I know there has been a lot of talk about this but I've never spent time reading the threads because I hadn't read the Hunger Games until NOW!
So I've been looking at pictures of the people (Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Prim). I'm really not sure if I like who's playing Katniss. I always imagined her with a really distinctive look and dark brown skin. This girl seems too pretty.
Peeta. At first I was like: Oh no. This can't be Peeta. I'm still not sure if I'm happy about it. He looks too... Happy? Cute? I don't know how I imagined Peeta but the guy who's playing Peeta doesn't seem like Peeta, though I could be wrong... Isn't Peeta blonde?
Gale. Liam Hemsworth. Certainly not my first choice (I do find him quite handsome...). After thinking about it for a while, I think he might do quite well as Gale.
Prim. The girl (Willow something or other) playing her seems perfect (judging on the picture). That's really all I have to say.
What do you think? Who are the other actors?
Have they come out with an "official" trailer, yet? I've seen a lot of trailers on YouTube, some of which I knew were fan-made and not real but then I saw this really sad one and it seemed like it could almost be an official trailer. I saw the teaser trailer that Olive was talking about but I always thought teaser meant they were making fun of it. As Olive said Rue's four note tone was perfect. I really thought it was beautiful. I would've liked to see more. I'm dying to see the movie.
Are they making three movies or are they just putting all three books together to make a movie?

Look at Foxface! I actually wanted her to win. I know, I know, I'm sorry. I just really liked her. Sobs.

ANYWAYS! JenLawrence (Katniss) dyed her hair dark if you were wondering... and she got an Oscar nomination so she's probably a good actor.
I, on the other hand, lurf (tell me where that's from!) the choice for Peeta. He was in the Kids are All Right which I've seen a part of and he seems like a good actor. Oh. And they dyed his hair dirty blond. And don't start on his looks. Would you rather they cast a perfect Peeta-look alike who's out there somewhere but probably can't act? Or JHutcherson who can act well and can look somewhat like Peeta? ;) (I sorta, um, get defensive sometimes)
Gale. Bleh. I won't judge him until I see him though.
Lenny Kravitz was in Precious, so he's probably a good actor. He didn't even audition and Gary Ross (the director) asked him to be in it so...
Woody Harrelson is probably good.
Rue. Is. Awesome.
Clobe. Is. Awesome. (she was the main charrie in Orphan for crying out loud!)
Cato... -_- Looks nothing like my head!canon Cato. Too skinny and short and blond imo. But he seems like a good actor... I guess.

Okay, I just saw Jen Lawrence as Katniss and I think she looks pretty good. Especially when her face is all dirty. :)
They died his hair?! Oh. I've been looking at this website and all of the Peeta pictures are brown haired... I guess I won't get at his looks too much, though. It basically matters if he can act well. Was he in Bridge to Terabithia or was that the Percy Jackson guy?
I so hope they don't ruin this movie. :)
I've seen on older threads that certain persons think this'll be R. I don't think so. It's more PG-13 material, don't you think?
I must admit, Liam H. is pretty good looking. I need to see Katniss's dresses!

They're making 4 films. I don't know why, or what they'll call the 4th, but they are. :|

@ZB: They are? I thought they're making three. But if they are making four, they'll probably split up Mockingjay into Part 1 and 2 like they did with Breaking Dawn and the Deathly Hallows.
Anyways, the guy in Bridge to Teribithia is playing Cato, not Peeta. The guy who's playing Peeta was in the Kids are All Right. ;)

I <3 The actor who's playing Gale! Yeah, I was watching some videos and they said they were making four. I'm not sure whether or not he'll have brown or blond hair, though I <3 Josh Hutcherson! I'm soooo excited!! If you don't know who everyone else is going to be, I found a really great website that lists the trailors and who's playing who!
Katniss: Jennifer Lawrence (who's getting black hair :)
Peeta: Jost Hutcherson (not sure what his hair's gonnga be, though I'm really excited for the scene where he gives her the burned bread <3)
Effie: Elizabeth Banks (she's dying her hair pink!)

Haymitch: Woody Harrelson (I kinda wanted it to be Jack Black... he would've been a good Haymitch :)

I found them on YouTube. For the Hanging Tree, the best one (that I've found) is a still with an orangesh background and a silohuette of a tree. That's the best one. And for Rue's lullaby, the one's I've seen weren't very good. :)

Haymitch: I really like Jack Black, too, but Woody seems to really fit my imagination's Haymitch!

Just listened to the Hanging Tree (the one ZB recomended). I like it. There's also a piano version (blue background with tree silohuettes) I kind of like that, too. I found a version of Rue's Lullaby that I really like. If you look it up, it has the Mockingjay pin and then pictures of people Katniss, Peeta, Gale, and Rue at the top above them.
