Tangled:
I saw this movie in the theater on Saturday, and guess what!!! Old Disney has returned!! It was a real, honest-to-goodness princess movie. I loved the twist on the Rapunzel fairy tale; there were actual songs, the animation was AMAZING (especially the part with the paper lanterns floating over the water at night), and it wasn't like those stupid movies that appeal to 5 year old boys with a bunch of potty humor thrown in. The ending was SO unexpected. I was sitting there thinking, "Wha????????? That is SO not supposed to happen!!" I was very interested to see how they would resolve the crisis. It was so sweet! And I also *loved* the new 'do at the end. You should definitely see it!!! (note: this does not apply to boys)

Wha?? Real Disney? Like their original Snow White and The Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty? For real? Wow...maybe I do want to see it.

To the top! And yes, although the songs were not as awesome as Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast (you can't top that anyway), they were REAL Disney songs!!! There was a good one called "Mother Knows Best" and a really pretty duet.

I'm going to say.... Rapunzel! :) Or Mulan but she isn't really a princess....

@Becka: Maid Marian all the way!

Yeesh, that's a hard question. Umm........Jasmine, Ariel, or Belle. I can't decide. Although my favorite villians are Malificent and Ursula. Ursula is positively terrifying and funny, plus she sings great songs, but Malificent is plain evil.

Fave princess: Ariel. Love her. I always wanted to have a tail and hair her length.
Villain: this is an obscure one, but Chernabog b/c of Kingdom Keepers
THERE IS A THREAD FOR DISNEY!!!!!!

I saw this movie with my little sister a couple days after it came out in theaters, and I do agree that it was really good! It does go back to how Disney originally was, & I loved all the songs that she sang. :) My sister also wants to say, "The songs were really nice. They were cool. I loved them. I liked how they were animated. I liked the action parts." (She's seven.) Tangled was a pretty cute movie, and I'd say that anyone should go see it, because they'd like it. :)

Oooh, it's like the Old Disney? I just might have to see it then! :D How awesome! Ha, ha, Becka's right, I'm pretty sure that Gary will stay home if we do decide to watch it. ;)
My favorite princess is and probably always will be Ariel. I've always loved the idea of living under the sea! :) I dressed up as her for Halloween when I was 4-5 years old. :)

ZOMG I love this movie so much!! It was so adorable and I reverted to being about seven for a few hours after watching it :D I love the Old Disney style, haha. The only awkward part was, during that love scene on the water, the theater was full of these silent children, and then Koffee, pretty much the oldest one besides the parents, goes *snickersnicker* *gigglesnort* *full out laughter at self for snorting* Yes, so that was a little uncomfortable XD.

I went to saw Tangled with my friend over the weekend. Everyone else there was either a parent or a younger kid, which was weird. It was definitely a very good movie which everyone who loves Disney should see. True, the songs weren't as good as some of the others, but they made up for it with humor that didn't seem at all forced, like a lot nowadays. I loved the "Mother Knows Best" part the best, mostly because the song's so nice-sounding, it almost doesn't sound like a villain song, but the scene was really creepy. Hmm...my favorite princesses are Belle and Kida, but my favorite female charater would have to be Pacha's wife, from "The Emperor's New Groove." And I love the side kicks, 'cause their hilarious. Hey, have any of you guys seen any of the animated Dreamworks movies? Like "The Road to El Dorado" and "The Prince of Egypt"?
Whoa. That was a long comment.

@ Claire--I know, the humor was perfect! My favorite part was where the big scary guy at the pub says,
"Go. Live your dream."
(Finn) "I will."
"Your dream stinks. I was talking to her."

It sounds really good!
My favorite Disney princess would have to be Cinderella, all the way. That was my favorite movie ever (well, tied with 101 Dalmations, animated Disney) when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I'm a bit of an Ariel fan too. However, for years I couldn't watch it because the scene that begins with King Triton taking Ariel's place, followed by lots of lightning and a huge and scary Ursula, TERRIFIED me. Until I was like 8 or 9. (Yes, I was a bit of a wimp. :)
