#ASongAStoryContest
Hi guys! So I'm trying something new... it's a story contest! But not just any story contest. I pick a song, and all those who enter have to listen to the song, and write a story based on the name, emotions, and musical characteristics you feel in the song. Every story will be unique, and SOOOO much fun to read.
I, of course, will be judging, and if I could get two more people to volunteer to judge as well, that would be terrific.
And now... for the song! I will be choosing only instrumental songs, and if you search the song up as a music video, I ask you to try and not base the song off of the music VIDEO itself. Be creative! (Which I know you are. XD)
The first song is;
Drumroll, please!
Song of the Caged Bird by Lindsey Stirling! (If you don't know it, enter the song into a search bar and find it on youtube.
Deadline for the first story is... St. Patrick's Day! Have fun writing, and I hope to see your stories soon.

This is really weird but...
"I was walking around putting on my armour and worrying until I mounted my steed and then I just knew it wasn't going to be that bad.
I saw him at the other end of the field. We started riding towards each other galloping. I could see by how he rode that he was a great warrior, and then I knew. This was definently going to be hard.
Thoughts came rushing thruogh my head as we circled. We got our starting positions and then we came up to each other galloping all the way. I lifted my spear to dismount him and saw him lift his, then Crash!
I was dazed as I rode around again. He had almost, almost knocked off my helmet.
Immedietlly I rushed him. I knew I was crazy, who would do this, but I felt all my strength come out at once and crash I dismounted him. I won! I couldn't believe it!
This was ama- but why didn't he move? Oh no,no..."
I'm not great at writing apparentley, but Its basically about a duel on horses, like I said, super weird!

My story isn't ready on time. I'm sorry. I'm not going to give excuses: I know people hate it when others do such.
I'm going to have to drop out of the competition. :(

@Embers in the Ashes
No, don't drop out! I'll give you until Wednesday. How about that?
(March 17, 2017 - 4:02 pm)
Please, don't move the deadline for me. I've overcommitted myself and and I have to drop out. I'm sorry.
(March 18, 2017 - 6:48 am)
I still want the deadline to be Wednesday, though . . . It's fine if not.

Hi Myles! (again!) ;) I'm Eaglelad. (I tried writing Land and i worte lad...sorry if that was misleading). Lol)
That story was REALLY good!!!!!!! You should write more stories! I really enjoyed how you wrote that one!
You should also read Tamora Pierce! Some of her writing is like Howard Pyle!!!

I will definitely check her out, thanks!

I watched as her feet flashed over the floor. She looked as if she wasn't even touching it.
The music seemed to be dancing more with her, then she with it.
Her golden hair flashed in the sunlight.
Her hands lifted to make like a tree.
Then she was flying. Leaping. Moving like the wind.
I couldn't breathe. Couldn't think.
I was caught up in her movements as if I too was dancing.
She turned, her blue eyes looking into my face.
I caught my breath.
She smiled at me.
I couldn't imagine my luck. Was it chance?
Was it fate?
My eyes lifted. Men were standing around me. I remembered I was a prisoner, the King would never let me go. I was a rebel. Ready to die for what I believed.
Was it all a dream?
I smiled. No. It was better then that. Much better.
"Fate is a dream. But a dream is real. Feelings aren't real. But thoughts are...So keep dreamin. Maybe what you believe is worth dying for."

I don't know if you are interested or not. If you are I would highly suggest Adrian Von Ziegler's celtic music. It is kind of like Lindsy Sterling's music (Although nothing is quite like her awesome music) A good song might be Fear No Darkness Or maybe Part of the Pack. Also to anyone who would like inspirational music, his is wonderful! There are no lyrics.

Ack! So sorry! I completely forgot about this! Looks like I'll be withdrawing from this competition. Next round maybe! (School is becoming hectic; our school musical is coming up very soon. We shall see how often I can get on CB.)
