Nyx darted under
Nyx darted under the cover of an overhanging rock in the cliff face, and wiped her short wet hair out of her eyes. She scanned the valley below her feet, but it was raining too heavily to see anything. It was dark, too, but that didn't matter to her. If anything, it helped.
Leaning against the hard stone once more, the girl continued to move forward. One foot in front of the other, slowly along a narrow ledge. She gripped the rock wall hard. One foot in front of the other, slowly, slowly. It quickly turned into a rhythm, and she no longer needed to think. Until the wall that she was trusting her life with fell away, and her with it.
She tumbled to her right, away from the cliff, off the ledge, down, down, down towards the tall trees and the raging river, swollen with rain. The cape around her neck billowed upwards, surrounding her with a soft black cloud. Nyx closed her eyes and thought, if I die, at least I will die in the darkness, in a storm. The same way I came. Then her head hit something hard yet soft, like a boulder covered in a blanket, and she knew no more.
Nyx was fast asleep with a welt growing fast under her hair, but she was safe. A giant eagle had seen her falling, even with the pelting rain, and had swooped to catch her. He flew into the night, away to his aerie with the sleeping girl balanced between his wings.

This is my sheet:
Name- Nyx Mavros
Age- 15
Appearance- Small, with short black hair and dark blue eyes. She has light skin, but it has been tanned from her many years of living out in the open. She wears black leggings tucked into dark brown leather boots, and she has a long cape around her neck, fastened with a silver bird clasp. It goes down to her feet. She has a few freckles, and would probably have more if she was exposed to more sunlight. Her shirt is tight, and it has long sleeves. It is black. Her leather belt is dark brown, and she has her dagger sheath tied around her leg.
Power- Night and darkness are her strengths. She can see in the dark, but not so well in the day. She isn't nocturnal, but she wishes she could be. She greatly prefers night to daytime.
Background- Nyx was born in a large city called Babylon (not the one you know, a different one), and both of her parents were important people. Her mother was one of three government representatives for their city, and her father was a veteran. He had been a commander in the Great War.
When Nyx turned 10, she was sent to live with her mother's sister in the valley woods. Her parents wanted to give her time to find out what her power was. She discovered almost immediately that she was a child of the Night, and so her aunt let her go when she was 13. She lived by herself until recently, when she joined a group of people around her age, in the same situation as her. They trained to be warriors.

That's when this story starts. Nyx is running from some of her friends in a training game, and then she falls. Have fun with the story, and sorry about the large amount of writing!

Name- Marina Aguacci
Age- 14
Appearance- Latina, with sleek, waist-length, smooth, thick, straight dark brown hair always up in a loose braid. Has dark brown eyes with long lashes. Very pretty, but she doesn't care. Always wears a bluish-white short sleeved shirt and navy blue leggings under a navy-blue cape. The cape's clasp is a silver raindrop.
Personality- Very volatile and ever-changing, like a flowing river. One second it can be bubbling along peacefully and playfully, the next it can be raging furiously, much the same as Marina's moods.
Power- Water/Ice (Does this count as one? If not, just water)
Background- Born in a small peasant village to very poor parents who couldn't support her and left her in an orphanage when she was four years old. At the orphanage she befriended a very ill girl who was the only thing keeping her there. Sadly, when Marina was 9, her friend died and Marina fled the orphanage. She ran into the woods and stumbled upon a dry stream bed. Since she was very thirsty, she thought of water and unintentionally filled the stream. She discovered that she was a child of the Water. After wandering in the wilderness for a few months, she one night saw the fires of the warrior training camp and has stayed there ever since.

Catamounts are shapeshifters that can take the form of either a human or a mountain lion, so I would assume she's like that.

Ok, here's my character: <let me know if i need to change anything>
Name- Enian Rega
Age- 16
Gender- <added this in cause in contrast to everyone else's characters he's not a girl lol> Male
Appearance- Tall. Has short bright blond hair and dull gray eyes. He has freckles over the bridge of his nose and dimples whenever he smiles. He normally wears black pants with a gray shirt. usually has a black cloak over everything and a hood to cover his hair at night.
Personality- easy going, but usually keeps to himself. very wary. ill develop him more in the RP.
Power- Kinda confusing actually. He's blind, but he can "see" energy sorta. <yes, kind of like the character in Michael Vey. Also completely different as he can't see through stuff> basically he can sense energy of people and animals, so he is sometimes prone to running into things, yet has adapted to staying in the forest.
Background- Never remembers parents, as they died when he was very young. He lived with his uncle for a bit, until his uncle kicked him out. Since then he's been living in the forest, with his animal buddy, Timber <a wolf>

@Nighthawk, I didn't put a gender spot in my form because I don't really think that anyone should be limited by gender. If you want to specify the gender of your character, that's fine. Totally fine.
For Nyx, though, I'm only going to refer to her as a girl. She's pretty non-specific. Thanks :D
