Hi!
My name is Monica and I'm new to Chatterbox, but I've gotten Cricket for a year and I LOVE IT!!!!
I like to read, draw, and listen to music. I like to write, but I rarely actually get around to it. Some of my favorite series/books are: Keeper of the lost cities, Harry Potter, Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Fablehaven, and the Penderwicks. There are more, but those are a few. I can't wait to explore more of the Chatterbox and the Kyngdom. Can you just make up a name to use? That seems to be what a lot of people do.
Welcome, Monica. We're pleased to meet you! Most Chatterboxers do make up a name to use here, but your own first name is fine, too. I suggest you look around to see what names others use. Then if you want to assume a different name for Chatterbox, try to pick one you don't see anyone else using. It gets confusing if two different people post comments under the same name.

Hey Changeling Child! I'm Periwinkle, but you may call me Peri. Welcome to the CB! Seems we have some things in common. I'm a fan of Harry Potter and the Penderwicks as well. I want to try Keeper of the Lost Cities but haven't yet. I have an AE and a CAPTCHA. AE stands for alter-ego. It's basically a character you create to represent a part of your personality, then talk for in a different font, like this or this. CAPTCHAs are that little box at the bottom that you have to fill out. If you see something like "Cassi says xyhka" then people are talking about their CAPTCHAS. I'm sure both of mine desperately want to say hi. Isn't that right, guys?

Great! Wanderer, like most CAPTCHAs, can only speak with about 5 letters at a time. Anyways. What kinds of music do you like? I like listening to indie music and music from my favorite plays. Also, if you like drawing, maybe you'd like to do a picturings thread? (That's when you give CBers a form to fill out describing themselves/AEs/CAPTCHAs/characters and then you draw them) Most people do them at Pudding's Place.

I don't really have a favorite kind of music, I just have this playlist on Pandora. I like Enya, Taylor Swift, and Andrew Peterson. Thanks for telling me about picturings! Maybe I will do one, but I don't know how to upload my art yet. If anyone knows, please tell me. Anyhow, thanks for welcoming me!

Welcome CC (Is it alright if I call you that?) to the CB! It's so exciting to meet you! I LOVE books, just like you, and I've been trying to write a story lately, even though it can be hard to on some days. I am also new here (I've been here for a little less than a month now) and it is great to meet someone else who's new to the CB. Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, but my name is pangolin! ChangelingChild is a pretty cool name, and I hope you have fun on the Chatterbox! A picturing is basically when you post a thread, usually on the Pudding's Place section, and ask people to give you their, or their OCs or AEs (OC stands for orginal character, basically a character you make up, and AE stands for alter ego, a part of your personality that appears on your Chatterbox posts, talking in different text styles) apperances, personality, and anything else you ask, and you draw them! Okay, that was super confusing. *takes deep breath* Let's try that again.
Basically, you give a blank form for people to fill out. Here's an example.
Hi! If you'd like a picturing, please fill out the form below!

Age:
Gender:
Appearance:
Poses:
Other:
Then other people fill out the form in a reply to your thread, and, using the form as a guide, draw them! There's really no right or wrong way to do it, but this is usually how other CBers do it. Have fun drawing <333
