Now we’re transitioning over to a brand-new section: AE Debates!  In this section, the AEs of Elsewhere, Inc. passionately debate over something ordinary.  I’ll start by introducing the AEs who participated:

 

Tsuki the Skywolf with Tempo, Spontaneity and Lucky Star

The debate subject: Bananas.

 

/Chai: HI GUYS! So I think bananas are good, but only when they taste sweet. There's another type of banana... I dunno if it's the ripe banana that's sweet or the not-ripe banana that's sweet, but whichever one that is is DELICIOUS in ice cream sundaes, which I eat two of daily.\

 

Spontaneity: *Scoffs* *Rolls eyes* EVERY banana is a crime against all that is sacred and holy.  Their texture: A smushy, deplorable mess.  Is it solid... or is it goo?  It's the consistency of food... after it's already been through the body.  And it tastes tangy and gross.

 

Tempo: Long story short, they're the DEMONIEST DEMON OF ALL OF THE DEMONIC DEMON FRUITS. 

 

Mx Out: I STRONGLY AGREE!

 

Yuki: Same. Bananas are awful.

 

Wyyiz: SO AWFUL.

 

StoryTeller: ~Yup~!

 

Aysha: ~&I agree with them.&~

 

Wyizz: We are just agreeing right now until we can find a good debate for us.

 

<Corrigenda: Well, bananas contain a protein that is known to help you relax and feel happy *two page rant on the proteins in bananas censored* So according to science, bananas are good. Also, Chai, eating two ice cream sundaes a day is NOT HEALTHY.>

 

/Chai: ALL OF YOU ARE WRONG! AND BANANAS ARE BERRIES! And if they contain protein and ice cream contains dairy, which are in the main food groups, then ice cream sundaes are perfectly healthy!\

 

Wyyiz: actually, they are berries, but just like Pancake, we hate them beyond infinity.

 

/Chai: While I will admit that bananas are not my favorite fruit (fruit-flavored candy is my favorite fruit, in case you were wondering) they do not deserve this disrespect! Have any of you ever had banana bread with chocolate chips? *shoves banana bread with chocolate chips in it into every single AE's faces* See? Good!\

 

Tempo: *eyes widen* *spits out bread* BLEAGH BLEAGH I'VE BEEN POISONED!!! I'VE BEEN POISONED! CALL A DOCTOR! CALL 911! *goes to the bathroom and brushes teeth several thousand times*

Spontaneity: *throws banana bread at Chai*

 

Tsuki [not actually an AE!]: Hey guys, chill.  No need for this to get too aggressive.

 

Spontaneity: This was your idea, Tsuki.  To LAUGH AT OUR PAIN.

 

Tsuki: Um, I-

 

Tempo: YOU BETRAYED US.

 

/Chai: Wow, you guys really don't like bananas, do you?\

 

Tamarindo: *almost in tears* I-I worked for hours on that banana bread…

 

/Chai: Hey, if I stuff these bananas in you banana-haters mouths so you can't talk 'cause you're in disgust, would I win the argument? *smiles evilly*

 

Tempo: Nuh-nuh-nuh-NO PLEASE DON'T WE'RE SORRY AREN'T WE NEITY WE WON'T DO IT AGAIN 

 

Spontaneity: *tries to apologize* *chokes on pride*

 

Lucky Star: Tamarindo, I'm very sorry about your banana bread…

 

Wyyiz: I like Banana bread, but not bananas. It's weird, but it's because Pancake is like that. so are all of Pancake's other AEs.

 

StoryTeller: ~Your banana bread was perfect Tamarindo~! ~Please make me more~!

 

Mx Out: I WANT MORE CHOCOLATE CHIPS NOW!!!!! 

 

Yuki: Here's a whole bag.

 

Aysha: ~&The bread was nice. Have you ever had zucchini bread?&~

 

StoryTeller: ~It doesn' taste like zucchini at all~! ~I promise~!

 

Wyyiz: Why must two AEs always use exclmation points?

 

StoryTeller: ~cause it looks better~! ~Duh~.

 

Mx Out: I am a very quiet person!!!!

SQUEAKY: Oh, Micky "Magic Fingers" Dolenz does it again! Go, Mike, GO RUN!!!

 

KITTY: *Chucks banana, peel and all, at Mike Nesmith, and SOMEHOW it goes INTO the footage, and now the episode has that scene where Mike Nesmith gets hit by a banana*

 

SQUEAKS: AHHH NOOOOOO NOT MIKE!!!!!!!!!!

 

KITTY: I DON'T LIKE MIKE ONLY BANANAS ANYONE WHO ADRES DISAGREE WITH ME WILL GET A BANANER-COVERED MIKE NESMITH PLUSHIE THROWN IN THEIR FACE!!!!!!

 

Emekittycon Kitten: Ok, well, that was...eventful. Gerat, now I gotta go to the TV set and get that banana goop offa Mike... WAIT DID KITTY SAY BANANA-COVERED MIKE NESMITH PLUSHIES?!?!?! I am SO gettin' one. Then I might have to throw it in the dishwasher, I MEAN THE DISH DRYER, I MEAN THE WASHERDRYER I MEAN THAT THING THAT WISHES DISHES I MEAN CLOTHES!!!!!!!! Hey everyone! This is Periwinkle, a member of Elsewhere, Inc. Elsewhere, Inc. is a group of CBers who are working together to reboot MCUs, which were originally created by Ella Starburst/Floof Industries. MCU stands for Monthly Check Up, and is sorta like a newspaper for the CB! Writing_In_The_Dark also does these, and we are alternating the months we do them.

What are some ways to keep a New Year's Resolution?

Some answers we have received:

From Pancake:

-Give yourself a reward everyday you manage to keep it

-Write it down and stick it  on your door.

Advice Column:

Try doing it with a friend or siblng! During quarantine, my sister and I tried to go for a walk or run every morning. We didn't keep it up for that long, but it was longer than I would have if I was doing it by myself. Having someone else doing it with you can motivate you a lot.
