You could imagine you
were dwelling in marble halls, couldn’t you?” - Anne in Anne of Green Gables
“‘Christmas won’t be Christmas without any
presents,’ grumbled Jo, lying on the rug.” - Little Women
BookGirl, we don't allow links to outside websites. You can resubmit the quotes without links and they'll be posted. --admin
