Musicals!!!

So in the middle of the last few weeks of school I miraculously found time to watch the french musical Le Legende de Roi Arthur, which has been lying in my waiting list of musicals-to-watch for way too long and it was so good. The music and the lyrics and the costumes and the amazing actors and everything else were so crazy perfect that I now have all the songs on constant loop. And I'm so exited about discovering it(well, re-discovering it) that now I'm making this thread to talk about musicals. Feel free to share mind-blowing musicals with everyone and talk about your favorite actor or favorite song. So far I've watched Cats, Elisabeth and 1789-Lea Amants de La Bastille, and of course Le Legende de Roi Arthur.

Due to living in NYC for a while and having a family who lovesss theater I've seen about 30 something broadway or touring musicals in my time. I probably can't recall them all off the top of my head rn but some favorites that I've seen: Hadestown, Hamilton (seen the touring version twice), Wicked (once on broadway, once touring), varied Disney productions (Aladdin, Lion King, Frozen, etc), Les Mis, Beetlejuice the Musical, Moulin Rouge the Musical, Book of Mormon, Strange Loop (closed on broadway after one season even tho it won best musical... sigh), SIX, Dear Evan Hansen, Mean Girls the Musical, the Sound of Music, Matilda, and more that I'm definitely forgetting. Some faves I've never seen live include the Percy Jackson musical and In the Heights among others. I've seen the recorded version of Come From Away on Apple TV multiple times, it's soo good (and deserved the tony over Dear Evan Hansen but that's a separate conversation). I'm seeing the Outsiders musical this week, I can't wait!!
